Super Smash Bros game director Masahiro Sakurai has showcased two new screenshots in his daily Miiverse picture. And it’s a day for Mega Man fans with two fantastic trophies featuring the classic anti-hero Bass and the Mega Man X protagonist and legendary fighter Zero. Both trophies are exclusive to the Wii U version and were made from scratch by the designers, as Sakurai says in his post.
The director also confirms the appearance of two other Mega Man characters in trophy form – Roll and Proto Man – cementing Nintendo’s relationship with Capcom further. Though we don’t get a glimpse of Roll and Proto Man’s trophies, it will be a nice surprise to fans of the franchise when Super Smash Bros for Wii U releases on November 21 for North America and December 5 for Europe. “Here’s Bass, a trophy for the Wii U version!! When I first saw this, I was really surprised by the quality of this trophy and Treble’s presence. Even though this will only appear as a trophy, this was made from the ground up. Designers really are amazing.
