Check Out Some Gameplay Footage Of 90’s Arcade Racer For The Wii U

It’s been a long time coming for 90’s Arcade Racer, but looks like they’re making some leeway! They’ve just released the latest gameplay footage for the Wii U. 90’s Arcade Racer is a Kickstarter funded game that raised £16,039 in pledges, which reminisces in old school racing games, most notably Daytona USA, but is modern and well handled. It originally was meant to release back in 2013, then 2014 and still no release date in sight, but it looks like we may finally get to play it soon! Are you looking forward to this game?

Thanks, N-Dub Nation

  1. Never heard of this game, looks good but the graphics definitely aren’t pushing the system. But of course over graphics is gameplay, and it looks fun, not sure I’ll pick it up cause I’m not a big racer fan. But if you like racers it looks good. Oh and just saying that track in the bedroom really reminds me of Ribbon Road in Mario kart 8 DLC 2.

    1. Well, Caped Crusader… the focus is basically an arcade racing game based on the past arcade racers that SEGA’s AM2 had developed in the 1990’s. Once you try The 90’s Arcade Racer is launched at the eShop, I’m sure you’ll have a good time playing it. It may not have the flash or an epic replay value like Mario Kart 8, but the 90’s Racer would be a great addition in the racing genre.

    1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

      >>>You said you were done with Nintendo and you were going to sell all Nintendo related objects>>>

  2. I also really like that in this older footage, this is apparently a nod to Sonic Adventure’s Emerald Coast with the whale (47 sec). What do you think?

    1. I love it, Jackyanne. The indie team at Pelikan13x have truly gotten my attention since day 1. A true spiritual successor to previous SEGA arcade racing games of the past. It’s awesome they’re bringing the 1990’s back on the Wii U as well as PC and smart devices.

  3. There’s just something about that drifting that feels so sweet. Gimme a price, and I’ll be ready to buy. This could be kart racing substitute I need.

  4. It looks fantastic. I hope there’s enough tracks and vehicles to choose from. Fair play to Pelikan13x.

  5. That actually looks really good.
I know it wasn’t a great game. But DAM I loved Cruisin USA. Would love to play that again

  6. The only racing games I ever liked (besides Mario Kart of course) is the N64’s Cruisi’n series (Cruis’n USA, Cruis’n World and Cruis’n Exotica). I’d love to see Nintendo remake this trilogy in HD (on a retail Wii U disc).

  7. A fascinating discussion is worth comment.I believe that
you should write more about this issue, it might nott be a
taboo matter but usually people do not speak about these subjects.
To the next! All the best!!
