Well, the Japanese Christmas charts are now in thanks to Media Create. It’s been a reasonably healthy week, as you might expect, with the majority of consoles receiving a little sales boost thanks to the festive season. The Nintendo 3DS remains the best-selling video game system in the country and shifted a decent 196K with a little help from Final Fantasy Explorers. The Wii U also saw a slight sales boost selling 38K. Here’s the best-selling games and consoles in Japan.

On the ground it might seem like it. On moving stages and stuff with platforms and stuff, he’s fucking terrible. That’s why For Glory mode has every stage in FD form. It’s the perfect killing stage for him. *Evil laugh*

I’m serious. Little Mac is at a disadvantage on stages where he has to move and jump. His air attacks are terrible. But on flat stages he’s an absolute monster and his combination of power and speed makes him deadly. But you have to use him right. Little Mac’s recovery is terrible so If he gets launched at about 60-70 percent, he’s got even coming back. I think the KO meter makes up for the situations (like on the platform and moving stages) where he’s getting beaten badly because he’s at a disadvantage.

He’s not OP. He just hits hard. And he’s fast. In the air though, he’s an easier match. Even characters like Ganondorf who are slow have attacks that can easily hit him in the air…

Good week overall for all comapnies, well Nintendo and Sony anyway. Wii U has had a decent increase this week and so did the Vita And 3DS as well. Xbox One fails to even sell 1000, but that’s not too surprising and PS4 drops, but from a high amount, so the sales are still pretty good, considering Japan is a handheld dominant market. 3DS sells unsuprisingly amazingly. Mario Kart 8 stays stuck in the software list like it’s using Super Glue for the last almost 7 months. Expect sales of everything to start to decrease again on next weeks list as the holiday season comes to a close…
The decline will not be on next week. It is leading up to the Japanese holiday. They celebrate Christmas like it is valentine’s day

PS the majority of Japanese people do not celebrate Christmas. It is funny how we in the west always superimpose our belief system on others. The boost in sales is from salary men getting bonuses and buying their children a gift for that reason. Mostly nothing to do with Christmas.
