Aonuma Would Like Mario Kart 8’s Master Cycle In Future Zelda Games

Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has said on Miiverse that he would like the recently revealed Master Cycle in Mario Kart 8 to appear in future Zelda titles. Aonuma was obviously impressed with the design of the DLC vehicle. Here’s what he had to say.

“The other day, I gave you all a sneak peek of Epona, which is a weapon included in a DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors. Today, I would like to introduce another one of Link’s “rides” which will be included in the Mario Kart 8 The Legend of Zelda DLC Pack along with Link…the Master Cycle.”

“As you can see in this picture, the Master Cycle is designed after a horse, so it’s literally a horse of steel. (The Hylian Shield even looks like the cowling too.) You can use many different types of bikes in Mario Kart 8, but this Master Cycle has a design that characters ride leaning forward, allowing you to make sharp turns on the course. Also, this bike is designed a little bigger compared to other bikes, so you’ll definitely leave an impression on the track when you race with it.”

“The development team showed me how the Master Cycle races on the track, and I was overwhelmed by how great it looked. (It looked so cool that I also want it to appear in games I work on.) Along with the first Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack, The Legend of Zelda Pack planned for release in November, you can also advance purchase the second DLC Pack, the Animal Crossing Pack either separately or together with the first pack in a bundle. Please check out Nintendo eShop or the in-game shop if you’re interested in this content (a software update is required in order to access the DLC content). I hope you’ll look forward to seeing Link take a leap outside of the world of Hyrule and making his karting debut!”

    1. No, Aonuma, no…no….We have to draw a line in the sand. Sometimes you gotta wake up in the morning and ask yourself “What am I willing to put up with today?” Not. Fucking. THIS!

Watafak, Aonuma? “Let’s ruin Zelda some more, Skyward Sword didn’t do enough.” Motherfucking piece of shiet!

      1. According to your misguided opinion…

Whenever they want to change something a bit you complainers just complain even more…

And if they stick to the good old fashioned formula, the same thing, you humans just love to complain about everything Nintendo related…

Go and buy an Xbox Done then…

        1. Exactly. Those fuckers will complain about ANYTHING Nintendo says and does and yet keep supporting the other side for doing the same shit they claim to hate Nintendo over. Like I said, they’re a bunch of fucking retarded, hypocrite monkeys.

          1. Biggest Nintendo fan since NES

Actually Nintendo fans don’t complain enough these days with all the shit Nintendo gives us. U brainless fucks just take everything for granted.. if Hitler would come back youd be the first to follow. No own opinion whatsoever lemmings

            1. Actually, we wanted unified accounts which they’re aware of, we wanted less of Gamepad requirements (which it’s happening), we wanted certain games like Metroid which they’re working on.

Nice try Adolf. Like if I were like you buying a fucking DVR at $500 with a stupid ass camera I never wanted just so NSA can illegally hear and watch me at anytime and DRM to control what I buy and play. Now who’s the sheep retard?

              1. Whoa, i don’t remember when was the last time i saw such a BadAss answer on internet, niceeee. Anyway, i’m not with you, or with the hater. Yes, i like to see my favourite games to change and improve, but i really dont want to see a mecha-epona in a Zelda game, just in MK8.

        2. I really think you shouldn’t be replying to my comments after avoiding that argument time and time again, but don’t worry, I bookmarked them, so I can post the link any time you get out of order.

You will be an obedient dog from now on.

“Whenever they want to change something a bit you complainers just complain even more…”

I don’t believe that I am the one saying that all the time “online isn’t necessary”, “features aren’t necessary”, “that game isn’t necessary”

          Sound familiar?

I’m not saying “Don’t change the formula” I’m all for changing the formula, but don’t make Zelda games modern, that would be absurd. It would be like making TES games modern, or COD games medieval…x10 since Zelda is a much older franchise.

Funny comming from someone that avoids not only my comments but everyone else except that boring female human Namie’s…

Still the same old memory loss you have…

I won’t bother responding to some arrogant ape…

                1. Of course you won’t, but you will. You always reply to my comments and after I make a point that you can’t counter, you will try to steer the discussion away and lately you’ve been lying an awful lot.

