Here’s The Explanation Behind The Delay Of Project CARS On Wii U

Slightly Mad Studios creative director Andy Tudor has explained to Eurogamer the reason behind the delay of the Wii U version of Project CARS. Tudor says that the development team needs a little more time to get the Wii U version up to scratch, but said development of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are going well.

“We obviously delayed until 2015, and there were some passionate people who got in touch with us about that. There’s no conspiracy here – we announced the Wii U very early on in our development cycle, and some people think because we’ve been working on it a lot longer so it should be out now. The Xbox One version looks wicked, the PC version looks awesome, so does the PS4 version. It’s not our goal to rush the Wii U version and have it not look as good as the other ones.”

“The Nintendo fans we’ve got are crying out for a game like this. They don’t really have that experience currently, and there hasn’t really been anything like it on Wii previously. It’s not our job to disappoint those guys. So when we say the Wii U version is delayed in 2015 because we need a little more time, that’s all it is. We just want to make sure it’s of the same standard of all the other games. To do that, we just need a little more time. I’ve seen the Wii U version, I’ve seen it quite regularly. It’s got dynamic time of day, weather – it looks phenomenal. And the actual console itself is quite good.”

Thanks, Christopher

          1. Well now, the WiiU has the best and most varied controller array. From WiiU gamepad to pro controller, also the backward compatibilty up to gamecube controllers and the 3DS. PSN got hacked again last week. e-shop is still standing strong my sony friend. So it is your contribution that is irrelevant.

            F=ma.

              1. Hey! Namie, help me out here! :p I’m trying to decide whether to get a PS3 or get that white Destiny PS4. Or wondering if I should skip both and just save up for a PC?

                1. I’d say it all completely depends on what kinda games you’re into and what you want to play.
The PS3 has an amazing library and you can’t really do much wrong with it. Also, PS1 classics. But the thing is, you won’t get the best experience on it when playing newer games and you’ll miss out on new exclusives, like Uncharted for example, as well.
And between the PS4 and PC, well, the latter is obviously stronger, in terms of hardware, and many of the games the PS4 will have are going to be available on PC too. BUT the PS4 is going to get some really nice exclusives you can’t get anywhere else, so you should keep that in mind. It’s a cheaper, but still quite nice, alternative to a gaming PC, with its own advantages.
So in the end, it all depends on the games and about how much you care about power differences. (:
It sure is a tough decision, but I think I’d say go for the PC or PS4. The PS3 is going to keep getting cheaper quick, so you could always get it later too. Besides, Playstation Now will arrive soon and it’s going to give you access to many PS3 games, and who knows, maybe it will be good enough for you to not need to buy a PS3. d:
(If you do go for the PS4, I might get a little jealous because that white one sure looks damn nice. ;D)

                    1. Playstation Now, the streaming service they’re working on. It’s gonna let you stream PS3 games to your PS4, so you can play them without downloading, for a certain fee depending on how long you want it. It’s in the beta right now, gonna officially launch sometime this year.

                    2. For a fee!? Pfft! Well fuck that. I should have seen this coming, though. Nintendo truly is the better console maker when it comes to backwards compatibility.

                      1. Yep. And they are backwards in terms of what they are doing now as well, so that’s understandable. :p

                      2. If dropping the service means losing the games you are playing through the service, it’s not the same thing as virtual console. So unless we get to keep said PS3 games from the service when we drop it, it’s just a rental service. The fee better be as cheap as Gamefly or Netflix. Otherwise, Sony can take that service & shove it up their ass.

                      3. It is both a rental and a purchasing service, It’s up to you if you want to buy the game and keep it forever or just rent it for a certain period of time. You were complaining about having to pay for it in general though, you’re taking the argument somewhere else now. There is no reason for the games to be free, you’re obviously going to pay for them, no matter if you’re going to rent them or keep them.
Also, games =/= movies.Of course you’ll pay more for renting games than for movies or series. You don’t pay $60 when buying a movie either, do you ? Or vice versa, it’s like expecting games to be $15 just because that’s how much you pay for movies, which would be completely absurd. That Netflix argument is absolutely silly, sorry.
I believe it’s a nice thing and it’s definitely going to be of use for people, especially for those who didn’t own a PS3 before. And offering a renting option is a pretty nice thing for consumers too, as not being forced to spend $50-$60 to be able to play a game doesn’t sound bad at all, especially since many games nowadays can be played through within a couple of hours.

