Rumour: Paper Mario Wii U In Development By Intelligent Systems?

There’s one big rumour circulating around Japanese message board 2Chan which claims that Paper Mario is currently in development for Wii U and is being developed by Intelligent Systems. The brochure above was handed out at a Japanese job expo booth, which is apparently proof that the person below was at the event. If it is legitimate then it’s likely to be officially announced during E3 next month. It could either be a new game or a remaster of an existing one. Guess we shall have to wait to find out.

        1. Starfox will most likely replace Zelda but I honestly believe that rumor about Diddy Kong Racing 2 possibly being this year at E3

        2. That would be Xenoblade X, actually.
Even if it came out within the next two months or so, its apparently got enough to do to last well into the holidays.XD

      1. Honestly though, a Paper Mario for Wii U would be so underwhelming if that was the next big holiday game. I would absolutely buy it, and probably like it, but underwhelming for sure…. Lets hope this isnt the case..

        1. That’s super depressing that we wont get anything open world in the likes of Mario 64 or Sunshine. Those are definitely two fan favorite games, I don’t know why they’re so hesitant to make something in that style again.

    1. 1) it could come next year 2) they did say something could come in place of Zelda this year 3) believe it or not the paper mario/mario kart/ and Mario sports, and Mario party (which did come this year) games are considered different IP then something like Mario 64, 3D, sunshine or galixy

  1. Companies need to get out of the habit of remastering games that were released after 2000. I really hope it’s a new title. The other ones don’t need a touch up. They’re supposed to look like they’re made out of paper. It’s pretty hard to eff that up.

  2. Fingers CROSSED! Let’s hope it’s more like Thousand-Year Door and less like Sticker Star, though. I liked SS okay but it was a lot more of a PC adventure game than an RPG.

  3. PLEASE be like the original or TTYD!

Or if it’s not like the, don’t half-ass concepts like you did with Sticker Star!

Definitely not one of Miyamoto’s best ideas. It would have been a great idea… for something that wasn’t Paper Mario.

      2. Actually, Miyamoto didn’t “force” Intelligent Systems to do anything. He’s always getting blamed for IS’s shitty job on Sticker Star. All Miyamoto did was give suggestions and ask questions. He ASKED the team behind Sticker Star to consider if it needed an epic story like the other Paper Mario games. He ASKED the team to consider whether or not there needed to be partners like in the other games. He ASKED them to consider whether there needed to be a leveling system like in the other games. Paper Mario is my favorite game series of all time and yes, Sticker Star was horrible. But you need to place the blame on the people that deserve it which in Sticker Stars case would be Intelligent Systems. All Miyamoto did was give the Sticker Star team some ideas to mull over. How they chose to implement those ideas was all their own doing.

  5. Even though Nintendo said no main Mario games THIS YEAR it doesn’t mean they can announce new ones for 2016/2017

      1. I actually liked Sticker Star. Then again it was my first Paper Mario game so I guess I’m a little more forgiving.

          1. I wouldn’t go that far…
The gsmeplay was stellar. It was the lack of story that made SS worse than other PM games.
On the flip side, Other M had great gameplay (outside of missle mechanics) but their portrayal of Samus was an awful one based off a non-canon comic storyline.

            1. Pretty much this. They’re considered failures compare to the prequels, but they’re are both good games (other M and Sticker Star.)

        1. Dude play Super Paper Mario or the original Paper Mario! Those games are infinitely better. I was so disappointed by Sticker Star after finishing up Super Paper Mario

      1. The only thing super paper mario fuck up with is the fighting system. there was no turn base. and it made some of the battles easy and kinda took out the effort and thought process. However, the story was phenomenal. Whereas sticker star fucked up completely by using stickers as offense and defense selections. I mean, it could have been done right if everything wasn’t so OP. for instance, a regular boot jump does like. 7 damage or more with shiny or mega stickers. it would have been nice if they kept it as the standard two jump. and they removed the leveling system for the sticker bullshit, and the object stickers were great except for the fact that you needed specific ones that you needed to guess for to defeat the boss, and when you use it. you completely obliterate the boss, or render them incompetent, making it easy. because otherwise the boss is unbeatable.
Not to mention the shit story. Bowser was only the enemy of a paper mario game ONCE. which was the first one, and they did a good job with it. then as the series went on, better enemies came about, now we’re just back to square one. bowser gains some power that no one has ever heard of and gets his ass beat for it.

