Your Amiibo is smart and learns how to adapt to how you play, so if you play games without items your Amiibo won’t know how to pick them up if you do encounter items. I don’t understand. Are you controlling these yourself or do you just put them in as cpu’s to fight against? Imma confusedddd :(
It stores data as a custom version of the fighter you create in the game. That Amiibo can then, through the NFC reader, enter the game and fight as an AI. It gains experience and can level up to 50 (higher than the in-game CPU fighters’ Level 9 max), making it an ideal sparring partner due to the challenge.
They’re mainly showing matches where a human fights alongside an Amiibo character, but you can also fight against it (as mentioned above) or have Amiibo just fight each other. With the leveling/movesets, it’s like a Smash Pokemon match minus the turn-based mechanics.
If your over 13 years old and you purchase Ammibos, you better be buying it for someone under 13.

Seriously its so much waste of money nothing of value can be added with amiibos and also if they made them unlock in other games aditional content by locking them on disc and have to scan amiibos to unlock will be really cheap move from nintendo.Also why you make it like its childish to have figures but not when playing videogames?

I’m 36 and I plan to eventually buy ALL of them for myself. But just to collect. I’m not opening them. Besides…..there’s nothing wrong with buying toys just because you’re over 13.
No you wont. And yes there is. There is something very wrong about adults buying toys. It’s like they are lost in time or something. Or, maybe they are oblivious.

I still don’t think people really know what they do. I think they’re awesome! If you’re tired of just facing stupid cpu’s you can train your own custom fighter to fight against or alongside you to make the smash battles bigger. It is also great because me and my younger brother love team battle but it’s often just the two if us, these amiibos will be much more fun to fight alongside or against than regular cpu
Instead of toys, they could just give us the codes to put on a usb drive or sd card that we could update. Also, could give us universal accounts with an Amiibo app we could access from anywhere.
