UK Charts: Xenoblade Chronicles 3D Slips Out Of Top Forty

This week’s UK charts are now in via GFK Chart Track. It hasn’t been a particularly interesting week this week. PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne manages to retain the top position with Battlefield Hardline close behind. There aren’t too many Nintendo titles in the top forty this week. 1. Yet again this shows Nintendo need to stop putting out one game a month on their home console it don’t make the Wii U worth while

    1. Yet again, it is not Nintendos fault, it is third-parties. Sony haven’t had an exclusive on the list for a month…

      1. Besides Bloodborne, you mean.
And yeah, totally not Nintendo’s fault for the lack of third party games when it’s 1) their responsibility to sell their console to increase the number of units in players hands which incentivizes 3rd parties to release games on it, and 2) also their responsibility to try to convince 3rd parties that their system is a good fit for their games, and at least try to show that they care about wanting 3rd party games on their system. Their track record in both departments speaks for itself for the past 3 years for the former, and almost FIFTEEN YEARS for the latter.

        1. @durpdurpdurp
Dude…. this is the most SPOT ON comment I’ve read on this site.
Absolutely hit the nail on the head.
          well done sir

      2. Sony built their machine for 3rd parties. Nintendo didn’t give a shit what 3rd parties needed, so no. Not third party’s fault.

Nintendo built hardware for themselves, and 3rd parties can play if they want. X1 and Sony did the opposite.

I’m not saying Nintendo was wrong in this, but if that’s how they want to play, then they need to drive the software.

        1. Because Nintendo is used to 3rd parties coming to them, not vice versa. Thats how it was with every Nintendo console. They have never actively pursued 3rd parties. And Honestly if the Wii U was actually a success, and was selling well, the 3rd parties would have come…

So yes, it is Nintendo’s fault..

          1. finally, people that can see nintendo for that they are. Nintendo has do everything perfectly like fanboys claim.

Nintendo really screwed up with the WIIU, little to no ads. not enough info to sell the difference.
Nintendo went after the casual player but they forgot casual people don’t buy new consoles every couple of years. Most of those families still have their WII collecting dusk under the tv. I have many friends that have kids and they all have wii’s and think its enough for the entertainment they want with their kids. Those people are not upgrading.

My brother just bought a WII off ebay not more than 6 months ago with 20 games for 100$. when it for just family night. Guess what, that is enough.

  2. The UK audiences are bums. Only shitty commercial games. If Bloodborne wasn’t heavily advertised it wouldn’t even be rated number 1.

    1. Except it’s a fantastic game and people are familiar with the previous Dark Souls game. Regardless, maybe that means that Nintendo’s advertising is lacking? Given their history in marketing their games and systems, I wouldn’t be surprised.

  3. Incoming Nintendo fanboys bitching about other peoples’ taste in video games. Queue the world’s smallest violin.

      1. lol opinions.
        lol subjectiveness.
lol there’s a shitload of people who fucking hate nintendo games, so yeah, let’s just continue to be petty and immature as well because it’s the internet.

        1. actually… you know what ? no. i will not bitch about it! i will let this happen.. i will let this shit crash and burn! can’t wait to see it :D

    1. woult not bitch about taste in games. however i will bitch about lazy developers from the third party side! and you are helping them make halfassed games and are joyfully playing them!

      1. firslty do you have the courage to let us know which country you are from? And making a generality on a country based on video game is just stupid. Please tell me you are 15 yo or less.

  4. :) I love watching hardly any Nintendo games on the top charts in UK! Keep fucking with us in the US and holding back LE releases, no standard New 3DS, etc. and instead lose money over in the UK as you pump shit out but that part of the world has clearly grown away from you, ha ha ha! BTW, enjoying my Sky3DS playing all my FREE 3DS/eShop games too :D

    1. pump shit out?… Are you retarded? The lone game i could give a shit about on a Nintendo system was release a month ago in the US, while everbody else is still fucking waiting. Don’t be so surprised Nintendo is failing over here when they release next to nothing, and expect people buy lame trash like the WiiU, Mario Party or shitty happy meal toys. This company is fuck irrelevant for good reason!

  5. I live in the UK and I can say that most people I know only play FIFA and Call of Duty. That said, I think the reason Xenoblade Chronicles 3D’s sales went down is because it came out on a system without as large of a user base as the other consoles here. Most people who bought the New 3DS may have bought XC3D in the first week. (I ran to town to get my copy and I was got there before the store opened)

  6. Like someone said above, The U.K. only buys games that are heavily advertised. You could shit in a game case, advertise the hell out of it next to Mountain Dew and Doritos, and the human shit in a case would make the top forty list in the U.K…

  7. U.K. has the worst taste in games in the world. Worse than the U.S.. Worse than Germany. Worse than Japan. Worse than France, Ethiopia, Artic Circle, Mexico, Pluto, Mars, Uranus..