What does it say? I believe that you can read Japanese, I’m just wondering what it actually says

      1. This picture just lists all their games on the different Nintendo platforms they made. The only one listed under Wii U is Game & Wario. It continues to list their games for N3DS, Wii and Wii Ware titles, Gamecube games, DS, DSi, Gameboy Advance, 64, and SNES. I don’t really understand what this picture is trying to prove…

    2. The brochure doesn’t say because they didn’t announce it there. Some employee of Intelligent Studios casually dropped the info to the poster. That’s how the story goes, at least :)

  6. Nintendo said E3 is only about games coming out this year so if this is true then it’s coming out this year an I can’t wait for it.

  8. It’s easy to get excited when there is rumour of ANYTHING new on WiiU. Because anything rumoured to be released is another reason to put off trading the machine in on a PS4.

        1. That’s true, but just because the Wii U isn’t the King or consoles it doesn’t mean its not worth playing :)

Yes they messed up project café in 2008. TEll us something we don’t know already for gosh sakes like is the NX going to have specs as good as ps5 or just a little bit more powerful than ps4 then by the time next Sony console arrives NX will be like wii u? That’s what everyone like journalist and others want to know. Not old news you been saying since 2012.

            2. I stand corrected. But we all know Xbox One is pure shit, a ripoff DVR scam that’s flammable with one of the worst specs and non-durable designs yet since CD-i.

            3. Ridley, the Angel of Death

It’s okay, Anubis. *pats him on the head* It’s okay, boy. We know you love the Wii U. *shoves a doggy treat in his mouth* Now go run free & play!

        2. PS4 is more akin to a budget PC, rather than a console.

PS4 uses x86 architecture (which is not ideal for gaming in the 1st place)
          Uses off-the-shelf parts
Overemphasizes graphics (w/ out a major leap but only because multiplats are so prevalent)
Its library of titles has more in common w/ what’s available on PC (both in multiplats, genres, & how those genres are treated)
Most of PS4’s ports begin on PC & are not very optimized for PS4, or they need very little optimization due to the similarity of both platforms.

I know consoles are computers, but they are dedicated to gaming & running optimized software. However, PCs (specifically x86) were designed for multiple tasks, gaming being somewhat of a byproduct rather than the focus. While PS4 might focus more on games, the hardware is ill-equipped to provide an optimal gaming experience, @ least compared to PowerPC (which is also newer tech from the early 90s, whereas x86 is from the 70s).

That news about X86 not good for gaming doesn’t’ means nothing. PS4 is over 20 million. While the Power 7 which is supposed to be better for gaming is barely above 10million. That old 2012 news like off shelve parts doesn’t mean nothing anymore. Power is what matters. which is why PS4 doesn’t need games to sell. It’s the stereotype of it being the most powerful console on the market is why it is selling. Even if WIi U can match ps4 graphically. Stereotype sells 2015 consoles.

            1. “Stereotype sells 2015 consoles.”

*Sterotypes & style over substance sell budget PCs in 2014 & beyond.

This is less a #s game & more about semantics. But I’d rather see Nintendo fail for what they are than succeed for what they are not. & if they can profit while providing console experiences, I’m happy. But what Sony, MS, & most 3rd parties began in 7th gen is not console-gaming, & is not only killing console-gaming but killing themselves. Because of their lack of concern toward the console subculture of gaming, we have rampant multiplatting, graphics whoring @ a bigger degree than ever before, microtransactions AND less in-box content, etc. Console gaming was profitible before, while still maintaing its integrity & fundamentals. But once MS decided to enter the arena, they’ve corrupted console-gaming & turned it more into PC-gaming (& Hollywood), & gimped @ that.