                      4. Well if I can permanently own them by paying a certain amount of money & don’t have to keep the service to keep the games, then that’s a totally different story. But if the rental price is too high, I’d rather just buy the game through the service. 60 dollars to rent as many PS3 games as I want in one month sounds good. But anything higher than that is just ridiculous.

                2. Its not shit, but its also not secure. Lulsec has gone on record saying that they have been able to bypass Ninty’s security they just do any harm because they like Nintendo.

            1. And this is coming from the one who uses the “I have two Wii U’s so I’m a bigger fan of Wii U than you are” as an excuse to make his comment relevant when its not. Fail.

              1. He got both because was banned for PS advertisements and the other was..again, PS advertisements except no ban involving that this time. Second Wii U was for another reason aside from “Hey look guys. I’m a Nintendo fan too. Love me and PS please”

                Sick.

                1. Sorry, but that’s bs. You’re spreading wrong information.
If Nintendo is scared enough of the phrase “I love PS” being enough advertisement to make their fans abandon their consoles and switch to Playstation, then that’s not Shuhei Yoshida’s fault, tbh.
Same goes for the 2nd time he got banned, which was for linking his Twitter account to his profile.
The reason he has 2 WiiU’s is because Nintendo still can’t get with the program and remove region locking from their consoles. He has a Japanese and an American WiiU.

                  1. Its called protecting your business and they’re merely regulating their territory of interests which is what most businesses does anyway. If some competitor were to come within my establishment, trying to ruin my business underhandedly like having a sign or shouting about their business saying anything related to the phrase “come to our store. We’re better than etc”, I get rid of them and tell to earn their share of competition properly. They’re a business of respect and you wouldn’t see them trying that same BS would you? Them going to buy their console just to say “Hey. MK8 is so much fun to play” in their territory which they in turn consider a business threat as well.

The 2nd ban was the same I got when I shared my FB profile. I didn’t see the rule enforced about that because of the Swapnote incident.

As for the region locking, tell those pirated bastards to stop hijacking their products and buy the shit since it doesn’t take much effort to make money to buy their games anyway. Piracy is what’s killing Nintendo’s income and as long as they keep hurting them, they’re also making them hurting us as consumers. You wanna blame someone over region locking? Blame pirates.

                    1. Because saying “I love PS” is going to ruin Nintendo and their business. It’s like Sony banning someone for putting “It’s-a me, Mario” in their PSN status, which would be absolutely absurd.
And weird that it’s only Nintendo who keep strictly region locking their consoles. The other two companies’ consoles could be victims of piracy just as well, but you don’t see them making loyal fans pay for the crap others do. In fact, the PSP was madly pirated, but Sony didn’t give a shit. Actually, it resulted in the PSP selling even better. So your argument doesn’t seem to convincing to me, honestly.

                      1. The “Its a me” catchphrase isn’t even considered a bsuiness threat because abyone can use it without compromise so this part is invalid to the argument. lol

The reasons Sony didn’t care for the PSP being pirated was because they’re a multimedia business where they can get money elsewhere. Nintendo survives solely on the games and consoles and from the looks of how Nintendo is being misjudged and denied of their sales over the whole “kiddy company” reputation BS, its no mystery why Nintendo doesnt take chances with piracy even if it only drived the demand of their games more which it goes both ways, either it does or doesn’t since you got so many hypocrites not buying their consiles for the their games but want to pirate the same games or wish Ninty goes 3rd party and make gamed elsewhere like the confused fucktards they are.

                      2. The “It’s-a me, Mario” catchphrase is very damn obviously a reference to Super Mario, Nintendo’s most famous video game series. Of course it’s no business threat, just like the phrase “I love PS” isn’t, in which the PS could stand for pretty much anything btw. If you want to be THAT precise, the Mario catchphrase would be considered more of a “threat” than the “I love PS”, as the former is an obvious Nintendo reference, whereas the latter could, as already mentioned, mean anything, really.
And I don’t see how being a multimedia business would have any influence on caring about one’s console being pirated or not. Either way, it has an impact on software sales for the company. Also, aren’t you people otherwise bragging about how rich Nintendo is and how they could survive another 50 years without even trying, and how they make more money than Sony ? So why is it, all of a sudden, relevant now that Nintendo is a video games-only company while Sony is not ? I simply can’t see any valid reason why Nintendo would deliberately keep forcing region lock onto people, other than wanting to sell even more hardware because people are forced to buy a Japanese console if they want to play quality JRPGs and other Japanese games that don’t get localized.

