Super Smash Bros For Wii U Becomes IGN’s Game Of The Month For November

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has been deemed IGN’s Game of the Month for November. Out of all the games that were released last month, Nintendo’s latest brawler reigned supreme. IGN applauded the Wii U version of the game for its exclusive 8-Player Smash mode, which allows eight players to fight simultaneously in local multiplayer. To accommodate all the characters, this mode lets users compete on even larger stages. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is available now in stores and on the Nintendo eShop.

    1. I just recieved an uptade for the wii u.Can you guys at nintendo news check what it was about? Maybe it fixes Ram problems people had.

        1. Actually that’s exactly how they chose it, they’ve talked about it in the past on their podcast’s. now the reason why GTA didn’t get it is because its a rerelease and IGN doesn’t count those.

  1. The single player for this smash is meh for me. I miss race to the finish and break the targets and adventure mode. Also there’s not that much new stages. Other than that it’s great.

    1. ^ This !
The single player feels so dull to me, compared to Melee and Brawl. The fact that they took out race to the finish and (especially) break the targets upsets me the most probably, really enjoyed those. The lack of adventure mode is very annoying too imo, the modes they’ve included feel really bland to me personally, they’re just too short and they’re kinda missing that “special” something.

      1. We as gamers are never satisfied anymore. And this is exactly why Sakurai doesn’t want to make another Smash, because the bars has been raised so high. The dude developed while suffering a medical condition with his shoulder, and still managed to release in 2014! Not just Sakurai, but all of these developers across all platforms pour hundreds of man-hours into developing these games that are never good enough.

        1. Considering break the targets had been part of the game since the very first installment of the game, and adventure mode + race to the finish since Melee, it’s not about raising the bar, but giving us what had been included in the series for a long time now.
Also, it was Sakurai’s own decision to work on those games, and he knew he had that medical condition that may have influences on the efficiency of his work; nobody forced him to, he wanted it that way. He could have passed up the practical work to new developers while he functioned as a superviser, but it seems like he refused to do that. Consumers are naturally going to expect more from games each time, and if a developer can’t deliver, they might want to consider if they really want to take up all the work on their own. You can’t blame people for wanting more and bigger content, including improvements on already existing popular features, from a new game than what was offered in a previous installment; that’s the point of a new part of a series.

      2. Best smash bros ever. Its just that you guys played previous titles too much and got bored of smash formula without even knowing.

        1. I don’t think that you, a complete stranger, would be able to tell whether or not I’ve grown bored of a franchise. But just for the record, I’ve been playing SSB since its first installment, I still played Brawl with friends until a couple of days before the release of SSB 4 for the WiiU, and SSB 4 for the WiiU was one of my most anticipated games of 2014. Taking all of that into consideration, I’d say, no, I sure as hell am not bored of SSB’s formula.

    1. Exactly. That’s why I’m glad Nintendo platforms don’t have to deal with their BS plus it’s not just broken games but looking at Destiny and Watchdogs that lied about what they have shown and talked about before launch, they conned so many dumbasses money for false advertisements. Smash Bros. 4, Bayonetta 2 and even Hyrule Warriors deserves top spot this year. Their games usually deliver with flying colors.

      1. Its not like smash brick consoles….not at all.I m still afraid to go online until I know what is happening.Tgere was an update just now I hope it fix it.Gonna check for patch botes.

  2. Smash Bros. for Wii U reminds me too much of Mario Party Battle mini-games. They did much better with Brawl, idk what happened to that. I don’t wanna play a Mario Party inspired Smash Bros. And I’m not talking about Smash Tour, the core gameplay just seems like a quick flash and it’s over. The battles finish too soon, just like Mario Party games. Oh well.

    1. The only reason brawl matches were longer was because all the characters moved like snails.

Im fighting a match, not grinding on an RPG.

  3. I know Rosalina is a cute/beautiful character, but why is she bigger than Peach? Her size feels off, especially here in Smash.

      1. Yes, I am aware of all that! I just mean her character model. She’s gorgeous but if we do some comparison (especially on this picture), Rosalina looks weird.

      2. Lol he compare 3d models omg.Its just 3D artists just had the same model when they design Peach and Rosalina…..stupiest channel ever seriously.

      3. lord ghost : king of the federation

gamer theorist are a bunch of clowns that take anything in a video too serious and compare it to real life. check their silly watch_dogs, lol they keep saying underscore with the “watch dogs”

      1. Hah, doubt it, when she was introduced she was a lot like peach in Mario Galaxy. Surely Nintendo made it look like that. And seriously, light? Have you played Mario Kart in the last years?

                        1. Take Ultron for example. It claims humans are a threat to the humanity and earth. It’s half correct and also half wrong because it too is a threat to them as well. Robots are single minded after all.

                              1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

No, but you mention things that doesn’t apply to my superior complexity…

                  1. Oh yeah, that’s roght. Kinda forgot of her power. Thank you man! At least you’re not hypocrite as other comments I’ve got replied! Totally appreciate it :)

And yes, best Princess without a doubt

                1. Nintendo says “HELL NO!” to Kojima for not releasing MGS to either Nintendo systems. Snake Eater 3D was a good game on 3DS.

              1. Yeah love it(flying man is bit annoying) really wish it made to the wii u verion, but we got Onett… and I fucking hate pac Land, should have been the arcade stage

              2. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

Anyone else that has seen the Terminator Genisys trailer yet?…

I don’t know about you but personally I think the CGI is terrible compared to T2 and T3 and they have so uch unrealistic action in it that it takes away the serious plot of the movie…

And the “evil” terminator doesn’t seem robotic enough for my superior taste…

                1. Terminator suck so much, couldnt watch them because its so stupid.
I enjoyed robocop old movies but the new was so stupid I actually fell asleep in the cinema.
Dont get me started on Transformers… (3 dots because u like it)

Summarize movies that have androids, robots or anything else robotic suck ass.

              3. Is bad that i fucking play this game 5 hours straight on for glory mode every single day. Never in my life have play a game that long.
