Here’s A New Video Showcasing The New Nintendo 3DS Console

Nintendo Japan has uploaded a new video which gives gamers a closer look at the new Nintendo 3DS system that was announced yesterday. The video shows off a number of features that can be found in the upcoming console including the new 3D viewing angle.

  1. Looks pretty nice there, the pictures don’t really convey it the same way, particularly the face plates part. Cool seeing the two new models side by side too. The new normal size one looks great to me, I’ll probably trade my current XL for that

  2. I pre-order the Japanese version and it’s the smaller customizable version so I’ll be getting in October for only £150 :)

      1. I’ll be doing a video review a day after and maybe an unboxing on launch day if I get it in time but I did go for express delivery :)

          1. A bit but not a whole lot, I actually got it from a site that does imports from Japan to the USA and Europe :)

But isn’t the console going to be completely in Japanese? Or can you change it, I am not to sure myself…

                  1. Wouldn’t it only require changing the region settings? Or is it more than that? (My current US 3DS warns me of possibly losing the ability to use features such as Miiverse if I change it, leading me to believe this due to the lack of services in some regions)

                    1. No, it doesn’t change anything. The 3DS model that he’s buying is already built in for Japan games only

  3. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

BTW, I love the customization feature, we don’t have to worry about getting a certain color or version like a standard or a one like the Zelda 3DSXL, anything goes.

  4. I’m not sure if I’ll get it when it comes out. It’s better than any old 3DS that’s for sure, but I had gotten my XL in March so I kinda feel like I wasted my money. I’d have happily waited all until next year if I found out about this, but no. I’m sticking with the black XL… Lol, nice try Nintendo. Trying to make me give you my money for another handheld yet again. That’s not happening. I honestly think this is what the 3DS should’ve been to begin with, but Nintendo keeps changing it around and charging you for it. They should really just make up their minds and stick with that decision. And making games exclusive to this thing was really not a good thing to do. They should’ve waited until their next handheld to do that. Idk WTF Nintendo keeps remaking this thing. And I bet in a few more years, they’ll announce another handheld which will then get yet another upgrade ripping off the launch customers. The people that buy it at launch will basically be giving Nintendo the money to make a brand new version which will not only be better than the version they have, but it will also be cheaper too in most cases. Why can’t they just do a design change and leave it at that? Why do they feel the need to rip off the early birds all the time? I wish Nintendo wasn’t so unpredictable all the time. It’s like you can’t trust them anymore.

    1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

It is not like that, technology had advanced and so this is one of those times, besides, you should have expected this, it happened with the DS, then the DS Lite, then the DSi, then the DSiXL.

        1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

I believe it did, so this shouldn’t be a surprise.
Come to think of it, the Game Boy Color was the first instance, can you say Link’s Awakening DX version?

      1. I know it happened with those old handhelds, but that doesn’t mean anything. That’s just another example of why Nintendo keeps screwing the early birds. It’s like their kids that can’t make up their minds on what flavor of ice cream they want. Lol. And technology didn’t advance. I’m pretty sure they couldn’t done this back in 2011. This is just extra add on features. And there are probably phones with better technology than this. Lol. I just don’t get why Nintendo keeps doing this. If I buy another handheld from them, I may as well wait until the generation is over. Because this is ridiculous.

        1. I don’t think they screwed the early birds. I bought 3DS on launch day so by the time this comes I’d have owned it for 4 years. I was thinking of upgrading to XL anyway, so now I’ll wait and get one of these. The people this has most hurt are the ones who hesitated and have only just bought a 3DS

          1. I totally agree. Got mine at launch and totally got my money’s worth. Though, I did just get the Zelda XL, but pretty is pretty, and fanservice is beautiful, so I’m still not gonna complain. Actually, I hope they make some Xenoblade model or at least customizable cover for the regular New 3DS. But I’ve even been using my XL where I’ll probably get my money’s worth of playing it by the time this comes out next year. And even if not, Xenoblade is all the motivator I need

        2. Well, it does have a new processor, and new and improved 3D technology. Perhaps they couldn’t of done this in 2011?

            1. It’s not a matter of if it was there or not it’s a metter of it being affordable… and yes they could have made this back then but people learn with mistakes, making mistakes was the only way of them seeing what things they had to improve…

              1. Yeah, I know it was affordable but would it really matter since you’d spend more upgrading over the years instead of keeping the same one? :S

        3. Screwing the early birds is giving them something with extreme hardware failures, ie. PS3 and xbox 360.

Sell your old 3ds for the new and improved model, it’s not that difficult. Xenoblades on the go is worth it by itself.