Maybe I take gaming too seriously, or I started gaming before the unholy shift in 7th gen, but PS4 & X1 are not true consoles. To some degree, neither is Wii U, but it’s close, making it the only 8th gen console. & both PS4 & PS3 are nothing like PS2 & the original PS. Love it, hate it, or be in the middle, but it doesn’t change the fact that PS4 & X1 are only offering console experinces w/ PSN, Xbox LIVE Arcade, & indies.

              1. Jtz from Gad tribe

Yeah well as much as PS4 or Xbox are supposed to be killing console gaming somehow 12 month old GTAV is still top ten best sellers. Somehow COD is still top ten best sellers. Somehow after December 25th Smash bros starTed getting further and further away from top 10 best sellers. Why is that?

                1. “Yeah well as much as PS4 or Xbox are supposed to be killing console gaming somehow 12 month old GTAV is still top ten best sellers. Somehow COD is still top ten best sellers.”

Those titles aren’t the best examples of console-gaming, especially when they represent the 2 most over-used genres–Open World & FPS–& both games implement the most over-used aesthetic (photorealism). Even full PC-gaming has more variety.

As for consoles, their games are supposed represent a wide mix of genres & aesthetics, & focus on gameplay. Of course 1 or 2 genres & maybe an aesthetic will dominate, but publishers are largely ignoring the majority of genres & heavily favoring 1 aesthetic. Seems their business model is biased & their console integrity tarnished; certainly they’ve strayed outside the console subculture. Worse, the “AAA” model is a strain. Sure, if successful, the payoffs could be huge. But they must hedge their bets, devoting all their resources in a mere handful of titles, multiplat them everywhere they can, hold back on contentn. Many times, games that reach the top of the popularity charts still have a long way to go before profitability is achieved. So they rely cut features instead of simply being more conservative w/ graphics, incorporate microtransactions & services like Unity & U-play, & offer day-1 DLC or crappy DLC, a glut of cutscenes &/or QTEs, etc. Digital distribution should’ve been enough to boost profits on an already profitable industry, but now they focus on graphics & “power”, so they crave even more profits. The industry’s been hijacked & consumers gave them the keys.

Sony & 3rd parties certainly alienated me. Ubisoft alone has deprived me, & others, of Red Steel 3, a new Prince of Persia, a new 3D Rayman, & a new Buck Bumble (I know, so old). That’s 1 FPS but w/ an abstract aesthetic & swordplay; 2 3D platformers but each w/ different play-styles, tones, & aesthetics; & a 3D 3rd-Person Shooter but w/ flight mechanics & an interesting atmosphere. Then there are games they simply published (& maybe promoted) like No More Heroes, SMH2, & Tenchu: Shadow Assassins. Now? 1 2D Rayman, ZombiU, & Child of Light are somehow the exceptions to their new norm, which mostly consists of Open World, FPS, photorealism, & filler in the form of long & abundant cutscenes (far from the framing devices & cinematic GAMING experinces found in 6th gen).

Also, GTA V is prolly 1 of the few AAA titles that can actually justify its huge budget. CoD, however, requires annual releases & fewer changes. But consider Bioshock a dead franchise, or shelved indefinitely due to the AAA craze. THQ went bust for chasing it, & Capcom is also called “crapcom” for a reason (several, actually, but AAA is 1 reason). But I’ve digressed…

“Somehow after December 25th Smash bros starTed getting further and further away from top 10 best sellers. Why is that?”

