Aonuma Told The Hyrule Warriors Team Not To Add Tingle

The Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma told the Hyrule Warriors team that he didn’t want Tingle to star in the game despite the team at Tecmo Koei wanting to include the bizarre character in the well-received game. Aonuma told the team that it would be better to include some other character rather than Tingle.

Actually, Tingle was a character we kind of considered and sort of went back and forth on. We really wanted to include him but Mr. Aonuma suggested that it might be good to include some other character.

Thanks, MasterPikachu6

        1. Why does looking stupid mean he’s a bad character? Both parts of his statement were equally unintelligent but you only pick out the gay part? Dumbass,

          1. You are criticizing him for only picking out one flaw? No, you are just finding a reason to bash on him for speaking against gay slandering, you piece of shit.

            1. what has led you to be so mad about that comment? the message your comment sends to me is that pink0crystal0midbus is a terrible person for not calling CommenSin out more on the comment they made.

  1. While I don’t mind Tingle as a character I’m glad he’s not in hyrule warriors because I don’t think he would have fit in very well with the Hyrule Warriors art style.

    1. And Agitha fits? She makes less sense for Hyrule Warriors than Tingle would. At least Tingle has used bombs and has shown the ability to actually know some sort of magic (see the uses of the Tingle Tuner from Wind Waker), while the ONLY thing Agitha’s done is ask you to collect golden bugs for her. :/

  2. I don’t get the love for Tingle. I’ve never really found reason to NOT like him, but how much people borderline worship him… I just don’t get it. And I’m kinda glad that this happened, considering that Tingle already has his own games that he stars in and by not including him, they were able to include others who we haven’t been able to use before, like Ruto, Agitha, and Ghirahim. That said… if Tingle and Skull Kid are the two characters for the Majora’s Mask DLC, I’ll be overjoyed.

    1. Agitha doesn’t deserve a chance when there are SOOOO many other MUCH more important and memorable characters.

      1. I can’t stand lana, she doesn’t even look like a zelda character, just a typical annoying anime style chick.

      2. Lana is indeed I just said her MOVESET not her. Her staff moveset to be specific since it focuses on the Great Deku Tree.

  3. All my hopes and dreams… CRUSHED!
Seriously though, Tingle would have been a pretty awesome/funny character, plus he’s iconic!

  4. Why the hell would anyone want this disgusting pedophilic piece of trash in the game? are people seriously that fucking demented? you should be sucking Aonuma’s dick for the beyond wise choice of deciding not to include such a cancerous existence.

    1. Except, you know, in Japan AND Europe, Tingle is actually popular (some people actually enjoy comedically absurd and strange characters), and has actually had a series of games for the DS. The U.S. seems to be the only major Tingle-phobe, as we’re the only one’s to not have the games localized. Tingle haters need to pull the stick out of their ass and accept that there are people that wanted him in. It’s not like you’d be forced to play as an optional character in the game, anyways.

    1. I can’t stand that they put her in, nor the people defending the decision. “Nobody expected it so it’s awesome and random!” Yea, no.

      1. stop bitching agitha is actually a good character and tingle is ok but i agree not for hyrule warriors Skullkid and anju or maybe even majora and Mikau those would be awesome

        1. She might have good moves in Hyrule Warriors but she still sucks as a character, quit your Nintendo dick riding

  6. I liked Hyrule Warriors. But I was a bit disappointed in the lack of characters. I was led to believe there would be TONS. And it’s a shame Tingle wasn’t included. I always loved laughing at him.

  7. Tingle, while I probably wouldn’t have played with him much (Ghirahim is my go-to for HW), I would have liked to see how they would have made him playable. That said, not all hope is gone- he could be added via DLC in the future, and seeing as how HW already has plenty, what’s a little more?

  8. I guess he spoke strongly against Tingle simply to play things straight – while popular in Japan and parts of Europe, he has a huge hatedom in America (which’s why, amongst other things, players call for a temperary truce whenever he appears in Smash Brothers Melee just so that they could throw him off the stage).

  9. How the hell can people hate on Tingle ? He’s a 35 year old man so obsessed with fairies that his sole wish is to become one. This whole ambition, coupled with his general cheerful demeanor is so pathetically sad that one can’t help but root for him. He’s twice the man I want to be, and TIngle’s dreams are my dreams. I want Tingle for Hyrule Warriors. And Smash. Make it happen Nintendo.

  10. Tingle does not, will not, and could never fit into a warriors styled game like Hyrule Warriors… I’m not a hater of his but I do know that there are other games where he would feel right at home.

If he becomes DLC then whatever, but I don’t see it happening…

I’m glad he spoke against Tingle AND that we got Agitha instead. Least Agitha never did anything to ruin the fucking game for me. Unlike Tingle in Wind Waker. *flips Tingle off* Go drop dead, you greedy bastard!