Where are the comments that I don’t address?
When did you ever beat me in a debate?

                  Never have, never will.

                  1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

The first time you ever replied to me is when I won by default, that’s why you’re nothing more than my little amusement…

                        1. Oh, please explain it to me.

Did you mean “I can’t counter any of your points, so I won’t reply to those comments”?

                          Is that what you meant?

Answer with yes or no. And then if you say yes, I won, if you say no, I’ll copy my comments here for you to create a counterargument. Of course, you will have to address all of the points made.

And now your next comment will be some generic bullshit to avoid those comments, but remember.

                          Yes or no.

                  2. The Donko DLC to Yoshida’s Grand Buttocks Adventure the Video Game will be coming out day 1, and will include such things as:

                    Introductory levels!
                    Tutorials!
                    and Exactly the Same Mechanics!

Why didn’t we decide to release it on day 1? Because fuck logic!

You can have the DLC for only three additional fucks! That’s right, three additional fucks!

                    But wait, there’s more!

If you preorder now, we’ll also include patches for game-breaking bugs, for an additional thirty fucks!

                    Buy it, right now!

                2. I gotta say, the idea of a motorcycle in Zelda DOES feel out of place. INCREDIBLY out of place. I for one do NOT want to see it happen. I don’t mind changing things, but a motorcycle in a zelda game just feels wrong. Zelda has somewhat of a medieval era to it, and adding motorcycles takes away from that.

                1. Aounuma doesn’t make good Zelda games. Not one of the great ones has been done by him except ALBW, but I don’t think that game deserves full credit since it’s 90% ALTTP.

And he took over the whole development after TP which was great. So ST, PH, SS were all mediocre and all his doing.

                  1. No miyamoto last Zelda game was Oot Aonuma Directed Majora, and WW. I remember he took over because he wanted to make another Zelda on N64, and miyamoto only gave him small amount of time, and he worked with WW in secret, because he thought miyamoto would like the artstyle

                          1. He better not dare say Gamespot is irrelevant because he’s the same guy that tried to bring up Gamespot’s 10 for Bayonetta 2. Lol.

                              1. Haha sorry man. But it’s still interesting to see how hypocritical some of these fanboys can be at times. Lol.

                                1. But in your case, its always invalid. Because you are crusade of Moot Point. So I’m glad you wholehearted agree once again you are wrong.

                          2. Skyward had some issues, like lack of dungeon variety and flying was tedious, but it had the best story of all the zelda games, it tied them all together. If you were there since the first one, you HAD to love the story. Gameplay was good, but motion sensor controls should have been more precise. I don’t understand all the skyward haters.

                                1. When I buy a capture card, I’ll make it. I don’t want to emulate a game. I want it to be a real deal.

And when I make it, pretty much all of the people that are delusional now, will stay that later, because nothing can help them. Just look at Nintendo Commander who starts a debate, and when I make my point, he starts avoiding it and starts insulting.

                                  It’s funny.

                      1. That’s because Link Between Worlds is his first Zelda game under his new direction since Miyamoto moved away from director of the series. Of course it would look and feel familiar to aLttP because it’s a direct sequel dummy, much like how Galaxy 2 feels like Galaxy 1 but with new levels and Yoshi included because it’s also a direct sequel. lol

Umm no. Aonuma became a permanent director of Zelda just a few years back when ALBW started it development which came after Skyward Sword, Miyamoto’s last Zelda game he directed.

You say the DS Zelda were mediocre? That clearly tells me you never played either them. I tried Phantom Hourglass and I happen to enjoy it. I never played Spirit Tracks but won’t say it sucks or not because I never played it like you with the big mouth trying to bash Aonuma with no facts of why his direction and games suck. You failed. Better luck next time ass hat but do your homework before coming back to question “Senpai” over here.

                        1. New direction? Or the oldest direction? It’s funny how now the new direction is something that has been done in ALTTP and even more so in first Zelda. Non linear dungeon order…It is what has been done first, but ok.

