Nintendo of Japan are set to launch two new Wii Remote character designs within the Super Mario collection in the next few months. Arriving on March 12 in the region, Mario’s arch-enemy Bowser poses a threat with a yellow, red and green-coloured Wii Remote Plus, while Toad will come in peace with red, white and blue. The two new character controllers will join the Super Mario series – which already houses Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi controllers – and retail for approximately 3,619 yen each, plus tax.
Nintendo has yet to confirm whether Bowser and Toad will make it overseas to North America and Europe, however. But with Mario Party 10 due to launch on March 20 with its new amiibo party mode, the two character controllers certainly wouldn’t look out of place.

Ha. Just ordered the Yoshi themed one yesterday. Maybe should have waited a little longer. These 2 look ace and they will probably come to Euroland at some point.

i went crazy when skyward sword came out. i went to new york and bought 4 from the nintendo world store. then bought 2 gold nunchuks from japan and then they gave club nintendo america the gold nunchuk and i got 2 more. i then ordered golden eye from the uk that came with the gold classic controller. so now my gold collection is complete i’m still fighting the urge to order the Bowser one.