        4. I got my original 3ds at launch. I paid twice as much for it then most people. To make things worse I did not know about the Ambassador Program, so I did not get my 10 free gba games. Lol. The 3ds has been out for 4 to 5 years now. Sales are going strong but have slowed. My 3ds has under gone some wear and tear, but it still works. However if you compare the 3ds to the XL the original look outdated. The 3ds has neared it end, and you can’t accept that cuz you went and bought a 3ds XL at the wrong time. Your the child who buys choclate ice cream with his allowance. then the next day as he walked by the ice cream shop he see a new flaver, but he has no money. So he say ” stupid ice cream shop always making me waste my money” when he chose to buy the choclate. 4 to 5 years after the 3ds and you where not expecting a new one. That’s to bad you don’t under stand Nintendo. Oh and you make it seem like Nintendo has turned into Apple, selling a new device thats simple a lager model, or a little faster every year. It’s been 4 to 5 years since the 3ds came out, mabye more. Nintendo is not screwing any body over. There giving the people who have had the 3ds since launched and ever the years after it a better system. A well need system. It funny how every body said the 3ds was the shit. Then when this thing came out every one starred saying” hey why didn’t they make this in the first place”. Nintendo is about providing cheap entertainment. Lol. the 3ds did just that. this model is the Prince the fans who complained about only one analog stick. the 3ds was created to please the developers that said the 3ds is too weak, or wouldn’t develop for it as it only had one analog
stick. the fact is being priced at roughly the same amount as the 3ds is now in japan leads me to believe they could not have done this four years ago. the original 3ds was priced at almost 400 dollers. This new Nintendo 3ds will have alomst no price change form the curent 3ds sytems, and it will have better CPU, better 3d, more buttons, two analog sticks, amiibo functionalitys, and who nows what else it may have . Stop complaining about have a better 3ds for the almost the same price as the curent out dated 3ds. I hope you complain about how new cars come out every year. How a new phone is being made ever month. You should be happy Nintendo gave you 4 to 5 years to play with your 3ds, and its to bad you waited to the end of its life cycleto by one. Sorry if I just wrote something and it does not partain to you at all, because I may have replyed to the wrong person.

          1. Well, I don’t know about you, but I’d rather get the most out of money instead of repeatedly upgrading. I don’t have all the money in the world you know. The reason people buy things like consoles is because they’re are affordable and they don’t have to worry about upgrading every two years. I am not one of those original 3DS owners. I bought my 3DS XL in March and that was only about 5 months ago. I can buy this if I wanted to but I want this more than my normal XL so I basically just wasted my money. The exclusive games thing is also an issue. There WILL be games in the future exclusive to this thing that I want and I won’t be able to get them due to having an older model. Anyway, I AM going to get it in the future, but it’s annoying they’d bring this out right after I already bought one. And please don’t compare cars and such to this. I really hate when people do that. It’s obvious that they will have more cars and stuff upgraded every year. That isn’t like this at all. I’d have been switched to PC if I wanted to upgrade every year. :/

            1. Well then trade in your XL for new Nintendo 3ds. I think your a drama queen. Your blowing this way out of proportion. I did the same thing when the ddi came out. I got a ds light and then two weeks later the ddi came out. Just suck it up and say you failed hard just like a fialed when I bout my ds lite. At least you got a year to deside what your Gona do.

        5. SherlockWillFightBilbo

They’re trying to do what Apple does and make more money off of suckers and fanboys. The MINUTE the iPhone (let’s say…) 5S comes out, the iPhone 5 is obsolete. IMMEDIATELY. Or rather, in people’s mindsets. The phone that came out not even a year ago, the phone they just used happily the day before, is now useless and outdated. Millions of people line up for the release of a new iPhone and Apple makes billions off of those idiots.