“Of course it will be similar when it’s a sequel”…It doesn’t have to be the same map, the same music, the same dungeon themes and almost all of the bosses….Majora’s Mask was a sequel as well, made in a little under two years and it only had most of the same characters, new music, new world, time dynamic, new dungeons, new bosses…

ALBW started as ALTTP remake, that is why it’s so similar. Mario Galaxy 2 was made to milk some more money and because they had leftover ideas…ALBW didn’t come out 2-3 years after ALTTP, it came out 20 years after.

                          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Skyward_Sword

                          That is wrong too.

Played them both, own them both. You can’t tell me that they can match Oracle of ages, Link’s Awakening, Minish Cap…they can’t. They are based around a gimmick and since you haven’t played both, you have no right to speak.

                          1. IDK HTF you think the games are worst under Aonuma’s direction when he only directed one Zelda game for the 3DS which I knew it started as a remake idea but changed to a sequel due to the fans wanting a new Zleda for the handheld and it does have new gameplay elements and story to make it different from the previous installment that is aLttP such as 3D, walking within the walls that adds more exploration depth, freedom to explore and complete any dungeon and acquire or rent equipment freely without having to beat a dungeon to get it. I know the overworld feels familiar but unlike you claiming it’s exactly the same, it’s not and I do notice some changes to the design as what a direct sequel is suppose to be like: similar but different. That’s what Aonuma was experimenting on with ALBW for the next Zelda game on Wii U and expand on that to greater heights.

Do you get it now or are you still implying that you’re always right and yet at the same time, deny being arrogant to grasp the simple concept of yourself being blindly cocky because you’re claiming to play the entire series over the Internet to a stranger, expecting me to believe it and feel stupid in a way? You’re not even trying hard enough to justify anything you’re saying or break me to feel dumb behind this little screen of mine. Try again some other time when you’re actually ready to sound intelligent for real.

                            1. I did play the entire series…I didn’t finish all of the games, but I played them all.

I don’t care how you call it. ALBW can’t get full credit as why it’s so good when most of it has just been carried over from ALTTP.

Yes, the people asked, but they asked for a remake more than a game that is ALLTP on steroids with a witty gimmick.

It’s just that they already invested in the remake so much that they said “Well, let’s just pump this out as a new game so that people don’t come to us asking for an actual new Zelda because they got a remake and that doesn’t count, we already have most of the assets.”

That is a good business move, yes. But moves like those don’t create master pieces like Mario Galaxy, 64 or OoT that are still considered as some of the greatest games of all time.

Risks and creativity make those games and I haven’t seen Nintendo take a risk in terms of game making for a long time.

                              1. -Subject Donko: Risks and creativity make those games and I haven’t seen Nintendo take a risk in terms of game making for a long time.-

And yet when they tried something new and are thinking about something new:

-No, Aonuma, no…no….We have to draw a line in the sand.

Exposed, and this is why you’re just my little amusement…

                                1. Making Zelda futuristic sure as shit doesn’t count as “creative” in my book. It’s like AC made the game around pirates…should they be called creative and great for that? No. It’s AC, but with pirates…

                                  Why are you still trying?

                                  1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

You silly humans can’t think ahead for more than 2 seconds can you…

And don’t ever compare Zelda to that garbage…

                                    1. You are so too easy to beat. Go find someone actually stupider than yourself to argue with. You obviously always embarrass yourself with your stupidity when you try to debate me.

                                      1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

You’ve never beaten me, keep deluding yourself like always…

“I’m always right, everyone else is wrong”

                                        Donko…

                                        Exposed forever…

                                        1. Then are you ready to counter those two comments? Why didn’t you argue any of these points here? Don’t tell me that you won’t because it’s “below you”, because you again tried here. You failed, yes, but you tried.

                                          1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

You probably are a pathetic human politician because they never think they are wrong, hence your delusional “I’m always right, everyone else is wrong” mentality…

And I’m so amused about how far down you have fallen down the hole of butthurt…

Bookmarking threads, saving comments, yes, give in into your anger…

                                            1. Then please, prove me wrong. I will post those comments for you to counter, and now I did bookmark this one since it’s another proof that you can’t have a debate with me.

You just can’t. It’s a fact. The only thing you can do is avoid points. Which isn’t working.

