Master Cycle Revealed As New Vehicle For Mario Kart 8’s First DLC Pack

Nintendo has revealed a new vehicle for Mario Kart 8’s first DLC pack, which is due for release next month. Joining previously announced vehicles such as the Blue Falcon and the B Dasher, the Master Cycle will give bike-users a much-needed boost on the track.

Mario Kart 8 fans can purchase the first DLC pack via the Nintendo eShop or the Nintendo Online Store. Due in November, the Zelda x Mario Kart 8 pack will contain two new cups with 8 new courses, three characters including Link, Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach, as well as four new vehicles. Check out Link on the new Master Cycle above, along with a new image of Animal Crossing’s Isabelle and villager in their chosen karts.

    1. Link and that bike will be all you see in mk 8 once the dlc is out. They should have made it like sonic wiiu racing. only one of each character can be in a specific race at any given time. Nintendo is known for their lack of imagination when it comes to online stuff but this is an obvious one.

      1. That would be the shittiest thing they could do. I hated that in Sonic allstars. Also the forced 30sec delay between races, wtf!?

                  1. I have never bought a Ubisoft game before yet. I didn’t buy Assassin’s Creed 3. Haha, nice fail. XD But I do plan on getting the next two AC games because… I don’t even need to explain. Lol you know me already.

                    1. This is why I wanted to smack you for your comment about how you don’t want a Bayonetta 3 because the first two look so similar to each other as I can say the same about every single Assassin’s Creed game. *pats* I pity you, Hollow…

  1. a must get indeed
hey, guys. you must know obinna is a cross-gender now and says his name is AFRO-dite.
lotsa love to my babe hollowgrapej :*

  2. It’s no Epona, but at least Link won’t seem out of place in Mario Kart 8, when he’s throwing Bom-omb’s off of that SWEET ride.

  3. Whew, and I was afraid he’d get a motorbike designed after Epona… vehicles that look like people and animals give me the skin creeps.

  4. I want to play as Isabelle way more than anyone else. Link is cool but… the cuteness overload of Isabelle though… XD

    1. No, because this Link is what the “real” Link looks like. Toon Link is an alternative art style. I could see them adding both Toon Link and normal looking Link, but it wouldn’t be right to have JUST Toon Link.

That would be like having Baby Mario instead of Mario. You can have just Mario or both of the Marios, but not JUST Baby Mario.

  5. It should have been toon link all the way. With a Red Dragon Kart!

But this look good too. Although very strang seeing adult link on a motorcycle. I seriously don’t think I could ever get used to seeing that.

      1. True, but they probably wanted this version of Link since he’s closer in style to the one in the new Zelda game for Wii U.

        1. Possible… but then they have both in Smash… DLC opens up a lot of possibilities. So any character is fair game… and the more the better, especially since they put helmets on the Mii’s which isn’t very much fun

        2. Speaking of, I wish some new information about new Zelda would sprout. Honestly at the moment, thats the only real reason I want the Wii U.

          1. I’m afraid we wont hear much on the new Zelda until E3 2015. And HOPEFULLY it will release mid November, just like every other holiday first party game. First year it was Mario 3d World, then Smash, next Zelda…… And after that in year four we’ll have Metroid, then year five Mario Galaxy 3, and the final year six will be a new I.P.

  6. wait a minute did anyone see that this was announced by nintendo Uk. I’m not buying into this until I hear it from someone other than them!

    1. You never truly stop playing Mario Kart. But if you do, that’s what the new DLC is for. To bring back your interest. The promise of 16 new tracks is hard to resist.

        1. Besides, I don’t consider myself “missing out”. I got tired of this game even before I got the gold trophy on every mirror mode course. First time that ever happened.

          1. I got bored too, but the DLC makes it worth it. You can’t avoid DLC forever. It is inevitable that Nintendo is going to put it into a game that you really like.