            2. Shut up Shuhei, I have both a Wii U and PS4. The Wii U is a great console, very nifty, great web browser, hitting 1080 p and best controller I have so far

              1. Hell no is not wiik u is weak
You must be out of your mind to say that shit
You just like baby games shit
And Nintendo if feeding you with your baby game shit

                1. Sorry, what I meant to say is…
                  PsWhore is weak PC
I masturbate in the corner while being butthurt after getting killed and think I accomplished something by playing interactive movies
                  I like playing baby games
Sony is feeding me with baby shit.

    1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

That’s it? What pathetic excuse is that “we took your money but your console got delayed”

At least put something in it that the PS/Xbox version does not have, at least buy us dinner after you have fucked us.

        1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

Better make good use of it then, you do not want to piss off Nintendo fans, they can get…unpleasant.

      1. If you want a rushed version then you’re crazy. The Wii U is significantly weaker than PC/PS4/XB1 so obviously they are going to have to work a little harder on it to make sure the gap in performance isn’t as noticeable. Sure they could just release it without optimizing it but then you’d be stuck with stuttering unplayable garbage like most other 3rd party Wii U games.

        1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

The problem is Wii U owners made up more of their funding on Kickstarter, if anything the Wii U version should have been their first priority.

          1. Wii U is slightly harder to develop for than the PS4 and Xbox One, Wii U uses custom hardware whilst the PS4 and Xbox One just use off the shelf PC parts.

            1. This indeed. They can port the PC version to PS4 and Xbox One, with modifications. They can’t do the same for the Wii U.

      2. Dude, at least its coming and at least these guys specifically are personally giving you reassurance that they’re working hard to make Wii U version as graphically/performance identical as the other versions. Unlike Ubisoft who have lied in your face more than several times over Wii U ports which are as poorly handled as PC versions of their games, these guys are buating their asses to make the Wii U port work. Because of X86, it was simple for them to port it over to other consoles and PC first which is the truth I accepted a while ago.

Relax yourself. If the Wii U port looks and run just as amazingly similar, it’ll be worth it in the end.

        1. Watch dogs is also coming! … Only the user ratings for that game are HORRIBLE. I honestly believe if we get a crappy port. It’s because there was no “good” version to begin with.

We’ll see! Hope you have your copy pre-ordered! ;D … JK.

          1. I rather be forcibly turned gay then buy that fucking game or anything from Ubishit after this year.

BTW, anyone got anything stupid about gays or me saying this (which I have no plan to become gay anyway), then hold yourselves right there and turn away from that PC screen because any cliche insults after this means nothing.

              1. Quit trying to get people that don’t want to to buy Ubishit’s games. Besides, Ubisoft won’t die off from a bunch of Nintendo fans that will finally tell the company to go fuck itself just like we’re telling EA to do now.

    2. Wanting the Wii U version to be at the same standard as the others is commendable. Supporting the delay for this reason is crucial for consumers seeing as how the Wii U received gimped titles in the past from other developers who felt the need for a full versions to be unnecessary. We don’t want developers to think we’ll accept sub par titles.

      1. Sensitive triggers being that useful? Its all another gimmick to make a now shitter version of 360 controller look “new”. Shoulder buttons have always worked on its own without improve needs.

        1. In a racing game yes they are, except for Mario Kart. In any other game they really don’t make any difference in my opinion, but in a racing simulator is not good to just put the pedal to the floor or not at all. Maybe they can use the right stick for this, I don’t know.

          1. To me, best way to play any racing game is utilize gas/brake pedals wisely, time/calculate your turns and keep your eyes on the roar. No trigger happy buttons required. Just your skills. Besides, using special handicap when you don’t need it is pathetic. lol

            1. What Stranga meant to say was: “Totally agree. Sensitive triggers are an absolute must have in any racing game. It just doesn’t feel right without them.” Lol.

              1. Actually, what I meant to say was 1. WTF cares? We’ve played racing games without these without a problem before and 2. WTF is this random nobody calling himself a “somebody” like if this “somebody” ever had an identity. lol

    3. “The Xbox One version looks wicked” I would have liked if he said the PS4 version was this. He only said this about the mighty PS4 : ” PC version looks awesome, so does the PS4 version.” If you are smart you shall see microsoft money hatting in this.

      F=ma.