Nintendo wants to make the same kind of money. They’re being idiots about it and are trying to get short-term money, because the problem they’re not foreseeing is the lack of faith they’re instilling in their customers. I got burned by buying the 3DS day-one because of the price drop and then the XL releasing…then the 2DS. But I thought, “I’ll get the Wii U right away too. They promised not to screw that up like they did with the 3DS.” Wrong. After months of saying they wouldn’t lower the price, they lowered it a WEEK after Iwata reiterated the fact. Zelda bundle. Mario bundle. Software droughts.

I’m not going to get the New 3DS right away, even if there’s a brand new handheld Zelda for it. I’ll wait because I don’t want to get $50+ stolen from me. Two years or so after the release of the New 3DS in North America Nintendo is going to release (not announce; release) their next-gen handheld.

          1. You pretty much summed up my thoughts about it. I want this but I’m not sure if I should even buy it because it’s probably not too long until they bring out a next gen handheld.

        6. You’re exactly right, the only thing I could validate is better 3d viewing and maybe the minor spec bump (which could’ve been in the original anyway). Having two new buttons and the much wanted 2nd control stick basically makes this an almost next gen system, which totally screws over the 40+ million 3ds userbase for any new games that’ll require the system.

    2. So you would have been ok with paying 500$ for a 3Ds in 2011, not too many people feel the same. This is not some simple cosmetic change, the whole system is 2x more powerful, and gives you the ability to play larger games, I have had my 3Ds for a year and I don’t feel ripped off at all besides it isn’t coming to NA until 2015.

        1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

500? I hope you are talking gold and diamond encrusted 3DS otherwise my friend you’ve been screwed.

          1. Holy fuck people on this site need to read, I said If Nintendo did this from the Beginning the 3Ds would have cost 500$, and NO one would buy it.

              1. The 3DS cost over 200$ at launch this New 3Ds is 2x more powerful with Better 3D so yeah double the price and you get around 500$. No one would have bought the 3Ds, I mean people didn’t start buying it until the end of 2012 when it dropped in price.

                1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

The initial price was the problem, which Nintendo acknowledged, it will either be max 200 or between 150-200.

                2. Double the power doesn’t mean $500. The Vita is still more powerful than this thing and it costed $50 more than the original 3DS. (I think) :P

                    1. Vita: What was that? You want to us SD Cards? Sure, BUT IT HAS TO BE MY CARDS!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

                1. Well of course but the 3D pushes the Price up on the 3Ds manufacturing, that is why this new enhanced 3D would likely make the 3Ds cost anywhere from 400-500$ if it was released back in 2011. Now that the Manufacturing Price has come down and Nintendo can actually give us a powerful handheld without charging an arm and a leg.

                  1. I’m pretty sure it would not have costed that much seeing as how they completely remade it (XL) and still added the 3D and it costed less than the normal 3DS.

                    1. Yep 3 years ago it wouldn’t have cost more adding a better CPU more VRAM and new/better 3D. “SARCASM”

                      1. The Vita is almost 3 years old now. So you point fails especially when talk about CPU and VRAM.

                        The Vita has…

                        -a superior OLED screen
                        -higher resolution
                        -better analog sticks
                        -better touch screens
-two cameras just like the 3DS
-2x more powerful quad core CPU
-4x the amount of RAM, 512MB
                        – about 30x the amount of VRAM 128MB…. Yes 30x!!!!!
-on top of being just about as small as the 3DS XL

So sure keep acting like the 3D really makes it that much more expensive, OLED at the time weren’t cheap to manufacture either as if the Vita didn’t cost shit to make and Sony still managed to make it as cheap as the 3DS cost at launch, way more powerful with better components and a better build in every sense. The 3DS XL feels cheap compared to the first Vita model, I’d know I own them both and I still feel like I paid too much money for the XL.

I am sorry but even loving Nintendo I always knew what a rip off the 3DS was at launch, the thing has 4MB of video memory for christ sakes compared to the Vita’s 128MB… and you want to talk about costs in manufacturing on top of the everything else being better in the Vita.

