Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem Releasing In North America In 2016

During the E3 Digital Event, we got a new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem— developed by Atlus– which you can watch above. It features cinematics as well as some gameplay, and some pretty funky music. The release date was confirmed to be 2016 for North America. What did you think of the trailer?

  1. This e3 was terrible. Fuck you Nintendo I have been a die hard fan all my life and you said you were changing but I can see that’s bullshit after this e3. I’m gonna buy a ps4.

I’m done as well. I’m buying a PS4 soon too. Nintendo pissed me off so much with this E3 Direct, I’m just done. Glad I watched Sony’s conference. I am now excited for the actual NEW games they are getting. I have an Xbox One, right now and I’m just going to go play some Elder Scrolls online.

Screw Nintendo, if it wasn’t for Smash Bros. and Splatoon, I would chuck my Wii U out the window.

I love Smash Bros and I love Splatoon, so I have to keep my Wii U for those games. Other than that… it’s dead to me.

I expected a LOT from Nintendo at E3 this year. a REAL new Metroid game, a REAL New Animal Crossing game for Wii U, a Star Fox game that looks “good” and not bland, a new IP, some 3rd party exclusives.

Instead we got the most underwhelming pieces of crap I have ever seen. Severely disappointing. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nintendo’s stock drop after this. People all over the internet are in shock over how terrible Nintendo’s E3 direct was.

          1. but they said only games for this year and early 2016 they have been saying this for weeks months how could you even believe that a New Metroid . as for Animal Crossing im no fan but that game looks to be easier made and thats the only game

            1. Umm they didnt discuss or even show a clip of devils third at all and that is launching in August. So that theory is out the window.

              1. An exclusive online multiplayer that looks MUCH more polished than last e3, and not even a mention? Gimme a break

        1. I just said I was a die hard Nintendo fan. Keep in mind e3 is the BIGGEST EVENT IN GAMING every year. What did showed would’ve been disappointing in a regular event (minus a few games). I’m keeping my Wii U but I see a ps4 coming soon especially for street fighter and kingdom hearts

  2. More fucking idol crap.
Why is it so hard to get that the crowd that likes SMTIV and FE:A doesn’t care for FUCKING IDOL CRAP?

      1. I don’t see how not knowing anything about the STORY means that the VISUALS, MUSIC and TONE we’re being shown aren’t completely inconsistent with both of the things the game is supposed to be based on.

          1. Again, not knowing anything about the story doesn’t erase the cheesy visuals, the pop idol music or the scrawny animu teen girls in panties, the tone of this game is set whether you want to admit it it or not, and any criticism on that regard is entirely valid.

  3. Will buy day one because I like rpgs and it reminds me of persona and since we know a little more about the game that’s good but there is still much to learn

  4. I really like the persona games so I am looking forward to see more info about this game. Atlus games usually are really good.

  5. Just call it Fire Emblem X Weeaboo nonsense. Cause i see nothing of SMT nothing! Screw you Nintendo.

    1. 1. Go to gamexplains first video and they give a lot of info and of course read the comments
      2. we still don’t know shit about this game so wait until more info is talked about

  6. Nintended was the worst out of all the companies.
2014 was way better. I can’t believe it. It felt like they have focused more on the 3ds than Wii U.
They should have done the opposite.

  7. I REALLY need to see gameplay, because so far this seems like an anime fan-service game. And I have yet to see any elements from FE or SMT outside of character references. :(

    1. I’m not even really that familiar with either franchise. I only played through like the first part of Fire Emblem Awakening and I haven’t touched a SMT game before so it doesn’t bother me too much. I just think it looks really cool because I love anime. :)

      1. SMT is actually pretty dark. The first one I played was SMT: IV, but I loved it! Now Devil Survivor which is it’s own series is more of a SRPG and a little less dark, but still fun. This game looks like a Persona title, which is fine since Persona is pretty good too, but I actually hope in this case that the anime elements don’t overwhelm the game and take away from gameplay.

  8. this is one of this game which should have been release back in 2014 I do believe. I do remember an extract here of Nintendo France getting ready for that game back in 2013…. Well Zelda is 2 years late anyway why not that game.

  9. Ridley 4 Smash DLC!

If this isn’t early 2016, not only is Nintendo’s E3 total shit but it was a lie that E3 would focus on 2015 & early 2016 titles.