          1. No. Xbox is and always meant to be a very pointless, low budget PC wannabe box that built like shit when it breaks down after a matter of days to months of purchase. It has absolutely no exclusives (Don’t even say Halo and Gears because they’re on PC too which means its no longer an exclusive) and all games on that system is also on another system that provides a way better value and performance. So again, why should Xbox exist when PC already does the same thing but vastly superior performance, features and has the same online experience for FREE? Why you think investors are telling Microsoft to ditch Xbox brand and why you think they’re losing profit over it for the past 13 years? Before you say anything about Xbox making money which is false, check out the console sale statistics of Xbox, PS and Nintendo and guess who’s the ONLY company/brand that makes more profit out of the 3 over the years of gaming? Nintendo.

            1. Xbox should not die. I think the Xbox 3 60 is great and I think the One looks cool as well. And people aren’t rich. I can’t even afford a gaming PC so the Xbox is a substitute for people that don’t like PlayStation. I know plenty of people that like Xbox and it would definitely piss off a ton of people if the Xbox brand died.

              1. A Red Ring box with Paywall and $60 charge on free online while you also have a combustible DRV with DRM that’s twice the size of a cinderblock which both consoles have killed my two favorite series: Banjo and Conker and killed the old Rare while offering no exclusives plus it mostly played by sausage fest loving douchebags and delinquent kids/teens with damaged parents who only buy the damn thing to make temporary friends to look cool just for instant gratification for themselves and not for properly fun games they paid their money on those boxes for. Nope. Not are even close to being a good console of choice to me.

          2. Xbox is never going to be owned by anyone but Microsoft so the console should die. The sooner Microsoft gets their filthy monopolizing asses out of the industry, the better!

    4. “It’s got dynamic time of day, weather – it looks phenomenal. And the actual console itself is quite good.”

That is all I needed to hear, the delay shall make us save money as well. Nintendo fans this is a miracle and a God given blessing. The WiiU is getting a rush of games with regular releases now, money saved, is future money well spent.

            1. Yes, for time exclusivity. Why would they pay to screw over Nintendo but not their main (PS) competition?

Some of you guys are on some conspiracy bullshit XD

              1. Bow down to Big God Stapler fake GOD! You have no right to speak for you have been conquered by yours truly! Your opinion is no longer valid for all of you are my pathetic subjects! Bow to me!

              2. It’s not conspiracy, it’s business 101. Competeing business are always looking for stategic advantages against thier competition. The way that Microsoft bought Rare and ran them into the ground.

                1. How could they run rare to the ground when it was already going to the shitter? Nintendo had first dibs on buying Rare but they pass on it. Stop these stupid conspiracies, they make us all look bad.

              3. Because Nintendo is the only ones Microsoft can screw over this generation. With the PS4 having the same internal build as the Xbox One, there is no way 3rd parties are going to pass up the easy money of porting between the two home consoles. And Microsoft doesn’t have enough money to deter 3rd parties from supporting Sony. Not to mention most big name 3rd parties are Japanese, so they aren’t going to screw over their fellow countrymen at Sony to help an American company. Only the non Japanese 3rd parties would suck up to Microsoft, like EA.

Rayman Legends for Wii U: delayed once it was going to be on the Xbox One & PS4, and it didn’t come out til 2 months after the other versions.

Watch_Dogs: only the Wii U port is delayed.

Project CARS for Wii U: another Wii U exclusive that went multiplatform and is getting delayed while the Xbox One & PS4 versions come out first.

I’d put Resident Evil: Revelations 2 on this list, but with the New 3DS coming, I’m actually hoping Capcom hasn’t fully given Nintendo fans that love Resident Evil the middle finger.

    5. At least someone is doing a good job in the PR department. Comments like these are welcome and soothing. I’ll be supporting them.

        1. Saying we dont buy mature games or anything they give us. No. We don’t buy gimps, intentionally delayed ports or any of their boring party game crap. We were gonna buy Watchdogs if on time. We were gonna buy Rayman for Wii U launch..on time. And they give us nothing.

    6. I also belive the delay for wii is becuase of the resources needed to finish the game for the other consoles….so they slowed down the work on wii u version to finish the others

      1. Also, while the PS4 and the XBOne use off-the-shelf PC ware (which was the same approach Atari and the other system makers used prior to the 80’s crash, FYI), The Wii U uses Mac technology, which delivers a more stable experience, and smoother visuals, if you think about it. So the Wii U isn’t being delayed so much as it is being optimized. It’s no secret that the Wii U currently has the best resolution and framerate of the other systems, with the XB1 clocking in at an average of 720/30-60, and the PS4 measuring in at 900/60. Nintendo CAN deliver compared to the competition for a normal console generation, and they continue to prove it. SMS knows this, and that’s why they will continue to develop for the Big N.