Prolly because the majority no longer want consoles & console-gaming, or @ least think they don’t. I mean, that’s what I said in my previous post. There’s also a stigma attached to colorful & abstract aesthetics, especially now & in the West. Add misinformation, marketing fumbles, & the age-related psychology of the largest demographic, & console-gaming has a tougher time returning to popularity (SEGA is practically dead, & Sony aligned itself w/ MS’s agenda in 7th gen [though looking @ Sony as a whole, they have some excuse). Personally, I dislike SSB, my last being Melee. I prefer 1-on-1, focused bouts. Sadly, those have been tainted by online parity. Sorry, I digressed again…

Like I mentioned before, no matter how popular the products are, they are not in the same subculture as console-gaming, but are more akin to PC-gaming, emphasis on ‘budget’. Had Wii U been more like PS4, & had PS4 been more like PS2, I’d definitely only have a Sony platform for 8th gen, unless X1 was more like Dreamcast. & I’m sure 3rd parties–if they were the same in that scenario as they are now–would treat that PS4 just like the actuall Wii U, unless there were 2 consoles instead of 1 & they refrained from their “AAA” addiction.

Anyway, again, popularity & #s are not the point. But if that’s what you want, then Nintendo has branched out into other gaming subcultures & a themepark to generate more profits while maintaining their support of console-gaming. & their 1st party games, @ least the heavy hitters like Mario & Pokémon, etc., generate more cost to profit ratio than most “AAA” titles that top the charts. Plus, as uphill a battle as Wii U has suffered post launch (which had better launch sales than 360’s launch sales), Wii U is generating profits & increasing its sales. But PS4 & X1 are in their own subcultures, & I wish, like PC charts, there’d be a distinction. Otherwise, might as well lump banana sales w/ kiwi sales. They’re both fruit, right? So that means they’re identical, right? Same look, same taste, same price, same popularity, same profitability? I say pistachios taste better, but you might say “yeah, but peanuts sell better, so they are superior.” Then I’d say “Aha! But peanuts are legumes, not nuts, & therefor should be itemized accordingly.” Or not.

                  1. *They’re both fruit, right? So that means THEY SHOULD BE identical, right? Same look, same taste, same price, same popularity, same profitability? I say pistachios taste better, but you might say “yeah, but peanuts sell better, so they are superior, THUS PISTACHIOS SHOULD EITHER TASTE LIKE PEANUTS, OR LEAVE THE MARKET.”

                  2. Jtz from Gad tribe

Yeah you have a point. I want a 3D platformer game that doesn’t have to obey the laws of nature. It’s been years since that happened. But all 3rd party focus on are games that must obey the laws of nature.

        4. Sadly the king hasn’t found its BIGGEST MUST HAVE GAME. Marketing has been big thing for the system, which is key. As a whole all three companies should be low in terms of software. I always picture the ps4 being around 15 million at this point, but marketing. Nintendo would be at a better place if they had better marketing

          1. jtz from tribe of Gad

Marketing has nothing to do with Wiiu sales. New 3DS marketing sucks too and it is either better or on par with PS4 sales. So why does nintendos’ bad marketing have no affect on one console but the other? And don’t bring up, “because handhelds are popular” because why is the PS4 doing good and Vita not then? And don’t bring up, “Because Vita is expensive and has no games” because the same is for the PS4.

            1. Bullshit. And I’ll say it again, its not the power. gaming lord speaks truth, they marketed that piece of shit for movies only system, I still hear people around my town saying “I wished that I should have waited on the PS4”. Why? It’s quite obvious, NO MOTHER FUCKING GOOD GAMES. At least Mortal Kombat X is trying to keep both xbox one and ps4 afloat.

              1. Why was the NES successful?
It was far more powerful than anything that came before it

                Why was the SNES successful?
It was far more powerful than anything that came before it

                Why was the N64 memorable?
It was far more powerful than anything that came before it, sparking the 3D craze

Why was the GameCube fondly remembered by practically everyone?
                It was powerful

You know why power = success? Because it means games can include so much more content, have orchestral soundtracks, etc. Can you imagine a game like Super Mario Bros 3 running on an Atari 5600? Remember during E3 2014, when Aunonma (I don’t know how to spell it right lol) said that the Zelda team always wanted to make an open world game, but was limited by the power of the consoles up till now, with the Wii U? Same logic.

