Square Enix Finally Adds Wii U And Nintendo 3DS To Their Recent Survey

You probably saw the survey going round from Square Enix asking gamers which game they would love the company to begin developing. Well that very same survey featured a number of platforms, but for whatever reason it neglected to mention the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS, which was rather odd as they had the Nintendo DS and Wii listed. Anyway, they’ve just added Nintendo’s current platforms. You can check out the survey, right here.

Thanks, Kyle

  1. WHAT IS THIS NOW?????…………Could Square Enix have something brewing up for the Wii U? A Kingdom Hearts 3 port for the Wii U perhaps?……Hmm?

    1. I would jump for joy if that happened. KH3 is the only PS4 game that so much as even interests me.

Too bad it won’t, because SE is full of stubborn idiots.

      1. You gotta have faith man just like Sony fans are trying to have faith that they will finally get a must have PS4 exclusive LOL

          1. And that’s a retarded choice of KH3 port. There is no fanbase there not ever will be since those “gamers” only buy typical shooters and gore. KH3 would’ve fit well with Wii U and see considerable sales.

        1. They did the porting of the Wii U version of Deus Ex Human Revolution: Director’s Cut and last I heard the Deus Ex franchise was owned by Square Enix

    2. Just finished. Make sure you pick KH for everything and say you want KH3 for Wii U. All caps as well to show you mean business.

        1. They just want damage control, if you noticed Vita isn’t on that list and Wii and DS are still there meaning these are systems they know their games can sell on

  2. SquareEnix. You will probably make steady great money with KH3 on WiiU and bravely default 2. So stop tripping.

  3. I never understood why Kingdom Hearts didn’t come to Wii or Wii U? The game just reeks of Nintendo charm. It would fit perfectly on Nintendo consoles.

    1. I agree. The game would sell tremendously well on Nintendo platforms. I don’t know why Square Enix doesn’t see that

      1. Yeah I heard something about that but one of the developers said something about how that was taken out of context. I think he was saying something about how the engines were only built for X86 architecture and that porting from that to the Wii U’s architecture would be extremely difficult or something like that

        1. I hate that excuse. “It’d be hard to port for Wii U” like consoles of all previous gens ran under the same OS and Nintendo broke the mold with the Wii U.

          1. As big of a nintendo fan as I am I think they are being truthful. It’s so easy to make games for Xbox one and ps4 because they are almost exactly the same. But the wii u is totally different because you have the gampad, the console is much weaker and many other things. It’s just too big of a hassle to put in on a console that you will have no idea if it will sell well or not

            1. Square should just get someone else to port it, like Tantalus and just say to Nintendo, “you want it, you fund it” or something. Can’t be that hard to do that.

              1. I agree. They SHOULD commission someone else to do the port for WiiU. No reason this game can’t be on WiiU.

  4. My survey was more or less a nagging statement about how the company should return to creating FF games in the vein of FFVI and FFVI, and how microtransactions and the like are painting the company in a negative light.

    1. Not really a mistake they just want damage control. If you noticed they left out Vita meaning these are platforms they know their games can sell

  5. I would buy any Chrono Trigger/Cross Sequel Squaresoft (fuck Enix) releases in a Nintendo platform no matter the price. Squaresoft (fuck Enix) do things right and take my money KTHX.

  6. So what was the one game you asked SE to to make? I torn between Mario RPG and Xenogears, but went with Xenogears in the end.

    1. Fear Effect, new or remade (for Wii U, of course). Really cool game. & its visuals don’t rely on hardcore photorealism, so it would stand out in the current market & play to Wii U’s strengths & its audience’s taste (but not just visually). Although, if REbirth looked good on GCN, Wii U can easily handle photorealism.

& being a PS1 game, it’d be a huge leap that Wii U could set the precedent for. Yeah, it might look better elsewhere, but that’s always the case. (Of course, that didn’t stop PS1 against N64, PS2 against GCN & Xbox, or Wii against PS360. Heavy multiplatting just had to make raw specs the deciding factor nowadays.)

I also mentioned FF IX HD for Wii U, FF VI for 3DS, & FF Tactics for whichever.

  7. I did the survey and ended up being asked loads of questions about ff games as that’s the only game id really liked from them and or had been playing recently from the lists i was given.

  8. it simple people just do the damn survey and put your honest opinion on it. I told them that FF franchise whent down the hill since FF9 and I wait for the sequel of Final Fantasy tactics and dissidia. I also mentionned that it will be either Wii U or PC other f*** it. And finally I told them I can wait for Dragon quest heores to arrive in the west

  9. That’s what I thought Square. Oh BTW, I bet they added the system names “late” to screw up their potential voting. I’m still not convinced that this was a “mistake”.