    7. admit it… you just know that we’re all playing mario kart 8 and waiting for super smash. so you’re afraid of low sells.

    8. This is what I’m talking about. This is the proper reassurance all 3rd parties should use and follow to ensure support. But no. All I hear is one dumbass excuse after another which doesn’t make any sense if you thoroughly look at their track record and the support all around.

These guys are doing the right thing to tell the Nintendo fans what’s really going on with their development and explain why the delay is happening. This is unlike the BS Watchdogs Wii U delay which would probably turn out to be one huge lie either delayed for some other reason besides using the Gamepad for hacking /mapping nonsesne or that the port never existed until after the other versions were done.

I’m still buying this game as prove that I understand their dedication for Nintendo fans and they’re gonna need it to continue supporting Nintendo for future games.

Jackasses like Ubishit/EA who lied through their teeth about us and their half ass games for us, they don’t deserve shit.

      1. Your just butthurt
Because you can’t play third parties matured games you stocked with your babies games shit
Shut your mouth and have that seat

        1. My mistake,
          I’m just butthurt
Because I can’t get Nintendo games
So I call them baby games even though I said I wanted to play them on my Ps4
          Stocked up with my bullshit
I shut my mouth and have a seat for mommy grounded me.

        2. And this accomplishes what exactly? XD You’re not even trying to troll me at best or worst. lol You keep rehashing the same shit repeatedly, even more than EA Sports and COD games combined.

    9. This is one game I will be buying. I wish it wasn’t delayed, but at this stage just getting it on the Wii U at all will be a victory

    10. F=ma. We want it to support every controller up-to the gamecube in retrospect. 4 player local co-op. Five players with the Gamepad. four player online on one console.

    12. If they don’t release the versions simultaneously, it means they are bad at distributing the work. If it’s more difficult to do the Wii U version, of course they should have spent more time on that compared to other versions. Stupid excuses. Least they could do is to say they’re sorry they misplanned their work.

      1. It’s more difficult than that. For all you know the Wii U fell behind due to the hardware being weaker than the Xbox One and PS4 and it was IMPOSSIBLE to catch back up even with them distributing more workers on the Wii U version. (They only have so many workers to shift around, they can’t hire more workers JUST so the Wii U version is released at the same time. Releasing all versions at the same time is the least of their concerns. They just want to finish the games!!!)

You don’t know the whole story, so instead of coming out and attacking the developer (Who is the one making the game for Wii U and certainly doesn’t HAVE to make it for the Wii U) you should take their word for it, be positive and be GRATEFUL that it’s even coming at all…

        1. Its not weaker if the most complaint is the architecture. The hardware weakness and specific engine compatibility was lied about so many times. Remember Bethseda being exposed? What about EA after their engines on Wii U was tested and deemed operational?

Weakness had nothing to do with it. Developers are looking for an easy way out to push too many game and generate as much quick cash as possible regardless of how repetitive or shitty designed games are.

          1. Don’t forget Bethseda is hypocritical as well.
They said they never make games for a console that they were never consulted about with its hardware. Thing was Sony did the same thing one generation ago with the Cell processor for Ps3, they still made Elder Scrolls game for it even when they were never consulted about the hardware, ever…

            1. Of course they’re fucking hypocrites. They can’t design one fucking game that’s glitch free right out of the door in their entire career. I wouldn’t want their shit on my console either no matter how “interesting” it looks which is just a bait to get suckers cheated out of their money to find out their bought an incomplete product, very much what EA does for every video game they touch for the past 5-7 years.

      1. What is the point of getting mad at all the third party developers? All you are doing is driving them away. What will you say when not a single one is developing for the Wii U?

They don’t give a shit and you’ll be left in the dust wondering what you can do to get them back and there won’t be anything you can do.

      2. The Wii U is weaker than PS4, Xbox One, and PC so it takes a longer time. These developers are actually trying to give this game a chance on Wii U. Would you have preferred if they didn’t put it at all? Like pink said, all you’re doing is driving them away. They could’ve just given you a simple port with no unique features at all. Blame Nintendo for not making the Wii U easy to port to. Not just the third parties.

          1. Xbox One is like twice as powerful than Wii U. And there aren’t many 1080P third party games on Wii U so that isn’t really helping your argument. It’s exclusives are sometimes 60fps, but there aren’t many things going on in the Wii U games as opposed to a game like say Battlefield 4. Wii U probably wouldn’t look any better than the PS3 version.

