Physical Release Of Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Confirmed For Wii U

Not only has the Wii U stretch goal been achieved for Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night, but we will also be getting a physical version of the game. The Wii U version of the game is being developed by Armature Studio’s and will include a host of additional features including Wii U Pro Controller support, a map on the Wii U GamePad and the ability to draw on the map to mark certain things. There will also be off-TV play, Miiverse integration and finally it supports Mii’s.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

    1. So you only care because it has a wiiu release, not because a legendary director and team is making the game? Pathetic.

    1. Pretty brilliant marketing…. Raise a ton of money from true gamers first. Then you reveal the wiiu stretch goal so that the nintendrones that didn’t care before all start throwing money at the kickstarter. The comments support my theory. We all know nintendrones don’t use steam or own any other consoles!

  1. I was telling everyone that if a Wii U version gets confirmed that it will certainly get a physical copy just like the PS4, Xbox One, & PC are. Aww…….it feels good to be right. Day one buy for me

Awesome!! Armature Studios is the independent offshoot company from Retro Studios (who made Metroid Prime). Armature was also responsible for the amazing looking Maverick Hunter game that sadly got canceled by Capcom.

Maybe Maverick Hunter could be picked up by Nintendo as a 3rd party exclusive title!?!?

  3. Finally some great news! I am looking forward to this game and even more so now that we’ve gotten so much confirmation. I hope it delivers.

  5. Aww yeeeesssss. First Mighty No. 9 and now this. My body is so ready. Now the physical releases of Shovel Knight and Retro City Rampage need to have a release date and Yooka-Laylee needs to confirm a non-PC physical version. Maybe now more Kickstarter and “indie” devs can see that people want and will support physical versions and for them to not be cheap bastards and actually throw some funds towards making a legit copy of the game they worked so hard on (even if its just a DRM-Free PC version)

So I havent really payed much attention to this outside of the fact that its a Castlevania spiritual succesor, but is it a linear style CS or is it designed to be a huge “Metroidvania” style adventure?

    1. Castlevania has never really been linear, but this is going to be bigger than any of the castlevania games (one of the stretch goals) so it will probably have even more open ended exploration.
