Nintendo has released a new patch for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS in Japan. The fighting title’s update version 1.0.2 fixes the Peach-related glitch that surfaced earlier this week, which resulted in a number of accidental bans placed on users of the pink-garbed princess for using her vegetable-plucking ability in the For Glory online mode. Nintendo recently apologized to those who were mistakenly banned. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS arrives in North America and Europe on October 3rd. Its demo will be available later today, September 19, through the Nintendo eShop.

yah… I’m kinda glad that players are exposing these glitches, cuz usually the first region to get a game are the real video game testers, that way when the other regions get it… the game is all good and ready to go (with a launch patch)!

What you’re asking for is almost impossible. The more complex a game gets, the more bugs there will inevitably be. If it never comes up it will go unnoticed.
Totally agree and the fact is SSB 4 is one complex game, but the bug was not cause for something complex, it was for something that should have been obvius if they would have tested the “for glory mode” properly.
So, I agree with both of you, bug are most likely to happen, but bugs like this should have not happen in the first place.
Except there wasn’t an auto-ban system in place during development; there was no reason to have it since it has nothing to do with the game’s actual development. The ban system didn’t go up until the matchmaking went up, so there wasn’t a chance to test such an obscure accident.

Depends on some people… when you’re busy or having fun, two weeks won’t feel long. In the case of Pokemon or Smash… avoid saving in that area or using Peach for glory mode.