            1. If so powerful, why its games look like shit at launch or barely changed from 360 counterparts (Forza)? You saying PS3 > Wii U is like ripping out of the yellow pages of troll comments. lol I heard about it a lot and as proven, Wii U > PS3 if these developers stop being lazy at making ports.

And BF4 on Wii U wouldn’t run, look nor feel any different than the others. Its a POS game rushed by EA’s greedy ass intentions to compete that other POS COD Ghosts which is just as worse.

              1. That doesn’t change the fact that the Wii U is weaker. And Forza isn’t the most graphically demanding game on the system yet. When February comes, I really do dare you to compare The Witcher 3 to anything on the Wii U. XD

                1. Okay, if Wii U can pull off Native 720p-1080p at 60FPS while Xbox One could with its hiccups and sacrificial decisions as every last X1 game has done, then there’s something wrong with the Xbox itself and evidence? It explodes and Kinect (pointless camera) actually chokes up some of its performance and for what? Another lame ass Kinect Sports (Wii Sports ripoff)?

And how does comparing The Witcher 3, a non Nintendo game not for the system, to any of Wii U’s game make any sense? That’s like comparing the latest 20″ PC monitor to an iPad. Its not the same thing to be qualified for comparison. You certainly have the mind of a fanboy thinking illogically like that. XD

                  1. But will the Wii U run The Witcher 3 at native 720P or 1080P? Lol I was comparing it because you said Wii does 60FPS and “top notch resolution” but that’s only been seen in the exclusive games. I’ve yet to see a third party game that’s also on other systems go past 720P. I’m not trying to bash the Wii U, I’m just trying to tell you that it isn’t as powerful as the competition. Not even X1. PS3 and 360 got Witcher 3 but they probably aren’t even anywhere near 720P. Lol!

                    1. On PS4, that’ll work. On Xbox One? It needs an excuse to run it like a drop in resolution and some in game details. Oops. Too soon for that bombshell? XD And again, you’re bringing up irrelevant points of Witcher 3 running on Wii U when the game is not coming to be discussed for comparison like I already said. lol

                      1. Stranga, I want to ask you a question. Have you ever actually played the Xbox One? I’ve been to Gamestop and Forza looks NOTHING like 360. I’m serious! It’s like I got a new set of eyes! XD And don’t play the irrelevant card on me, that’s unfair! Lol. The most graphical PS4 and XB1 games aren’t on the Wii U so I really can’t compare them. The only games I can compare are the 360 ports and then you’ll say that they don’t really look much worse on Wii U. So I don’t want to do that. Lol. I wish a super graphically good looking game like MGSV or Witcher 3 would come to Wii U so I could prove you wrong, but I suppose you win this round… XP

                        1. Yes and tried Forza with its 90s arcade cardboard audience details..eww. XD Its basically looks and plays the same way as 360 except the new controller feels crappier and still using replaceable AA battery packs for a 2013 game controller. lol

Of course I’m right that you can’t compare jack at the moment until Project Cars comes and you also missed ASSassin’s Greed 4 being on all platforms for you to test your theory on me. XD But that’s one game I don’t care and would be biased. Project Cars is your only bet to “try” to “prove” me wrong. XD

                          1. Ok. If the Wii U version of Project Cars isn’t 60FPS or higher resolution than than the Xbox One version, then I proved you wrong. Lol. And I already knew about Assassin’s Creed 4 but I didn’t compare it because I know you’d say something hateful about it. And well, every time you do that, I die a little inside. Lol. I would insult some of the games you play in return, but you mainly play Nintendo games that I like too and I’m not going to insult those. That isn’t fucking fair. XD

                            1. And what if the game does look similar and runs at 60FPS fluidly? :3

Its not that I hate the game. But it wouldn’t make sense to compare Wii U version when PS3/360 gets one too and chances are that those port looks more similar than PS4/X1. How you die inside again if I talk about AC? XD You shouldn’t be too emotionally attached to things like video games. You can make fun of anything I like. IDGAF. XD

                              1. If the game runs better than the Xbone then you prove me wrong. If it runs similar or worse, then no. You said the Xbone can’t run games without blowing up so if the Wii U version is worse, then you owe that Xbox a huge apology. XD And I would have been insulted something that you like, bu every time you argue, you’re mean as shit saying horrible insults and personally attacking people instead of the video games themselves. And well… I don’t want anything to do with that. And besides, I have still not recovered from those huge ass arguments I had with people on this website a few weeks ago and just a few more might just make me leave this damn site. Lol.

