We are all looking forward to seeing the unveiling of Platinum Games new project next week. Initially there weren’t too many hints regarding what they’re working on. However, video game website GameKyo says that their next game is titled Transformers Devastation and will be a multiplatform release. One thing to note is the platforms that are listed do not include the Wii U, which is similar to their last project The Legend of Korra.
The disappointment of the century. Not because of the game not coming to Wii U, but because of the game itself.

You can’t dismiss how vital religion is to our culture, though. The Greeks had their gods, the Romans had their gods, the Norse had their gods, Hyrule has their gods, every Fire Emblem continuity has their gods, and some people in the modern age has their gods. Mythology is important to every culture, even the modern one, and it can tell a lot about its people for historians in the future.
I mean, our culture reflects modern mythology. People believe in Santa, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, a higher God or gods, etc, and our culture reflects that in film, television , and other forms of entertainment.
Roman gods reflect the people’s need to explain aspects of life. The importance of nature and common good morals are reflected in the myths. The same can be said for Greek gods and Egyptian gods, particularly surrounding the importance of the Nile. It reflects their culture in history.
Don’t dismiss modern mythology, but see how or why it’s part of a culture in general and what it says about us for future generations. I mean, we don’t laugh at Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, etc for believing in higher beings, but we appreciate the stories they told. Modern mythology has already inspired games like Binding of Isaac, so yeah.

Looks amazing! I’m guessing that it’s a timed exclusive for Microsoft and then it will come to the PS4. That’s how I’ll be getting it of course and this could end up being the best Transformers game out there! The series has a superb track record so far with the War for Cybertron series and even the movie cash in titles being solid.

English is not my first language, but it feels to me that ‘looks like’, which is the actual idiom used in the headline, carries more conviction that ‘looks as thought’, right? As far as I know, Platinum is internally organized in three main teams: Kamiya’s team (which develops the games Kamiya signs as a director), a secondary team about the same size (which I think was in charge of Bayonetta 2 and maybe Metal Gear Rising) and their small team. That last one was the team that developed Korra and probably this, if it turns out to be a Platinum game.
