On March 20th You’ll Be Able To Use Any Amiibo With Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

No longer will you be relegated to just using the Captain Toad amiibo figure in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Nintendo has announced that on March 20th you’ll be able to use any existing amiibo figure with the game which will grant you a special 1-Up mushroom. It’s certainly a welcome move by Nintendo.

Features available on March 20:

  • Tap the Toad amiibo to the Wii U GamePad controller for a special hide-and-seek challenge in each stage.
  • Watch as Pixel Toad runs into the level and search through the level to try to find him.
  • Tap other amiibo figures and receive 1-UP Mushrooms.

Thanks, Rubberyen

Instead of 1-Up mushrooms, why not doing something similar with the other Amiibos?…

Suzumiya-san. The amiibo gives you half a life in Mushroom Kingdom Warriors 3 Directors cut. After you collect 3 half lifes, the game unlocks Mother 3 DLC… Just clarifying.

I did have a Bayonetta Avatar on this site for a few months and I’ve been the only Nintendo Lieutenant for as long as I can remember.

          1. ya but you still had it yo, you are the most clean person i know she-bruh, and when people threw shit at you, i especially remember somebody telling you something so dark and not human, and you’d always take it calmly and send back positivity towards them uh. You are the goody of the Nintendo forces.

I’m a guy. And thanks. I’m pretty familiar with anonymous and everything they bring. Most sick people are just kids with troubles in their lives. They want to be noticed. I gotta feed my trolls.

    1. Nintendo is so casual these days. I fear for what might become of Zelda U…I doubt they’d even offer a tough option to play (hero mode doesn’t count) and not to mention that they could make Zelda U cheap with a Link, Ganondorf or Zelda amiibo. Tap your Zelda amiibo to get a heart piece sensor three hours per day! Tap your Link amiibo to deal twice the damage and receive a quarter of it three hours per day! Tap the Ganondorf amiibo for extra rupees daily! Also, I’m pretty sure they’re gonna bring back that Sheikah stone that shows you all the videos of how to ge tthrough puzzles, as they’ve been here to stay since OoT: 3D

        1. Not yet, there’s still a bit of hope. Meanwhile, wanna see something I found and on-topic with the article in a way? lol.

  2. This is fucking terrible… on the bright side at least amiibos are starting to be used in games better with games like mario party 9 smash brothers, codename steam, and something else im forgetting

  3. That’s a great move, Nintendo!

  4. but you just get more lives if you fail??? nintendo please release an amiibo based game because most of these game functions are embarasingly stupid… are you even trying?

  5. I have yet to use a single amiibo in a single game. I can’t bring myself to open any. Even ones that I have two of.

  6. “No longer will you be relegated to just using the Captain Toad amiibo figure”

Good, because there IS NO CAPTAIN TOAD AMIIBO FIGURE. How can you know nothing about the products and get a job writing these?
