UK Charts: Tomadachi Life Climbs While Super Smash Bros for Wii U Falls

This week’s individual UK games charts are now in courtesy of GFK Chart-Track and sales-tracker UKIE. With no shift at the top of the leader board from Grand Theft Auto V and no newcomers this week, the charts remain largely the same. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One titles dominate as per, while Nintendo games move up, slip down and re-enter as seasonal fashion trends.

While quirky life simulation game Tomodachi Life climbs up four places to 31, Super Smash Bros for the Wii U moves down four to 37. Mario Kart 8 re-enters and pops itself down at 34, following some hazy manoeuvres. You can check out the top 40 individual UK charts below, or alternatively can view the All-Formats chart, here.

        1. Because your brain is too small to understand. I don’t even know why you call yourself a commander. The game has innovation, comparing to your rehashed platformers. Your fanboyism is bloody cancer of gaming evolution.

            1. And here’s another example of you insulting your glorious “empire” as well as Nintendo fans. Keep going with the role-playing device, though. Still entertaining to see how pathetic you can get.

  1. Mario Kart 8 once again reenters the charts. It once again shows that Mario Kart is a constant seller. That begs the question, has Mario Kart 8 passed 5 Million yet, because I wouldn’t be surprised if it did…

      1. Again, it’s the U.K. People’s tastes here are absolutely shocking. Not just in Video Games, but other things as well. I swear, it feels like at least half of the people here smoke, that’s stupid, why would you do something that will end your life early. Speaking of which, there were people at my school that did underage smoking and I even saw a kid, about 6 or 7, smoking as well. I never did it and I never will, because I actually have more than half of a brain. So, Mr or Mrs Anonymous, Fanboyism isn’t the logic he is using, he’s using the logic of truth. I’m defending the guy for speaking the truth, despite the fact that he insulted me by calling me an Xbot…

          1. Thank You Commander, that means a lot to me. I just don’t like getting falsely accused of being anything…

    1. Same, except the entirety of the Top 40, bar 3 of the games. Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros for Wii U and WWE 2K15, because I am a wrestling fan, but wouldn’t buy a console for one game that I would want. That’s why I don’t own a PS4 or Xbox One, only one series, the WWE 2K series, is the only series I even care about that gets released on those consoles. I own a Wii U for the fantastic multiple franchises, including 2D Mario, 3D Mario, Mario Kart, Zelda, Starfox, potential Metroid and others…

  2. I’m surprised Tomadachi Life is crawling up at all, I don’t see the appeal of that game, I couldn’t get into it. It’s cute, but you don’t do all that much. The thing with games like Smash falling is that they sell incredibly well but everyone that wants the game gets it right away, so less and less buy it later on.

Wow. Tomodachi Life was a gold mine. Who would have thought it would sell this well? Especially in the UK. I still have not even gotten it.

  4. I’ve only played Smash Bros. Wii U a few times and I’m already sick to death of it. I’m just not into fighting games.

  5. I feel the same way as you do with smash/fighting games. Well I used, not anymore. I’ve always preferred games where I could take my time to think, instead of competitive games where, because of the frantic action, it gives you little time to think and you must depend on skill. I primarily enjoyed strategy games(intelligent systems ftw). Then my brother and friends got my into call of duty and that all changed. At first I was utterly horrible, but after a few games (years!) I got the hang of it and shooters have become one of my favorite genres. Splatoon can’t come soon enough. I’m only decent at smash, and i’m buying a new 3ds xl just to practice(level 50 amiibos), but I think you should give yourself a bigger chance with these games until you feel comfortable with them, cause, honestly, smash is awesome.

    1. I wish Nintendo would make a Smash Bros. RPG. So that people who don’t like fighting games (but loves RPG’s) will have a game (with an all-star cast) that they can play and actually love.

I personally hate shooters. Except for Resident Evil 4. But that’s not exactly a shooter. Aside from Zelda, I’m not even sure what my favorite kind of games are anymore? Except Pikmin and Assassin’s Creed.