                                1. But its not about the hardware doing the job. Its how the software is built and optimized for the hardware. Once again, you’re thinking that power is that matters and can handle anything. It can’t fix its own problems or build its own software can it? No. You need professionals to handle both aspect for them to work together. Like I said, power doesn’t mean shit, period.

Now how will the Wii U version look and run is depending on how much work these devs put into the port, not the system itself u less it has its own reading or rendering problems which isn’t the case.

I’m never nasty or mean to you but when you speak of something you missed or don’t make sense, I will speak up and not afraid of speaking my mind. But I do not intentionally insult people unless they’re so extreme with themselves of their ego, then I will throw in a comment or two.

As for the 3rd party on Nintendo thing, you really need to read this article: http://playeressence.com/nintendo-is-3rd-party-publishers-worst-nightmare-diego-arias/ Everything written here makes perfect sense and its exactly what I’ve been saying for a long time.

                                  1. Yes you do. Lol. Every time I talk about stuff I don’t like about Wii U or talking about third party, you always say stuff like I am a blind sheep for ASSassin’s GREED and that you are sick of hypocrites. I always ignore those comments, but it’s starting to build up on me. Even when you are joking I still like Assassin’s Creed and I do find it insulting. In fact, I like pretty much most of Ubisoft’s games, but I can never talk about how I like them here since so many people hate them and might end up attacking me so I just refrain from talking about it. :(

                                    1. No. Its when you’re talking Nintendo doing something “shady” or greedy or even stupid that the same company you spend money on for their products thus supporting the same and worse kind of BS they’re doing, that makes you a hypocrite. I don’t ignore some of the strange shit Nintendo does or has done and sometimes they have a good reason why they do what they do behind it and its not about being money hungry, not even one time they ever thought of that. You could complain about Nintendo being greedy with updating their portable systems and making a few exclusives for it when there’s other versions to buy right now and yet, ya waste hundreds of dollars on a faulty Xbox 360 or One consoles without a much of a peep so that you have to wait for an updated/fixed model that should’ve been done on day one or buying smartphones and tablets every year, same goes for certain spammy games like COD and ASSassin’s Creed. That’s what I mean about my conversations to you.

                                      1. Assassin’s Creed has nothing to do with Nintendo hardware. It’s a game and if I like it, I’m going to play it no matter what anyone here has to say about it. If you guys can play Mario games every year, then why bash Assassin’s Creed for being yearly? If it’s not your type of game, then just don’t play it. You don’t hear me making fun of Mario games all the time. And I said this before and I’ll say it again. If I criticize Nintendo for doing something, that does not mean I am giving the other companies a free pass. I already know what they do, but it is irrelevant because I’m talking about Nintendo and SPECIFICALLY Nintendo. I don’t care if 300 Xboxes blew up right in front of me. That will still never change the issues I have with the Wii U. Now if you go to an Xbox blog or something, then by all means, please feel free to tell me how the Xbox burns down houses and whatnot. But in the meantime on Mynintendonews.com, it is irrelevant. I could go on and on about the issues with PS3 and 360, but does anybody here really care? Of course not. So I will continue to criticize Nintendo whenever I feel it is needed that they need to learn. I am a consumer after all, so I can voice any displeasure I get from their product and they are supposed to listen to it. And improve upon it.

                                        1. You’re saying that Nintendo spams Mario games every year which is entirely false. Yet again, you failed to do your homework and as a Nintendo fan such as yourself, that’s just sad. Whatever Mario title you’re talking about is dependent because Mario has a wide range of different spin offs with different gameplay sets that comes every two, even as far as 5-7 years in between titles and systems of its branch.

XD You speak of me talking about Xbox in a Nintendo blog being “irrelevant” when Sickr is posting mostly non-Nintendo news every single day and week. This place and people are already irrelevant the second Sickr or whoever created this blog. lol

                                          1. I KNOW MARIO HAS SPIN-OFFS. >_< But even THOSE are repeating themselves! We are on Mario Party 10 and Mario Kart 8 for gods sake! XD The different type of gameplay excuse is invalid because those play similar to each other just like NSMB games do. Whatever happened to the time when there WEREN'T copy /pastes and just innovative 3D games like 64 and Galaxy? After like over 15 years, why do people still say that old Majora's Mask is the best Zelda game ever? This PROOVES that they were better in the past. People are even begging them just to remake the game because they're disappointed with what they're doing now!