The Vita 1000 model looks like a damn Ferrari compared to the 3DS XL’s Volkswagen look. I’m sorry but these are just facts whether you prefer one more than other doesn’t go against any of the hardware aspects between the two devices.

I love them both equally though but I am not blind or don’t know what is inside the devices that I spend good money on. I probably play my Vita and 3DS XL more than any of my consoles but still I won’t act like Nintendo didn’t try to completely rip people off especially with the first 3DS. Even Nintendo made that obvious by dropping the price significantly within months of release, talk about over priced when it goes from $250 to $170 in a matter of months.

Sadly their doing the same thing with the Wii U, which is probably one of the main reasons it is selling so poorly. It is no where near the level of hardware that you’ll find in the Xbox One or PS4 yet it cost almost as much? Okay… It doesn’t even come with a decent amount of drive space.

                        A console with only 16GB to 32GB of drive space… I mean seriously…

I think a better question to be asking yourself, is how much would Nintendo be trying to sell the Wii U for it if had the same amount of memory as the PS4 or Xbox One and a 8 core CPU… Jesus christ, it would probably be $600-800 dollars with how Nintendo prices their systems considering the Wii U now only has a 3 core processor and 2GB of RAM and cost just about as much as a PS4 and Xbox One.

Not saying Sony hasn’t made their fair share of mistakes in the past or with pricing the PS3 that high either but at least they learn from their mistakes for the most part, Nintendo seems to have a very hard time with that.

                        1. I agree. They put all that high tech stuff in the Vita and it costs the same as an XL now. Lol.

                      2. The XL was just a bigger screen, and a more standard size at that. The original 3DS screens had to be specially made, the screens on the XL, despite having more material, had less work into making, and they didn’t really upgrade any of the 3D technology. Most of the improvements were simply from the size of the screen and maybe some slight adjustments. This implements facial tracking at the very least and auto-adjusts based on that. This alone could’ve easily added $150 to the original launch, but they probably standardized this new 3D tech over the years, meaning it’s become much cheaper. Think of how much cheaper flat screen HD TVs are now than when they launched. Heck, 4K TVs are already like 1/4 the prices they started at, maybe even less. They’re still 5-10x what they need for mass market, but technology prices drop very quickly with advanced technology and older tech becomes expensive to make because manufacturers have to go out of their way to make the stuff. The 3DS og tech is probably starting to go up in price because of outdated hardware, so this upgrade will probably actually keep their costs down, and they get better hardware out of it. Win-win

                  2. I’m not getting that either, people saying it would cost $500 to do this, whether they want to accept it the Vita has much better hardware in every sense, all it lacks is the 3D function and dual screens but every other component even trumps this current new model coming out still.

Strictly speaking from a hardware perspective because I know how butt hurt everyone is going to get over this comment.

Especially the first Vita, the new 2000 model is a lot cheaper made, Sony went all out on the first model and it still didn’t cost over $250 and there were plenty of bundles that came with a game and memory card..

What is stupid is people always bring up memory cards with the thing, Sony can’t help the PSP got hacked to shit and that is why the Vita has yet to be hacked in that way and now people are paying for their abuse of the PSP. As if people didn’t buy anything for their 3DS’s? Give me a break, I know I spent $50 on a really nice reliable 64GB card for mine. Sure it was cheaper than the Vita’s but lets not act like the 3DS came jam packed with everything also…

…and don’t even get me started on the Wii U and what that came with compared to every other console in the past 7 years. I don’t see people constantly complaining about that because it came with a measly 16gb and 32gb drive.

Plus 3DS games are so much smaller than the Vita’s most the time, so yea you can get away with a smaller card that is far more cheaper on the 3DS a lot longer than you could on the Vita but as everyone always says here no one is forcing you to buy anything.

No one was forcing you to need a big memory card for the Vita, you could have just bought a bunch of physical games instead like I did, I have still yet to need a big memory card on the thing and have had a 16gb card since I’ve had the thing at launch.

