Smash Tour Introduced As New Fighting Board Game Mode For Smash Bros Wii U

Super Smash Bros for Wii U will have a brand new mode named Smash Tour. As the 3DS version as its own mode – Smash Run – it would be terrible to leave the Wii U out in the cold and without a new mode. Smash Tour will be a fighting party game seen as a mini-board game map. You’ll be able to pick up all the power-ups from Smash Run in Smash Tour, so you’ll never miss out on those precious items. Mario may appear, but it’s definitely no Mario Party board game.

      1. Hey, I actually wasn’t trolling this time. I really do prefer Smash Run to the board game mode, but just that mode. I do agree that the Wii U version is going to be 100X better in just about every way, but I was still hoping for more of a true Adventure Mode experience.

          1. Well, I suppose I’ll just have to have faith in Sakurai’s innovative spirit. I’m sure that he’s added some nice features to make the mode better than it looks. Event Mode is going to be where I spend a lot of time tho!

  1. I’m LOVING this. I just hope there are rules that you can apply to each session so that it feels fresh every time. The problem with Smash Run is that there’s no variety besides the final mode, so I really hope they have modes to keep it interesting. Now all we need is the real board game to go along with this. :)

  2. I’ve always wanted an all-star Mario Party kind of game. This is the closest I’ve seen to it so far. Also reminds me of Fortune Street.

  3. This game is a huge piece of garbage. Owning it, and just wishing i could get my money back.
I rather play Smash Bros on emulators then having to deal with all the stupid things in this game…

Really hope that idiot developer keeps his promise and will not work on the next smash bros.
After like… 15 years, i’d still rather play another round of Mugen, then playing with… “mighty heroes” versus “a houswife and a duck”…

Prefer fighting Goku vs. Mario vs. Superman vs. Darth Vader, to fighting with idiotic household objects, and champions, that i could beat with a single hand in reallife.
Never has there been a roster, as pathetic as this one, in gaming history.

Smash bros doesn’t represent Nintendo’s great work anymore… just Nintendo’s work… which has been low quality for quite a few years now…