                1. Why was the NES successful?
It was far more powerful than anything that came before it

More like it was the only thing around besides the arcade, plus it was home based. Atari started it, nintendo finished it.

                  Why was the SNES successful?
It was far more powerful than anything that came before it

no surprise there since it was new and nothing was around until 1991, if I remember correctly, the SNES came around 1989 ending year until the 1990.

                  Why was the N64 memorable?
It was far more powerful than anything that came before it, sparking the 3D craze

Excuse you sir but play station started the 3d craze, nintendo was memorable due to the fact of mario himself.

Why was the GameCube fondly remembered by practically everyone?
                  It was powerful

No, not because it was powerful, it was because of the same fucking thing, Mario, Smash bros melee had that grip as much as Mario Sunshine, zelda, and any other 3rd party that helped support it.

I’ll say it again, Power doesn’t mean shit, its all about how you ADVERTIZE AKA MARKETING.

I also said this too…”Power is useless if you don’t know how to use it”.

                  1. Jtz from Gad tribe

Advertising? Mario is the face of gaming. Their consoles should sell like PS4 sales with no games needed. I say it’s power that sales consoles. If the NX is as powerful as PS5 and sill can’t sell then you right advertising. But if the NX can sell 6 million in one year then I’m right power was the reason. Other wise what’s the point of the NX being more powerful than the Wii U if power isn’t the reason?

                    1. & yet it was the original PlayStation (32 bits) that sold better than the N64 (64 bits), & for a higher price, albeit the price of software between the 2 was the opposite. Not only did N64 have the advantage of raw power, it featured 4 controller ports, introduced a thumbstick & rumble, & it’s “power” could be enhanced a bit further w/ the Expansion Pak. Oh, & N64 had exclusives like, you know, Super Mario 64, Zelda: OoT, Banjo Kazooie… Still, none of that could push N64 sales to the heights that the original PlaySation reached.

& it was PS2 that sold better than GameCube. GCN was more “powerful” & easier to dev for, while PS2 was “weaker” & harder to dev for than the N64. But all Sony had do to was
                      Add a DVD function,
Besmirch Dreamcast (& watch while SEGA sadly dropped the ball themselves),
Market PS2 (as sexy, cool, & “adult”),
Rely on the already established PlayStation brand,
& beat Nintendo (the only other healthy & relevant brand @ the time), to the market.
Even the original Xbox garnered more sales than GCN, albeit by only a few million.

Wii was the sales leader for quite a while in 7th gen, & even 360 had better sales than PS3 for a while. But eventually Ninendo dropped the ball, Sony dropped PS3’s price, & more devs learned PS3’s architecture.

But it’s now a multiplats game for the twin/PC subculture, & thus power is what matters, that & price. Also, Sony saved face w/ PS3, & that helped PS4’s sales. I’m sure there were quite a few Sony fans who gamed on 360 because they were miffed @ PS3’s price & insane jump in power. Apparently, PS4 wooed them back.

Either way, “power” is subjective & only part of the equation of success. & to me, Wii U has the hardware it needs to host great games. A shame the politics & majority are doing something else somewhere else. That’s why Nintendo needs to strengthen the subculture they seem to have inherited after SEGA & Sony left. Nintendo just needs to buy & partners w/ more studios, & maybe buy a few IPs from SEGA & Capcom. Nintendo basically has a monopoly now, bit they need to fill in some gap & paint a picture for them showing how FPSes & Open Worlds should be done, @ least on Wii U. Oh, huh. Still, AAAs will prevent 3rd parties from making their own inspirations of those games, & I doubt architecture has anything to do w/ it. Either way, 3rd parties have pretty much abandoned the previous subculture, & I for 1 will NOT be persuaded to go all in w/ them, & I hope Nintendo stands their ground & strengthens what the rest have left behind. They could start by hiring someone other than a plumber to keep the pollution @ bay, but still keep the plumber just for fun. Ah, who am I kidding, all their mascots should be fun & viewtiful. Although…

I kinda wish the darkness would be eternal, maybe something more, mm, fatal, like 7 killers. Well, maybe in a mad world or if I’m trapped in a house of the dead, but right now, there are no more heroes for me (except Nintendo & indies). No tombs to raid, just a chick who shoots & gets maimed. No evil residents scary enough to run from; too easy to survive when ammo’s everywhere. No epic fantasies, seems it’ll never be my turn based on the recent games. The hill grows silent but Nintendo is not so alone or in the dark.