          2. If that means I would never have to upgrade every year, than of course. I paid $250 at launch, $200 on xl (cause my original broke on its own), and now another $250 on this new one bc it will have exclusive games. $500 On a single portable with the durability of a console and all the bells and whistles at launch, is better than spending $700+ on upgrades, or repairs on multiple handhelds. Sure its a hefty price, but at least I can focus on buying games and never have to worry about special designs or game exclusives.

              1. I just bought an XL last month, so of course this frustrates me. To those comparing it the GBA and DSI, neither of those were necessary to play the new games (outside of DSI ware, which wasn’t worth it). I could care less about this upgrade if it wasn’t for the exclusives.

              2. Not to mention most of everyone on here have steady jobs, who can just save up enough for the upgrade next year -.-

                1. I noticed that most people here that aren’t complaining have either bought a 3DS back at launch or they have multiple 3DS’s. :P The way I see it, if you bought an original 3DS, it won’t really affect you as much since you’ve had it way longer compared to other people, and if you own tons of 3DS, money isn’t even an issue to you. Lol. I was too busy with my Wii when 3DS launched so I didn’t get it. Then (last year in November) I decided it was time to finally buy one! And a few months later, I got the XL! :) I got the XL because it improves a lot of stuff from the original and that it would be more worth it. And then just as soon as I’m enjoying it, THIS happened. XD Seriously, I would not have bought my XL if I knew about this. And it’s gonna have exclusive games too? What if Majora’s Mask 3D is one of them? That would be messed up! I didn’t really care about the 3DS XL releasing after the original because it was basically just bigger with a few other things that didn’t really matter. But this thing? It has way better features than XL. Buying an XL after this would basically just be a waste of money. I’ll still get it eventually though and I do still think it’s cool that it has so many updated features, but I’m just disappointed I didn’t know about it beforehand so I could’ve saved my money. -.-

                  1. I had mine since launch, but I had just upgraded to XL. If I hadn’t upgraded I would not have been so mad about this.

        2. Do you know how much a 3ds like this model would have been at launch? It would have been an even more ridiculous pride than $250. Not many would pay even for that insane price.

Also Nintendo has done this forever.
Gameboy to gameboy pocket and light and color. All with their updates. Than the ds to ds lite to the xls, and then to the ds I which was basically just a testing ground for the 3ds and wii u’s marketplace.

            1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

No one forces anyone though and you can trade the old one in…

But Gamespot will probably need your DNA first…

                1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

It’s not anyone’s fault that you bought a 3DS a few months ago, bad luck only…

It’s the same as me buying the DSi XL and 4 months later, the 3DS was announced, basically because I bought it like 5 years into the DS lifetime while having the original around launch…

                  1. It’s not “bad luck”. I waited for the XL. Nintendo could’ve said “Hey, guys! We’re working on a new model of the 3DS that will be released next year!” That would’ve saved me money. And 3DS hasn’t been out that long. It’s not even 4 years old yet and there are already 3 (soon to be 4) versions. However, those other versions operate nearly the same which makes the purchase of those fair. THIS thing however is getting its own games which is a huge slap in the face.

        3. friedriceandkamehameha

Eh, got mine at launch and I’m fine with it. I feel bad for the people who have only gotten theirs within a year of the release of this though. But even still, 99% of games will still work on the original 3DS. This one’s probably just gonna get a few bigger games, maybe some third party games that couldn’t be put on the original due to some of the hardware limiting factors. For the most part, this is just like upgrading your flat screen 720p tv to a 1080p, it won’t matter for most people but it’s a nice option for those who want it. And since this upgrade makes a Xenoblade port possible, I am completely okay with this :D heck, that could be the only exclusive for it and I’ll still be happy, but that’s just cause I love Xenoblade that much

        4. @HollowGrapeJ oh stop complaining so much, It’s like saying apple shouldn’t release an iPhone every single year, well this is how business runs and of course they’re going to want people to buy their latest offering hence the exclusive titles, it’s a no brainer really. And so what if you bought an XL in March, I have 7 XL’s (Limited Editions) and I’m definitely going to get this new 3DS as soon as it’s out in the west.