                                              1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

And you just don’t seem to understand anything…

You started commenting to me by bashing me, Nintendo and its fans, ipso facto, I don’t debate civilised with creatures like you…

Now go and take your delusional pills and continue to entertain me…

                                                1. “And don’t ever compare Zelda to that garbage…” Your argument just lost all credibility because you turned it into an opinion, Commander. Lol.

                                                  1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

Facts are facts, now move along human child before you get caught in the cross-fire…

                                                    1. Sorry, but you insulted AC and you know I like that franchise, so you forced me into this. Lol. I hate Assassin’s Creed haters. Most of them have never even played more than one game in the series and claim hate for it. That’s like saying you hate the whole Mario franchise just because you didn’t like Super Mario Galaxy. LOL.

                                                      1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

I mostly insult AC just to insult the Ubisians…

I mostly hate the stale boring combat gameplay and the now to be milked franchise…

                                                        1. Good to see that you have reasons then. I would hate of you were just one of those blind AC haters. And if the gameplay is a problem, get Unity. The difficulty of guards has increased because they removed the counter button that blocks enemy attacks and you can now take multiple different routes to your target easier with improved stealth mechanics and new parkour controls. I’m glad for the changes, but honestly, I’m going to miss mowing down loads of armies like a boss because you’re basically invincible if you hold down the counter button. LOL. If you aren’t good enough to stand up to guards, you will have to take the stealth way which is a lot more difficult and you tend to like challenge, so just consider this Assassin’s Creed game for a second. But I know you well enough that you probably won’t get it since it’s from Ubisoft and I know your rule about them, so I understand. But, if possible, at least get it used in the future.

                                                          1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

IF they ever bring a new Prince of Persia to either Wii U, 3DS or future generations that is not gimped, then maybe Ican forgive them to some extent that I can buy some games from them at cheaper prices…

                                                              1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

Yes, disappointing compared to the Sands of Time Trilogy but the music and some “acrobatic moments” kept me going since I have a taste in such music…

                                                                1. That last comment was me. Lol. Also, is Prince of Persia good? I always had interest in the series, but never got to play any. I’ve been an Assassin’s Creed fan for a while. Are you sure it’s not the same because I keep seeing people compare them. Will it pull me away from AC?

                                                                  1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

AC is directly inspired by it according to gameplay and style in some ways but I think the music and the fighting, aswell as the story is better than AC…

And it does everything AC does in terms of combat for the most part, a bit more “organic”…

                                                                2. That first sentence right there sums it all. You can’t just partially play something and then say you know exactly what it is. That’s stupid and makes no sense of holding grounds of what you’re arguing over. Strike one.

Again, you overlooked the detail of ALBW being a “direct sequel”. Strike two.

Again, that third sentence makes no sense. Fans want Majora’s Mask remake but didn’t clearly state or make up their mind on where they want it: 3DS or Wii U. ALBW is aLttP on steroids with a gimmick? Now your stupid meter just broke right there. How’s is ALBW wall walking mechanism a gimmick when it’s a big change to the Zelda’s overall gameplay and exploration which was never done before in the series? That’s like saying Super Mario Galaxy’s Wii Remote controls and planetoids with anti gravity is a gimmick when it’s part of the core gameplay and style that was also never done before in the Mario series. Strike three.

Now you’re saying Nintendo hasn’t taken risks lately? Look at the other side with Sony/Microsoft and 3rdparties. They haven’t tried to innovate/reinnovate shit but rather reuse the same genre and same excuses to make the games seem “brand new” when it’s not and I bet you haven’t opened your mouth about that. Hypocrites really pisses me off.

                                                                  1. @Stranga that Majora’s Mask part is false. You can’t say that because the 3DS install base is WAY bigger than Wii U’s. Most people don’t even know what a Wii U is. I don’t want it on 3DS because it deserves the HD treatment. If Nintendo puts it on 3DS, that would mean they’re doing it because of
                                                                    A: It’s cheaper and easier.
                                                                    B: Money
Not to mention, it would be a complete slap in the face to owners of the Wii U.

                                                                    1. WTF? Did I say that they want it on 3DS over Wii U? No. I said the fans can’t make up their minds on where they want it. Now it’s up to Nintendo to decide on making the remake and where to put it.

