Indie game The Fall launches on the North American eShop today, August 26, for the Nintendo Wii U. Developed by Vancouver-based Over The Moon Games, The Fall is an action platformer full of story-driven gameplay and puzzles, previously crowd-funded on Kickstarter. The title released on PC back in May and received a glorious reception among backers and critics alike. According to the studio’s founder John Warner, The Fall is particularly suited for Wii U players believing it comes from the title’s Super Metroid influence. Warner said:
“They showed us overwhelming support during our Kickstarter campaign, so we’re excited to see how well the game is received. We already owe a large part of our success thus far to the Wii U community.”
The Fall releases for the Wii U eShop August 26 for North America, priced at $9.99. Over The Moon says a date for European Wii U owners is coming soon, but until then you’ll have to sit tight. Make sure you check out the trailer above to get a feel for the game.
Looks interesting. I might just try it since it’s only around 10 bucks. Of course, I’ll check out Miiverse first to see if the game is at least 5-10 hours long. I’d hate to be one of the people that got The Letter only to find out it’s only a couple of minutes long.
Cool
Yeah, seem pretty cool I guess..

Hey look! It’s me! I’m a super star!
*anyone but Justin Beiber*
Looks intriguing, although I can’t really see anything particularly innovative about the gameplay, at least.
This looks fantastic! I’m getting it right now.