          1. Quit comparing the iPhone to video game systems. They aren’t anywhere near the same thing. It’s always the same old excuse. Quit complaining because “insert company here” does it all the time, so it’s ok. As if I would ever buy a new phone every year. -.-

          1. That’s not the point. Of course I don’t need to upgrade, but I don’t want to miss out on extra features. They should’ve been there to begin with. And then I wouldn’t have to spend more money. -.-

            1. But imagine if they did, the cost would’ve been greater from the start. In sense, I wish they did but in terms of timing and price, they’re at least being a bit more considerate. At least they added new stuff that weren’t available before now like NFC/Amiibo and ZR/ZL buttons. The only thing that I’m confused over is the second analog stick which almost looks like a button to me and why didn’t they make it full sized is beyond me.

              1. Not really. Vita is like 2X more powerful than this thing and now it cost the same price as an XL. And it came out like a year or something after 3DS, so this technology clearly could’ve been done already.

                1. And if it did and the 3DS was priced at $250, guess what? Idiots will still complain Nintendo is overpricing their stuff. Trust me. No matter what Nintendo does: great, strange or bad, they will find excuses to make them look bad. It happens all the fucking time.

                  1. That is not true. It’s because Nintendo NEVER releases hardware on par with the competition. And that aggravates a lot of people. In order to play Nintendo games, they are forced to get an inferior system one of which they don’t like. I mean really. If you could buy Nintendo games on the PS4, who would even bother touching a Wii U? Exactly. Lol. It’s like whenever they decide to make a new system, they go back in time 6 years or some BS and pull out the weakest specs that they can possibly find. Come on now. When the Wii U launched, the deluxe set was $350. The PS4 is only $50 more! And if it’s the Gamepad spiking up the price like that, then they should’ve made it optional and focused more on the console itself. In fact, at Wii U’s E3, I don’t even think they showed the console. All they showed was Gamepad, Gamepad, Gamepad. It’s not really that special. Yeah, most people say, “Quit complaining and use the Pro Controller!” Oh, but then that completely defeats the purpose of the Gamepad. What’s the point of having it then? It raises the price of the console. So you’ll be paying for something you don’t want. If Nintendo was smart, they’d have not made it required for some games because they could’ve did like the 2DS and make a Gamepad-less Wii U. But someone at Nintendo thought it was just a brilliant idea to force every owner to use it. I mean, really? You can’t even play your Wii U for the first time without having it . Lol.

                    1. So my theory of “people buying consoles for specs, not games” is correct and has always been correct.

Actually, PS4 is $100 more when Wii U dropped the price before PS4 was released and still had little to no original games that’s actually good with a real lasting appeal. Gamepad its not all Nintendo showed about Wii U. Remember 3DS is “getting more attention” thing? lol But Wii U has its good share of games, unique collaborations and indies.

I get that you’re made about Pikmin being Gamepad dependent. lol But Jesus, its nothing like Kinect which wasn’t needed at all nor ever a good peripheral that works right.

                      1. Kinect is not required at all. Even with that original XB1 model, you did not even need to use it if you didn’t want to. You have to use the Gamepad for most of Wii U’s features. And even if Wii U is $100 cheaper, it still doesn’t change the fact that it was originally $350 and is overpriced for what it is. How the heck can a console that is only $50 more have 500 GB and a Blu-ray player where for $50 less, you get only 32 GB and it can’t even play standard DVD’s? o_O

                        1. That’s not how Xbox One was launched. I’m pretty sure it was as pointlessly forced. And again, you’re wrong. Wii U dependency is dropping with every update and the only few softwares that needs changing is Settings, Youtube/Internet and for your case in this: Pikmin 3. You say Wii U was overpriced but forgot that at the same time, Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect was similarly priced and you would excuse that crap and still say Nintendo did worse like any Internet fanboy would say. lol

As for PS4 cramping all features to be as flashy as possible, you forgot that PS4 is making Sony taking a loss with its cheaper price for consumers but not enough money for Sony to make up its sales loss for each sold units, same goes for Xbox One which Microsoft had lost half a billion on Xbox One alone on top of other financial losses from other platforms like Surface.

