This week’s UK charts are now in courtesy of GFK Chart-Track. Super Smash Bros for 3DS takes its debut leap into the individual charts and, while it doesn’t come out with a victory, it does face stiff competition from FIFA 15 and Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Unfortunately, the brawler title can’t quite knock either of those games into oblivion, but it does manage to creep above three multi-platform titles for a top 10 position, landing at 7 as its debut.
With such tough new competition and multi-platform titles, Tomodachi Life slips to 20, while Fantasy Life takes a nosedive to 22 after its top 10 position last week. For the Wii U, Hyrule Warriors also suffers heavy knock back and withdraws to 25 from 15, while Mario Kart 8 is green-shelled to 28 from 26. Might be true. Sadly, I haven’t had the time to pick up that game, will probably wait til it drops in price. But as a huge LotR-fan, it looks GOOD!

Yeah, at least there is some form of challenge when playing genres like RPG’s (Final Fantasy, Kingdom hearts, Dragon Quest, ect.) and platformers (Klonoa, Super Mario, Donkey Kong Country, ect.) than playing the likes of a boring and easy sports game.

To be honest Smash is not Mario kart and people who believe it will be a bomb and sell million got it all wrong. What I wanna know, is why we never get U.S. sales figures..Or if we do, it comes literally months after the fact… U.S. sales are still not out for Hyrule Warriors. I mean wtf, is it really that hard to get the numbers? How come every other region gets sales numbers rather quickly, but U.S. numbers always remain a mystery.
The problem with our sales charts is the fact the NPD Group doesn’t use single charts for video games. If a game is multiplat, they jumble all of the multiplats into one single category. Therefore, most Nintendo games get curbstomped when we finally do get a damn sales chart/list.