                                                                      1. Uhm… NO. It’s not because “fans can’t make up there mind”. I just said they are way more 3DS users. So by default, of course Nintendo is going to respond to the side that wants it more which is unfair because there aren’t enough Wii U owners. And that would be just greedy going after money. -_-

                                                                      2. Strike one….I didn’t say how much I played or beaten. I’ve beaten Oot. MM, TP, WW, PH, ST, SS, ALTTP, ALBW, TLOZ, MC and OoS….that is a lot of them, but I’ve played them all, yes. I still own Zelda 2 for GBA and I’ll probably finish it.

Fans never said where they want the remake of Oot or WW HD… and I don’t remember ever having something like Operation Moonfall for any of those, and yet we got them on a platform Nintendo choose.

It’s a gimmick because it’s probably only going to be used in that one game and never again, like the motion controls in Skyward Sword. The things that are there just because they fit that one game, but won’t carry on because it wouldn’t make sense nor would it enhance the gameplay are gimmicks. L-Targeting wasn’t a gimmick. It was a breakthrough in terms of 3D gameplay that changed everything.

It is made to be a direct sequel because there is no way of justifying the use of the same world, music, bosses and dungeons if it wasn’t…sorry

We’re not talking about Sony and MS here. I hate when people say that Nintendo is innovative and revolutionary, but then bring others to point out how they aren’t. If Nintendo is so innovative and revolutionary, why are you even comparing them to Sony and MS which “aren’t” even though Project Spark seems pretty goddamn creative to me.

It’s like saying that Nintendo is the best and when someone points out what they are missing, everyone starts saying how Sony or MS are missing some other features Nintendo has. If Nintendo was truly objectively the best, they would have everything Sony and MS have and more.

                                                                        Done.

                                                                    2. You just said you didn’t finish the games, which means, you are a troll that just starts a game, thinks the first 10 minutes is boring, and stops playing, and them posts 765875875876 times here saying they suck. Yeah, you are not relevant anymore…

                                                                      1. And then I posted this, down in the comments:

Strike one….I didn’t say how much I played or beaten. I’ve beaten Oot. It’s a gimmick because it’s probably only going to be used in that one game and never again, like the motion controls in Skyward Sword. We’re not talking about Sony and MS here. Done.

                                                            1. Phantom Hourglass was so boring. The touch controls alone made me not want to even finish it. ALBW was amazing imo. But the best of them all that I’ve played so far is OOT. I played it a really, really long time ago and I don’t remember everything, but it’s still my favorite! I HAVE to get it on the 3DS. I’m hoping Nintendo puts Majora’s Mask remake on Wii U instead of 3DS though because since it would be a visual upgrade, it makes sense to go for HD. I haven’t played SS. Really want to, but not sure with how people say they don’t like it. For one thing, I hate motion controls, so that’s probably 50% of the game killed for me already right there. I also have Wind Waker HD since I always wanted to played it, but it bored the life out of me. I really don’t even want to play it anymore. In this case, I feel like I wasted $50.

                                                                1. The dungeons and the sailing.. I haven’t enjoyed being in any dungeon so far and the Earth Temple literally almost put me to sleep. I haven’t played many Zelda games, but that one is definitely one of my least favorites.

                                                                  1. Haha yea the sailing can suck, you’re lucky you didn’t play the original without the faster sail! You would have hated it!

                                                            2. Congratulations! You have shared your OPINION. I’m so glad you shared your OPINION with everyone here. OPINIONS are so nice– you can have them and share them with everybody, and nobody has to care!

Unfortunately, OPINIONS are not FACT, something you don’t seem to understand. But don’t worry! I’m sure that one day, you’ll realize that people here ran out of fucks for you a long time ago; I took all their fucks so they can pre-order the Donko DLC to Yoshida’s Grand Buttocks Adventure the Video Game.

Once again, thank you for sharing your OPINION and wasting your time here with us again today, and I wish you luck in getting a life outside the Internet, because you will definitely need it.