Again, do you buy gaming consoles for flashy BS or to enjoy the games it offers? Seems like nobody can’t tell the difference anymore and only buy flashy consoles to look cool for the next friend who will quickly turn away if they see you liking something else that they don’t.

The reason for 32GB on Wii U is because Nintendo isn’t completely embracing digital media yet and what’s odd about PS4 having 500GB is that the newer games take up more storage space than ever which means 500GB for those games are similarly lacking as Wii U’s 32GB space for its own range of titles.

DVD’s are almost nonexistent to me and other folks today since there’s Netflix, TV cable, iTunes, Hulu and bunch of other media services and Blu-Ray is almost too expensive for common consumers always searching for affordable options. Again, you’re missing the point between technology and state of economy as well as understanding the range of consumer demographics.

After all the so called positive things you cited about Wii U not to long ago, you now want to pull a 180 on me for the sake of attempting to best me in a debate over this? lol Bad move. I’ve done, heard and seen enough to understand what’s going on around me. Do you or are you just simply tearing pages off the “Internet smartass troll 101” handbook of cliche “comebacks” for argument points? IDK what’s worst: Debating people like this and over this to make a valid point or having to see you people type such crap making a complete embarrassment out of everything and everyone involving such part of life?

                          1. No it isn’t just Pikmin 3. I already told you that I can’t play half of my Wii U games, not even indies without needing to pick up the Gamepad. And the Wii U should have all those features if the other consoles do. As for the rest of your comment, I’m not going to say anything to that because I already told you awhile ago what happened when people kept saying those rude things. It almost forced me to leave this site. -.-

                              1. Features like YouTube, Netflix, Nintendo Network settings, Mii Maker, system settings, and some of my other games. :P

                                1. Youtube and Netflix are independent and can change the apps whenever possible. Settings however I would like to use other controllers and Mii Maker, I only used it a couple of times and that’s it so that’s no biggie for me.

              2. Have they said when the themes are coming out? Do you need a new 3ds to get one? The Link Between Worlds one looked pretty coo

                1. If I’m not mistaken, according to Nintendo Of Europe (NOE), we’ll be getting an update on October for them.

              3. My biggest concern is being able to transfer digital games I already have on my current 3DS to the new one. I know they did something between the DSi and the 3DS so I hope something will be available for this as well.

                1. There already is. You can transfer your account and everything on the sd card to the new 3ds. The transfer works like the wii to wii u if I’m not mistaken.

                  1. Yep. The Nintendo 3DS transfer software not only lets you transfer software from DSi to 3DS, but also has the ability to do 3DS to 3DS transfers. Furthermore, from what I’ve read, your registered friend codes and settings are all transferred too, meaning you don’t have to reenter account settings or reregister friends.

              4. Maybe I should get this? It’s a stupid idea on Nintendo’s part, fracturing the market, but my original aqua blue 3DS is falling apart, the rubber popped off the circle pad one day, the D-pad paint is chipping off, my touch screen is scratched to Hell (baby brother’s fault), the headphone jack is broken, and Nintendo’s design flaw of the bottom screen scratching the top screen only gets worse and worse. I would love a shiny new 3DS, but I don’t think I need one, even if a few exclusive games are coming to the new one.

                1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

Jesus Christ dude, what have you done to the poor thing to get it into that shape? It sounds as if it has gone to hell, my original 3DS does have a few chips in the paint here and there, and the touch screen is a bit scratched but it still works and looks good. Get the new one or at least a 3DS XL, it is alot more durable.

                  1. I did nothing except play games and draw on Colors! 3D o.o I loved and cared for it like all of my other consoles, but for some reason it is falling apart, haha, must have played a little too many hours of games.

                2. I’m sorry to say, but you do need a new one if it’s in such bad shape. I bought mine shortly after the ambassador program ended in the fall, and the only thing wrong is the left camera broke and displays everything in pink (due to a spill on tile flooring).

