Respected tech analysis site Digital Foundry has spent some quality time with the Wii U version of Bayonetta which originally appeared on the Xbox 360 and also the PlayStation 3. The publication says that while Bayonetta 2 has some technical problems, the original Bayonetta is one of the best ports available on the Wii U. Here’s what they had to say about the Wii U version of the game.
“In general, the visuals between 360 and Wii U are very close, but we did run across one minor difference. Light bloom is used extensively on Xbox 360 and this appears to have been slightly pared back on Wii U. You can observe the difference in the sky just outside the train station where the effect is much stronger on 360. In addition, white levels are clipped on Xbox 360 at points leading to an over-exposed look in certain cases. In some sequences this does give the impression of punchier, higher contrast visuals on Xbox 360 but it’s ultimately not something that stands out throughout a run of play.”
“On the flip-side, shadow quality sees a nice boost on Wii U. The hard-edged, chunky shadows present in the original versions look much cleaner on Wii U. While the resolution isn’t noticeably increased, the shadows now appear much softer and less harsh. Water reflections are also subtly different on Wii U with reflections appearing much stronger than the 360’s showing.”
“Taking the spread of games released by Platinum into account, it could be argued that the Wii U version of the original Bayonetta is the fastest-performing console game released by the studio to date, and in that sense it’s a bit disappointing that the sequel fails to match the performance level set by its predecessor. While the massive increase in set-piece complexity in Bayonetta 2 is certainly exciting, it definitely comes at a cost. In that sense it almost feels like the original Bayonetta is the more finely tuned experience.”
“Alongside the likes of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Bayonetta stands out as one of the best ports available on the Wii U. It’s clear that a lot of time and effort was poured into this release in order to preserve and in places improve upon the original experience. While it’s not dramatically superior to the original Xbox 360 version, we’d have to give it the nod as the definitive version of the game. The elimination of screen-tear, faster loading, and solid performance levels make a huge difference. Whether you’ve played the original release or not, this is a great way to experience Bayonetta. The fact that it comes packed in with most versions of Bayonetta 2 makes it one heck of a bonus.”

To the point: Watchdogs is just a punchless GTA with hacking that’s not thoroughly hacking at all. Just one button action at certain places.
The game was hyped up too much, but that doesn’t make it a terrible game. It might not be as good as Bayonetta and it has flaws like the driving you just said, but there are far worse games. Watch Dogs is alright at best. It’s not super amazing like it was hyped up to be, but it’s not as bad as you are making it sounds. It’s probably not worth $60, but it’s still somewhat decent. I was gonna get it day one but they lied about the graphics which was a huge letdown considering I wanted to buy a gaming PC just for THAT game. But I don’t know what happened. Hope Watch Dogs 2 gets it right.

Dude, totally right, HW needs to get that online multiplayer added in. I hope they make it in a patch. Maybe Nintendo didn’t want to pay for that online at the same time they added MK8 and Smash, but if they really do have such a problem with it, they can charge us a subscription like everyone else, just make it cheaper or provide some VC games or discounts with it. They won’t lose much in sales and they’ll probably make more off the online payments. Even if it’s a game specific charge, like the Pokemon Bank charges, that’s fine. Yeah, it’s a great move! That way it gives options to those that want the gore and those that don’t. I believe that the DC vs Mortal Kombat game did something similar or it was another one of those titles. I doubt that it’s very hard to implement and it’s a good business strategy. Aside from that, I do think the gameplay in Bayonetta is amazing. I love fast paced games like that where you just charge into the opposing armies!

Off topic but I just re watched the GTA V trailer again and I can’t stop hyping it. I played it on PS3 but at that time it wasn’t my own game so I never fully experienced it. It’s just amazing. Honestly, it depends. If you haven’t played a Warrior’s game, it’ll either be a hit or miss. You’ll really love it or just get bored with it. Bayonetta 2 from what I’ve seen looks promising, and if you can only get one or the other, go for that one. I’ve played DW5 though, and I can play that game all day every day ALL NIGHT LONG. HW will probably have me doing the same. I’m going for HW first since it has way more replay value to me, but if you enjoy the story of Bayonetta and feel like you’ll replay those, then that’s fine too. As for online,that either be hit and miss too. It looks fun but I’m probably gonna be tired of it after awhile. Anyways, my choice to you: Bayo 2. Your pick though. :3

If you’re talking about upcoming games, yeah there are. I’d personally save for games I want more. Smash is the only thing I really want though so I can wait until next year. I’m fine with the Mario Kart 8 DLC about to come anyways. If I blow all my money on Nintendo games, I won’t be able to get another platform, and that’s not worth it.

Most Wanted 2012 actually does suck. It really, really sucks. When compared to the original, anyway! xD The original actually had a damn story & made the original feel like a story driven adventure game since you can actually explore the city to find your next race. I like the remake but it fucking sucks when I think back on the original.
And not just the missing story but the damn songs were also a lot better. The game really should have used the SD slot of the Wii U to allow you to listen to your own songs. Oh & there were more Most Wanted people to race, as well.
Maybe these factors is the reason why I haven’t really played Most Wanted U much since I first bought it last year.
