The excellent Super Smash Bros has slipped from number 11 to 14th in the charts. Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U is still hanging in there at number 40 and Hyrule Warriors has disappeared completely. I was expressing my opinion on the matter. The only thing that offends me is that games that take years to develop, get overshadowed by yearly rehashes in the U.K, I guarantee you that the game that got number 1 this week, will not be 1st or 2nd or 3rd next week, because Fifa 15 will overshadow it.
My point is that I don’t care what company you are or what platform you release your games on, if you release a game that took years to develop and you put a lot of effort into making the game play well and play without an abundance of glitches, then you deserve to have more success than companies that make yearly games with little changes to justify a purchase.
I’m sorry if I come off as angry, but it infuriates me, knowing that Fifa, a franchise that has yearly rekeases with barely any changes except a roster change, graphical upgrades and maybe a game mode, is more successful than games that have a lot of effort put into it.
I apologize if it has sounded as if I acted fanboyish on my other comments, but this comment pretty much explains what I mean. Again, if Nintendo did yearly rehashs, then I would not condone that either.
I prefer to see effort, heart and determintion put into every game that releases. I don’t have a problem with the Fifa brand, if EA released a Fifa game that has multiple new game modes and everything that they add every year and put a ton of effort into it, then I wouldn’t have a problem with the success it recieves.