              5. I personally think people might be over reacting a bit. I under stand if just got a 3DS and that does suck. This is really nothing new, they’ve done it with the original gameboy, GBA, and DS. Hell I don’t remember people being mad about the dsi, and thats in similar area. It had Music player, camera, a shop channel(though it wasn’t great) and internet. For thoughs who who think nintendo is abandoning the 3ds crowd…please think for a sec. You think they are just going to drop over 40 million people over Zero so far? I understand its going to some exclusive games, but I doubt its going to huge number, most devs work fine with the the original design. Xenoblade is most likely on that version because the original 3ds can’t handle it, and it would be a bitch to control. Again they aren’t dropping any one, this is not like wii and wii u, where they just dropped support. They’ve already said they are supporting both. Its not like its a forceful upgrade you can last without it I’m sure, but miss maybe a few games. I’m also sure over time they will stop making the xl, but I don’t think they’ll reach the numbers of their current install base with N3DS. My thoughts are they should have done this at the beginning. And if u want the rest of my thoughts on it
                watch this guy’s video

                1. This invloves with virtually ANY and ALL kinds of technology from TVs to cars. And yet, what makes Nintendo a special case to hate on over this? Everybody’s an idiot and a hypocrite compalining over this and buy the same shit everywhere else.

              6. I’m definitely getting this because my XL is slowly showing its age after I bought it on release day… But my main concern is our local distributor who I hope will not overprice the new 3DS as when they release color variants.

              7. funny how people say it should had been like this at the beginning, the 3ds was $250 at the beginning, imagine how much it would had been with this model

                  1. More standard parts, more time passed so the price was already dropping, made on a larger scale so they got better deals, they sold it for a loss initially. And don’t say this would’ve been a similar loss price, it wouldn’t have. This tech is a much bigger advancement then people realize, especially the 3D. I just hope it has better cameras. I really hate the 3DS cameras and wish they would improve them, especially since I really like the AR stuff

                  2. Because the XL was just a bigger 3DS. The New 3DS has more RAM, head tracking, and a bunch of other new tech.

              8. Just watching for the SMW remix in the video!
Also, the customization option allows for other people – third parties like Nyko – to make custom shells (I.e. justice league, mega man, PAC man).

                  1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

Are you genuinely that fucking stupid puppet for brains? Xmas=Christmas

X as in cross as in what Jesus died on for idiots like you, what that doesn’t mean much to you, Jesus died for your sins, MLK fought to get your people freed from oppression, but that doesn’t mean fuck all for a Nigerian dog like you.

                      1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

Me the loser? You are a Nigerian dog who does not even know what xmas means, go suck on your fat Obianuju’s hairy tits and suck Samuels small cock you pathetic dead brained dick sucking black piece of shit.

                            1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

And stupid Sweden wants to do everything the US does because they are US fap addicts haha…

                              1. Yeah, looking up to the US isn’t a good idea. I suppose that they can definitely look very powerful and enviable from the outside, but they have tons of problems on the inside. It’s ironic though because in college all of the professors keep on telling us how much better Sweden is than us. You guys have a better health plan, a better school system, and the economy is higher priced, but safer. I guess the grass is always greener.

                              2. Not trying to be mean or anything, but you should really not bring countries into the discussion. There are people here that might take that stuff seriously and I don’t really feel like seeing another one of those boring government/politics arguments again. -.-

                          1. I love Xbox. :P I don’t own a 360 but I have the controller and I occasionally play with it and pretend that I own one… XD

                                  1. …You’re lucky that I consider you to be a friend. XP I was just about to go off on you until I saw your name. Lol.

                1. already another 3ds while the 2ds is like 10 months old. i already know 3ds fanboys will be this stuff since they think ” ohhhh it’s gonna be rare”.

                4. Lol, had my 3ds since 2011, I expected this and didn’t get an Xl. Definitely an early purchase for me, xenoblade chronicles on a handheld was something I was wanting for a long time. Sorry, if you bought your 3ds recently, but this was the same deal with the dsi and nobody freaked out as much. You don’t have to upgrade, They’ll probably still make quality games for 3ds as well. I feel it’s worth it in my situation, but I understand why everyone else is annoyed. And also, it isn’t nintendo’ fault you bought so many 3ds’.
