This week’s UK individual charts are now in courtesy of GFK Chart-Track and UKIE. With the official arrival of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker in the UK at the turn of the new year, the brave adventurer has gone and bagged a top 20 debut position. Sandwiched between the likes of FIFA 15 and Far Cry 4, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for Wii U hits the sweet spot at number 14, despite its haphazard release in the region. And while it may not challenge other games at the top of the board, it’s a solid start for a new standalone game – you can check out our review of the backpacker’s journey here.
Elsewhere in the individual charts, the top four games are non-movers with Grand Theft Auto V refusing to give up the crown. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U keeps an eye on the field from 32, up four places since last week, while Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire move down a few places to 34 and 37, respectively. Captain Toad actually kicked out Just Dance 2015 (Wii) from the UK video game sales charts.
Congrats to Pokemon ORAS and SSB for Wii U for staying on the UK charts into 2015!

We generally post the individual charts as Nintendo games are usually only on one platform, so it’s a fairer view in terms of where the game slots in.

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker did better in the U.K charts than I expected, I thought it would only reach number 30 or lower, because of the Usual Suspects taking the other high spots, so I am pleasantly surprised, that’s a great thing. On a side note, how is Assassins Creed Unity doing so well, I thought that it is a broken mess. I get why Fifa, Call of Duty and GTA V sell well here in the U.K, that’s what people here like and I get that, I also get that, to my knowledge, neither of those 3 are broken beyond belief, so why is Assassins Creed Unity doing so well, the U.K market never ceases to amaze me, in this case, not in the good way…
Patches released for it. Not only that but a Xbone bundle came with Unity and AC4. Which I have also gotten. Only dowmloaded Unity since I’ve played 4 on the Wii U.
But wouldn’t requiring a patch to make the game run as it was intended be a turn off???
Downloading a patch is a simple process…
I know it’s a simple process, it’s just that when a game needs a patch to run as good as it was supposed to, then that’s not a good thing. A semi-broken game out of the box is not a good thing. I feel the same way about day one updates for new consoles as well, it should be good to go right out of the box…
if anyone knew that super smash bros for wii u would be Fighting to get to the Top that’s because its a fighting Game for wii u witch is the best game on wii u right now.
