Choice Provisions has expressed desire to see CommanderVideo from the Bit.Trip series be added to the Super Smash Bros. roster. The character already appears in the latest version of the fighting game as an unlockable trophy, but the developer wants him to be featured as a playable fighter as well. Formerly known as Gaijin Games, Choice Provisions regularly supports Nintendo platforms with several downloadable titles on the Nintendo eShop for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. If you want CommanderVideo to become a fighter, be sure to vote for him in the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot.
Commander Video is already a trophy in Smash Bros, though, so he’s probably the most likely out of all indie third-party characters. But being the most likely doesn’t mean he’s likely, though….

Or nah. King K. Rool everyone. I’m sure they’ll do more than one DLC character, but can we please have our priorities straight? It may just be me, but King K. Rool should be the main focus. If you want third party/indies, go for Shovel Knight or Shantae. At least have them FEEL Nintendo.

King K. Rool, Dixie Kong, Medusa, Hades, Isaac, Andy (from Advance Wars), Waluigi, Wonder Red, etc. there’s a huge list of characters that I think should come ahead of most indie characters. Definitely voted for King K. Rool already, he’d be awesome.

As much as I think CommanderVideo is a cool character, I just don’t think he earned his due yet nor is he as popular as Bayonetta, Shantae, Banjo-Kazooie, Rayman, Shovel Knight, or even Simon Belmont are. I think Choice Provisions should be grateful that Nintendo even considered to make their character as one of the unlockable trophies. I’m just waiting for Two Tribes to cast their bid for Toki Tori to be in Smash lol

Quite, that would be most amusing. Though now all these indies are sounding rather pathetic. I can understand them wanting their games to get more exposure, but all it does now is remind me of how annoying it is to see these people use Nintendo as their foothold to get attention after so many years of talking about how irrelevant and pointless they were. It’s funny how all these pathetic indie game studios want their characters in Smash. I am certain none of these characters have even a 1% chance of being considered. The main reason they want their characters in Smash is for marketing purposes, because low-budget indie titles generally sell poorly, especially Nintendo exclusives. The ballot doesn’t matter either, no indie title has enough support to get a good amount of votes. The vote is most likely going to end up being won by a Nintendo character or a popular third-party character owned by a big-budget company, like Rayman or Banjo.