                                                                1. So you, too, are making the same game with the exact same name? And you, too, can say that people ran out of fucks for me? I’d say that would contradict your statement, considering everyone’s fucks are invested in my game. They can’t ALL be for me AND all be for you—that’s like saying Justin Bieber is straight; it just doesn’t work.

                                                                  1. That is why I’m pretty much the only guy responding to you. But I’ll have to stop for a while. You are my fan, remember. We have to keep our relationship like that and we both know that famous people don’t interact with their fans on regular basis. So…

                                                                    1. Silly you, as I said before, I am not a mechanical device that sits in you room full of doritos and 7up. I am merely once again someone who can detect your butthurt behind that wall of sarcasm you have. You have also have indicated that you rage quitted so that you can poorly attempted to escape and find biore for your wounded posterior. So…

                                                        2. Skyward Sword was pretty solid. I also don’t care for the futuristic Eponas such as a boat or a train. Windwaker and Spirit Tracks are my least 2 favorite Zelda games.

                                                            1. Well perhaps I used the wrong word – let’s say it’s my favorite 3D Zelda game. Only a few of the 2D ones are better IMO.

                                                              1. Ignore him, Marth. He seems to hate Skyward Sword for some reason. I personally think he’s either just mad it’s not another bland realistic game, like half the other haters of Skyward Sword, or he hates it because of the robots. If it’s the robots, he needs to get over that shit since the robots were the creation of practically a god-like being. It’s not like the robots were wide spread and could be made by anybody.

                                                        3. blablabla I’m important blablabla my opinion is word blablabla because I hate it everyone else should too blablabla…. Please refrain from commenting anywhere on the internet. People like you seek attention on the internet due to lack from school/work or anywhere in general. I suggest not making it so obvious and realize this is a community with people of different opinions. There is no need to shit on other peoples’ opinions. Your first comment was justifiable, but it went to shit with your comments.

                                                          1. Explain, don’t just speak your mind without supporting it with explanations and your points… That is terrible. It’s like saying that Wii U sucks and not supporting it with anything.

I don’t suffer from lack of attention.

                                                          1. Skyward Sword was the single worst thing that came from any of the big Nintendo series, main Zelda series, main Mario, main Metroid, DK, Kirby, Yoshi….

                                                            Just awful.

                                                            1. For me, it’s one of the best games in the franchise up there with Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, & Wind Waker. I’m honestly going to ask, though, even though I have a feeling I might regret asking but… What’s your problem with Skyward Sword?

                                                              1. Oh & a ton of Metroid fans would disagree with you on that & say it’s most definitely Metroid: Other M that was the single worst thing that came from any of the franchises you mentioned.

                                                              2. Oh, man. There are so many problems I have with that game, I don’t know if I can type that out in less than 5,6 hours. Everything from linearity, over Fi, tutorials and motion controls….yes I know people will say that they were pretty good, but they weren’t 100% respnosive, and controls have to be that as they are your only way of interacting with the game. Also the stupid formula of beginning, 3 dungeons, story, more dungeons, end. I hate that and TP did change it up a bit, but this just shat on all of it. Fi was terrible…and so on, and so on.

                                                      1. Or do what Legend of Korra does: blend modern day elements and environment with medieval feel. :) That seems like a very cool and refreshing idea and with that kickass bike thrown in, you got yourself a new badass Zelda game in a new era.

                                                    2. Nintendo always seem to out do themselves. Just when you think everything we have been getting is awesome and then they top it again.

                                                    3. No just no. That will drift far apart from how the Zelda series is. If they go a train route sure then one of the train parts can be how the master cycle is. Or how skyward sword had a futuristic part to it then it can be something to get from one platform to another.
But having you drive around in a futuristic city? No then guns will be involved and everything that will make a zelda game downhill.

                                                      1. Guns in a Nintendo game? I don’t think you give them enough credit, they’ll come up with something cleverer than that.

                                                      2. Holy cow I agree with you Jester, it’s gonna be a good day when I don’t have to damage control for you Nintendo XD

                                                            1. The Lunimoth uses magic. XD In fact, it’s because of their light-based magic that accidentally created the Ing when the Phazon meteor hit which is where you came in Commander “Quadraxis”, as their defense against the Ing until you were captured and corrupted by them.

