And having the Z/grab on the left side is going to be a little annoying, but it certainly shouldn’t be a deal breaker. And I know Wii U version is superior and I will be enjoying but I also know I will playing the 3ds version WAY more than the Wii U obviously because its available on a handheld for my play at anytime. I own a regular 3ds so its not the most comfortable thing ever (and XL is better but still little awkward grip) but the circle pad pro makes it easier to play with grip and extra shoulder buttons. And I would rather use another pad for quick smash along with z to charge smash then the circle pad and a button. But I found a solution and I will have to use circle pad and a button for smash attacks. Sakurai better have custom button configuration though.
And this is why Nintendo will always see and treat their consumers as clowns.

The Wii U hasn’t been the success that it could’ve been had Nintendo gone with something more innovative (or better power), but it’s far from being a big enough failure for Nintendo to stop making consoles.
I reserve my opinion of Nintendo exiting the console business for after this Christmas Holiday. Nintendo and Microsoft both have to come up with some solid sales this holiday, and Nintendo is far more primed for that move since they’ve got the games and toys to back it up.

Also Lost Worlds for 3Ds had better gameplay than Wii U. Sells result, the game with the better gameplay sold better. Today i realize that every console of this gen has many problems. ps4 IS struggling greatly in Japan. nintendo keeps on making stupid mistakes like this one, and Microsoft is considered the devil and has No worthwhile exclusives. Well to be fair, Nintendo gives Japan priority, PS4 has a strong install base in the US, which is where a LOT of gamers are at. Xbox gets dlc early, which is great instead of waiting for getting dlc on other platforms (ps4)

Amiibo reader and CPP cannot work at the same time, and Nintendo really want to push Amiibos and utilizing them more in Smash Bros. However, both Amiibo reader and CPP need to use the IR port on original 3DS, and only one can work at the same time, so… Amiibo reader get the preference here, I guess.

Seems kinda pointless to leave this peripheral out. I think I’ve only got one game that supports it, so I haven’t bothered to buy one, but it’s kinda proving to be kinda useless to buy one anyways. I’m glad the new model will be supported, but we don’t even have a release date for it in the States or Europe yet which leads me to believe it’s a ways off. So until sometime next year those of us that buy it for 3DS have to go without it. If I remember right, the c-stick was used for some special moves? I really can’t remember, it’s been a while since I’ve played a Smash game cos very few of my friends want to play with me, it’s always Mario Kart, haha.

I certainly hope you know that you know that you don’t need to buy every amiibo, nor do you need to buy a 3ds if you are going to buy a new 3ds or a amiibo adapter. Really the only things here that you need to play the wii u version and the 3ds version is a new 3ds, wii u, and a copy of both games. And that’s if you want both versions. And you can’t exactly complain about buying new controllers, as that is the case with EVERY local multiplayer game in existence. Really you are just complaining because nintendo is offering more options, which is really stupid if you think about it.

Its most likely compatible with all controllers you can think of. Wii Remote alone or with Nunchuk, classic or pro controller from Wii, Wii U Pro Controller, Gamepad and the glorious return of the GameCube controller. :)
Wow. Even news like these from Nintendo just screams “bullshit” to me. Old 3DS adapters are not gonna be too happy about this or the new 3DS models coming which only enrages them more.
This is some real shit Nintendo. This is clearly a ploy to get everyone to buy your new 3ds. Why would the old 3ds not support CPP when the technology is clearly there for the already programmed inputs of the new 3ds? Lost a whole lot of respect from me.
I hate to be that guy but some of you are acting like you’re FORCED to get the New 3DS. You don’t NEED to upgrade. Just like you 3DS only users aren’t forced to buy the Wii U just to experience “better” games.
Besides, it’ll be 3-4 months before the start of the 3DS’s 4th year out on sale in Japan, so it’s not like the New 3DS is coming when it’s only been 1 or 2 years into the console’s life.
Just think of the New 3DS as a new handheld altogether, with a name similar to it’s predecessor like how Wii U is to Wii. This release is just shy of the 3DS’s 5th year, after all, which is the usual life span of consoles these days. With that said, I hope Nintendo is going to cease production of the old 3DS when they release it outside of Japan. Then again, thinking of the New 3DS as a new handheld altogether might not help matters, since people will then just bitch & whine about how this new console came out “too soon.”
Now excuse me while I go get some popcorn, so I can enjoy the entertainment that might be heading my way.

This site is going to shit. Everyone feeds the trolls and then rages when those trolls keep coming back. The racism and insults are fucking disgusting. Ignoring him would be more effective, he would’ve left forever ago if people weren’t so intrigued by him. You guys make memes and stalk his YT, that’s free promo for the guy.
To the one guy who’s half the comments and trying to overly justify his decision to purchase a Wii U- I bought one day 1 too man, and I just bought a XL, but C-sticking was never needed in Smash. I never use it, always thought it was cheap yet I still win most games. The reason people are pissed is because they bought a peripheral that has no real reason not to work with this game (except maybe the IR amiibo sensor slated for release early next year), and were told a more expensive version of the console they just bought WILL control the way this accessory SHOULD let them. Since you prefer to liken the situation to cars; it’s not that they’re mad because your 2015 model has satellite radio- they’re mad because the satellite radio they paid for and had installed on their 2014 model was JUST announced to not play the satellite radio station they want to hear. Even though both are satellite radios, that specific station ONLY plays on the radio you get through buying the 2015 car. A whole new car- but, to make it worse, that car is only available overseas. This affects them though because now Japan can play against them with a control scheme they don’t have available.
To everyone else; how many of you actually C-Stick? You shouldn’t be this mad unless it’s the only way you like to play, and if it is try to go play Brawl or Melee and don’t c-stick at all. You can do it. You might even find it’s more fun without insta-smash attacks. I’m sorry you guys can’t play how you wan’t but if you’re that in to Smash you should try to get the Wii U version as you’ll probably enjoy it more. If you can’t get a Wii U & Smash4WiiU yeah it sucks, but at least we’re getting a handheld version.

How many games can actually use circlepad pro? Less or more than 10? Games i know are Monster Hunter 3, Resident Evil Revelations and MGS3; Snake Eater 3D.