                                            1. At first you’re saying Mario spams every year but fail to mention which specific game series that does that. Not even one of them spams itself every year. As for the gameplay change or enhancements, you overlooked that Mario Kart has significantly change its core gameplay with every release except for Super Circuit which is almost exactly like Super Mario Kart on SNES with new tracks. BTW, have you ever heard of the old saying “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? You can improve upon it or change it but not too much. XD

The reason fans want Majora’s Mask was because of OoT on 3DS. It rekindled the fan’s interests for old games again. This is where VC comes in but it seems they want Majora’s Mask in HD or something. Not sure what they want exactly or what Nintendo is gonna do but we need games that are refreshing I agree with.

                              2. I wouldn’t even call the Xbox One 2x as powerful as the Wii U cause so much of its power is being wasted on running 3 OSes off the main chips. Wii U runs its OS off of the ARM chip and not the main one. It has allot more to do with x86 vs. PowerPC argument. They just don’t have enough coders on it or feel like they can’t have a big enough team on the PPC version, so it got delayed. (Which I have heard this before as a possible reason so many games are thinking twice about the Wii U).

The other reason it may have been delayed is they want to included GC controllers support out the box cause of the analog shoulder buttons.

Its still unfortunate cause the way they got a lot of money off the kickstarter was to offer up the Wii U build for funding. Its way many people are really upset. I know if I actually contributed money, I would feel like I got cheated if the version I funded was the ONLY version being delayed.

PS to everyone arguing resolution, that is probably not the best way to gauge how powerful a system is. There are many other factors that gauge the power (i.e. Textures, Polygons, shaders and effects, etc).

                          2. Yes, it is a poor excuse, and I cannot understand so many people on here saying it’s ok.

There should be no delays, period. No excuses. Unless of course they are going to delay all versions at the same time. I knew Kickstarter was going to be abused, it was just a matter of time. So this “slightly mad studio” told the nintendo fanbase they were going to make a racing game for the Wii U. But they needed start up money. So they got the start up money, and began making the game. For the Wii U and P.C. The game was showing so much promise it garnished attention from a bigger developer, which fully funded the rest of the game. Now, next thing we know is that it’s gonna be delayed on the very system the fans supported it to be made on! It’s complete bullshit, and a big middle finger to all us fans who supported this game. I will never trust another kickstarter campaign.

For you guys that don’t think money is involved your nuts. Money was givin to Slightly Mad Studios to fully fund this game on the condition they focus on Xbox One and PS4 version first. Thats why this game is delayed, and thats the only reason.

                            1. Even if that’s true, who cares? They got money for ONLY the Xbox One and PS4 versions, you think they’d be dub enough to turn that money down?

I’m just glad they are sticking ewith the Wii U when so many other companies have jumped ship. That in itself makes buying the game worthwhile. You’d have to be a moron to boycott one of the last 3rd party, mature games that will ever come to the Wii U…

Support Project Cars and hope it sells well.

                                1. Kick starters are always full of bull. Must of those backers never get what they have been promised, at least now you’ve learned first hand.

                          3. I totally believe and respect Slightly Mad Studio. Take your time guys. I’m in no rush to receive yet ANOTHER gimped 3rd party port. I would rather it come complete.

I’m super excited for Project CARS, because the game looks beautiful. It will be a must have on the Wii U.

                          4. If they do make this game as good as the others we need to support it to show that if you make the game on par with the others we will buy it.

                            1. But thats the problem. It’s going to come after the Ps4 and Xbox version. The Hype will be gone, the reviews and lets plays will be all over the internet. Nobody is gonna buy the Wii U version unless it releases the same time as the others. Just like watch dogs. Project Cars will be lucky to sell 100 thousand copies, and then everybodys gonna be like, see I told you mature games dont sale on the Wii U! Its a vicious circle these 3rd party studios are in with late ports and delayed games on Wii U.

                              1. I’ll buy this for the WiiU even if it is released in 2 years. Thanks Slightly Mad Studio for the effort and love you give to our console! Keep on the good work!

                          5. Lmao. Yea thx Mad Studios for putting Xbox version ahead of our version. Thank you for taking our money then putting us on the back burner. Thank you soooo much for that.. pffts * cough ubisoft*

                          6. It better do the same thing Rayman Legends did: sell the best on the Wii U. If it doesn’t, I don’t have much hope in a possible sequel coming to future Nintendo consoles if the Slightly Mad Studios decides to sell out.