Yes, I played Metroid Prime 2 to know the entire story. :3

                                                              1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

Magic is just a term for the primitive cerebros that don’t know super advanced alien science…

The Ing showed me the true way…

                                                                      1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

                                                                        1. No…

                                                                        2. Too busy with outworld matters to bother checking my systems right now…

                                                                          1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

Human logic is primitive and therefore invalid…

                                                                            Luminoth technology sometimes overpowers…

                                                                            1. Right. lol I glitches you just a minute ago so human logic is only invalid because you ignore it. lol

If Lunimoth sometimes overpowers, then don’t you think it’s wise to join them since they’re superior which you just confessed? XD

                                                                              1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

Don’t make me point out all of your glitches…

Now go and destroy Donko or some other pathetic life…

                                                                  1. Yea but he’s riding Epona as a regular horse in the trailer too, not a motorcycle. The bike would make Epona pointless. If it was like OOT and had two time periods, that could maybe work, like regular old times Zelda, then the future part of the game would be WAY in the future, not just 7 years. That I might be ok with.

                                                                1. If it intelligently blends modern day with medieval like Legend of Korra did with its 70+ years of advancement from Chinese culture, then I’m in for such change. :) Zelda in its usual timeline is getting a bit stale and that’s where Aonuma comes in. ;D

                                                                    1. I never said that and plus, it’s BS that it’s not coming to the Wii U but everywhere else like 3DS.

I said if the “future” or modern day Zelda looks anything like Korra’s time and environmental blend, then it could work.

                                                              2. A cycle in a Zelda game? That would be like seeing a motor vehicle in a western movie. It doesn’t mix or make sense.

                                                              3. “(The Hylian Shield even looks like the cowling too.)”

*The cowling even looks like the Hylian Shield. (Since the shield came before the cowling in terms of concept, it should thus come 1st in such a sentence. Also, the article refers to the Master Cycle anyway, so it (or its parts) should also come 1st for continuity’s sake, transitioning from the main subject to a new idea. ‘too’ no longer sounds right, so there’s also an economy of language when the nouns are in reverse order.) Sorry to nitpick.

Anyway, including the Master Cycle in a mainline Zelda seems so wrong, even for a futuristic scenario.

                                                              4. *JUST BECAUSE the shield came before the cowling in terms of concept, DOESN’T MEAN it should thus come 1st in such a sentence.

                                                                I too am fallible.

                                                              5. Not feeling it. There is enough futuristic shit out now a days don’t need Zelda going down that path. That’s what actually makes it different its not another futuristic game that’s the point

                                                              7. Oh for the love of god DO NOT final fantasy Zelda. We love Zelda for what it is and we don’t need any of that futuristic bullshit on it.

                                                              8. It would be hard to implement this ‘device’, into a Zelda game without sacrifising the lore. I think the design is cool too, but it doesn’t belong in a Zelda game.

A fear I always had as a kid was that someone bad would buy out the Zelda franchise and destroy it. Glad that never happened. But I don’t think you should try new things with the Zelda franchise, just to try new things. That could be equally disasterous.

                                                              9. Sounds good to me! I would love a Zelda game where fantasy and futuristic materials collide!

We actually kind of got that already in Skyward sword, but maybe they can expand on it?

                                                                  1. Of course they could. But as usual, Nintendo’s retarded fanbase rejects every possibility of a new idea and want to keep everything the same. As if it isn’t already bad enough that people complain about Nintendo games being too similar…

                                                              10. The train in Spirit Tracks was already stretching what feels”right”for a Zelda game pretty danged thin.
I think a motorcycle would be going a bit too far for anything other than a non-canon spin-off.

                                                              11. Uhm… how about… NO!! Unless Hyrule gets invaded by freaking advanced aliens, I don’t want to see a bloody motorcycle. I’m cool with the futuristic arrow since it’s most likely powered by magic, anyway. I’m okay with a train since magic was involved in that, too. I’m okay with robots from a thunder dragon, as well, since the robots were given life by way of electricity.

Now if the Master Cycle is altered to look more medieval & powered by magic, maybe even powered by the Master Sword itself, then I’m okay with that. But anything other than that & I’ll be pissed!