                    2. Mario might be the face of gaming, but apparently most consumers are apathetic to mascots & colorful characters & games. Mario’s 2D Platformers, 3D Platformers, Kart Racers, RPGs, Sports SIMS…they aren’t @ the top of the majority’s list. Crash Bandicoot, Sly Cooper, Rayman, Earthworm Jim, Spyro, & the genres they represented are no longer in such high favor. Even Banjo, Kazooie, & Conker, as much as fans want them, have fallen from the favor they once had, though I mostly blame that on their absence & the naïvety of new gamers. Now roided out soldiers & even Batman (is Bane under that cowl?) are all the rage.

There is now a stigma attached to colorful, anthropomorphic things, especially for teens & tweens, and anyone insecure w/ their social standing. Or some people just prefer something else. Mario isn’t going to attract everyone anyway, & he certainly didn’t propel the sales of N64 (most “powerful” 5th gen console), GCN (most “powerful” 6th gen console), & Wii U (1st & only 8th gen console) past the competition’s sales: I’d even say Mario was only part of the reason for Wii’s success (motion controls & marketing being the biggest reasons, & then it’s conservative jump in power which eased hardware & dev costs). Just like marketing: it all depends on how people perceive it & how many share in that perspective, whether it’s factual, or based on misnomers or misinformation, the crowd will go where they go. That’s why marketing is important, & sadly why bending the truth or flat out lies (however sweet), & mudslinging are so successful. & both Sony & Microsoft dabble in more than just games & can use their other sectors to manipulate. Consoles are ultimately toys, but Heaven forbid they get marketed that way. Nintendo’s more about wholesome fun & quality products. The others, well, hyperbolically speaking, get down & dirty & sell cheap fixes; again, an exaggeration, but not so far from the truth these days).

The 1st Bayonetta should’ve sold like hotcakes when it was on PS360. Beyond Good & Evil should of sold well, too, especially since it was on GCN, PS2, & Xbox. Shows like Firefly, the Thundercats reboot, & Sym-Bionic Titan should never have been cancelled, @ least so soon. Yet, these critically & viewer acclaimed shows were cancelled. Oops, those shows have nothing much to do w/ computer power, & are worthless. Or, maybe they do have to do w/ power & failed because they weren’t on par w/ Hollywood’s visual standards. Being on the bleeding edge is costly, but luckily, true power lies not in graphics or hardware, but how that power is used. & that goes hand in hand w/ perception, but luckily not every product needs to top the charts to profit. Shareholders be damned!

They wished they had waited for a PS4 and yet COD Ghost, GTA V are top 10 best sellers longer than Smash bros. So those fellows you claim should have waited, they must be buying something. Wii U only has one game in top 20 on adverage. First top 5 are usually PS4 and Xbox One tittles .

                  1. Jtz from Gad tribe

GTA V and COD may have fallen but Smash Bros fell of charts faster. Not even a year out and already off top ten charts. And GTA V isn’t even advertised anymore for over a year and still top 5 on adverage. Yet people keep blaming advertising is the reason when it’s power.

              1. Jtz from Gad tribe

Will if it Banjo comes out and it’s a real Banjo game and it’s reviews are 9/10 I’ll get the Xbox one.

  9. Am I the only one who rather see a game that harkens back to Super Mario RPG on the SNESS? Probably, but it would be cool to see that, and them make it fully polygon.

  10. Secrets to making great Paper Mario Wii U game Nintendo???……It’s simple……..use the formulas from both Paper Mario 64 and Thousand Year Door and add a little twist of something new and VOILA…..A MASTERPIECE……I really hope this is what Nintendo is planning with the Wii U version

    1. you and me both. I didn’t like the freestyle Super Paper Mario had because they got rid of the RPG style that made paper mario, Sticker star was all random dream like hassle like the flying at the end cheep cheep or the luigi running away after you found him.

  11. I sure hope it’s false because..
1 – Sticker Star was horse shit.
2 – Other IPs deserve some attention now, i.e. ADVANCE WAR & METROID.
3 – IDGAF about the WiiU. More 3ds game, pls.

  12. jtz from tribe of Gad

Make that year 2025. There is no telling what Sony has up their sleeve with Ps5 in R&D.

            1. Jtz from Gad tribe

Like getting rid of arena stages for MK8. Or making you limited to one item. Who’s dumb idea was that?

            2. Jtz from Gad tribe

Or replacing purple pikmin for useless rock pikmin. Or putting less creatures in the game compared to Pikmin 1 and . Or getting rid of underground tunnels and getting rid of collecting treasure besides apples and grapes.

              1. Rock Pikmin aren’t useless and they cause more damage to enemies. But Pikmin 3 did in fact feel a little less than Pikmin 2 which the 3rd is my first Pikmin game.

      1. You hate on Sony and Mircrosoft, but I see you commenting on channels like RTU, who talks about those companies, literally all the time. Care to give any excuse for that?

        1. RTU actually talks about Nintendo quite a bit and besides I had a Xbox One (in which I sold recently) and not to mention I own a gaming PC. For your information I don’t hate on Microsoft that much but Sony on the other hand….well that’s a different story. So long as you ponies keep spewing that bullshit about Nintendo and Nintendo fans you will catch hell from me and that’s a promise

  13. Let’s hope so! What’s going to be shown at E3 this year? Star Fox? I hope they don’t show sh*t that’ll already be out – Splatoon, Xenoblade, Yoshi (which will be out in a month)

  14. Good, I hope it isn’t like the last two installments, they were both were shitty.

Oh, and Zelda isn’t getting replaced, it was just delayed.

Do your fucking research, noobs. ;)

  16. if thay do make it

    please

for the love of quality games

dont make it like sticker star make it like thousend year door
or at the very least super paper mario

  17. I wonder why Nintendo keeps sticking to the Paper formula? I have nothing against the Paper Mario series. They’re all great. But I’m surprised they haven’t tried something else. Even a LEGO Mario game (or LEGO Zelda. But I’m talking Mario right now). The ONLY thing I have against the Paper Mario series is that, well……nothing really. I just sometimes feel aggravated because they don’t return to the style of Super Mario RPG. That game was SO awesome! They really need to make a standard 3D Super Mario RPG again.

  18. I think a Paper Mario: TTYD 2 would make sense. They never gave much information about the 4 heroes that once sealed away the demon before Mario did. I believe it was a koopa, a goomba, a boo and another? I forget. I should play it again. But the possibilities are endless!

  19. Anything but similar to sticker star… Have it more like ttyd… Da BADGEs… And the story and everything!!

  20. If it’s a remaster, I hope it’s TTYD with some extra content and the same lighting effect seen in games like Wind Waker HD and such to make it feel more new.

  21. Would be a day 1 purchase for me. I’m not the biggest RPG-fan, especially not round based. But Paper Mario 2 was one the really, really good games out there. They should totally throw this on the WiiU VC playable on the Gamepad, would be the perfect game to play befor turning off the lights and go to sleep. Or actually between turning off the lights and going to sleep.

E.T would be so good in this game. I mean Best game of the year goes to E.T for the Atari

  28. A return to form for the Paper Mario series would be a dandy addition to Wii U’s library.

Although, maybe my wish for another Paper Mario 2 is what’s setting the more recent titles up for failure.
