GameSpot To Showcase Unknown Nintendo Title Tomorrow

gamespot_nintendo_title_e3_schedule

In the third day of E3, the GameSpot stage is to showcase “Nintendo Title 5” as listed in their schedule. This doesn’t necessarily mean an unannounced title, but rather GameSpot trying to create a bit of mystery around their programme– but you never know! Either way it could be something new. If you want to make sure, you can tune in to the “Nintendo Title 5” segment of their stream tomorrow at 11:40am PT / 1:40pm CT / 2:40pm ET / 7:40pm UK / 8:40pm Europe. What do you think it will be?

Thanks, Christopher

It’s just going to be one of the disappointing games shown at the E3 Direct. Nothing amazing to look forward to.

      1. Reality is Dolphin Revolutionized Cafe NX

Oh C´mon, “Wait and See” havent we been waiting for a fucking few years for Nintendo to deliver? Its not even unannounced title, its something from yesterdays piss poor event, probably one of those party titles.

        1. But they are delivering and they have delivered. Zelda U and Star Fox Zero are coming. MK 8, Smash, Splatoon, I’d even say DKC Tropical freeze and 3D World are great titles that prove Nintendo HAS delivered. Sure, they slapped us with Metroid, Animal Crossing, and Paper Mario by releasing weird side titles but those are only here to whet our appetites. They’ll hit us with something on their own terms (outside E3) soon enough.

          1. yeah but apparently they dont count haters gotta hate. they dont even remember that nintendo have said for weeks that theyll show games 2015 early 2016 and they did just that. they even stated that it was the reason why zelda wont be on this e3.

last e3 they wanted a new starfox they got one, seems like they only like to bark. they call it expectation but what they really mean is the word demand.

          2. they are catching up, but they still need to get on the same field as the competition. semantics of “Nintendo’s style” aside I think their are in need to putting on a show much like Xbox, Sony is boring personally but at least people are buying PS4. love my wii U but we want a REAL paper Mario RPG, we want a real Metroid that can bring the standards of halo into a game, we want cross buy and cross development, we want more T and M rated tittles that we know they have and can make well. Fox is a great start, and the cross development with platinum is a really good thing. but that’s about all. glad to see a Metroid game and I’m glad to see its on 3DS and saving a real Metroid for wii U (possibly) but honestly they need to step it up

            1. Oh yeah, I am in complete agreement there. Nintendo does need to step up. Their momentum from last E3 was awesome, however they seem to be slowing down this year despite Mario Kart, Smash, and Splatoon.

Nintendo works at their own pace though. They are making strides by licensing their IPs out to theme parks, tv\movie projects, along with collaborating more with 3rd party devs like Platinum and the Skylanders thing. They’re just going at this at their own pace.

I still have faith in them.

        2. Have you been living under a rock or something for the past year? Or your brain just can’t recall all the games and direct in the past year coz your best to be bias and close minded as fuck?

I do know it. There is absolutely no way it is anything special. I will be proven correct in less than 24 hours. Just wait.

Its not even gonna be unannounced title either. That list gives it away by saying “unannounced Ubisoft title” next to “Nintendo title”. Its probably some lame shit from yesterday, probably a Metroid party or something.

    2. I’m gonna assume it’s Devils Third or something. It’s not an unannounced title as it would say if it was.

      1. I’d like to see “Devil’s Third” get a little attention. Nintendo neglected so many Wii U exclusives in their conference, despite having a paltry few to choose from. It’s absurd!

    3. It’s a shame to be so jaded. Yet, I couldn’t agree more… Thanks Nintebro, you’ve not only dashed my hopes for a good holiday season, but my excitement the NX has been watered down as well…

      1. Yup, they did it with Code Name: Steam last E3, though it was one day after E3, because they had the roundtable then the next day Treehouse played it a little bit. Although, if it ends up being another failure like that game, I don’t know. The game was alright, mainly the sales…

  2. It also says “unknown Platinum Games Title 1” we currently know the are developing Scalebound, Transformers, Star Fox Zero, and Project Guard

      1. One of the biggest surprises to come out of the Nintendo E3 Digital Event was the collaboration between Platinum Games and Nintendo for Star Fox. To delve deeper into the matter Kotaku caught up with Shigeru Miyamoto to find out how the collaboration came about and also what has happened to Project Guard and Project Giant Robot which were Wii U GamePad demos showcased months back.

        EAD x Platinum collaboration

“Art is being done at Platinum’s Osaka office, but design is being done in Nintendo’s offices in Kyoto, where some of the Platinum guys have taken temporary root. Nintendo’s director on the project is Yugo Hayashi who previously did level design on The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess and then directed Wii Fit U. As for how in the world one goes from Zelda to Wii Fit to Star Fox, Hayashi said, “I was kind of surprised by it, too.” Miyamoto joked: “Probably the main reason is actually that he sits the closest to me [of anyone in the development group].”

On Project Giant Robot / Project Guard

“Nintendo EAD and Hayashi is overseeing it, also with the help of Platinum. Miyamoto said it is meant to be played online and that Nintendo is still figuring out if or how to release it in conjunction with Star Fox Zero. Development of Giant Robo, another, less impressive E3 2014 experimental game is on hold.”

      2. Miyamoto confirmed that it is still in development and is tied to Star Fox. Project Giant Robot however, is on hold.

          1. I don’t think so. I’m actually not sure it ever was tied to Star Fox. Either way, I think they might save it for a party game. But that’s just me thinking out loud.

  3. They would lose viewers if they listed “Metroid” or “animal crossing”. They are probably playing it safe to gain views

    1. Not really, they’d just straight up say what the game is because look at the others like XCOM 2, Shadow of the Beast and so on.

      1. Yeah, but XCOM 2 and Shadow of the Beast didn’t elicit an immediate very negative response upon their announcement did they?

AC: Amiibo Crossing or whatever it’s called and Metroid Prime Federation Force did just that. If they said one of those titles there, they can guarantee that almost everybody will stop watching them – non-Nintendo fans don’t care, Nintendo fans wouldn’t want to see it.

    1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

      >>>If it’s true, whatever it is it better NOT be another Mario or Zelda game in any way or form>>>

    1. I thought about that, but I’m preeety sure it won’t happen, since it wasn’t majorly alluded to. Zeruda also needs a bigger showing than that. It would’ve made wayyyyy more sense for it to be in the Digital Event

  4. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

    >>>We should point out that there are 3 unnanounced unspecified empire titles to be revealed tomorrow, one of them could be ours, one can imagine>>>

      1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

        >>>Maybe but there already is a slot for an unannounced Platinum game as well>>>

  5. Peanut Butter KitKat

It’s funny seeing people hype themselves up again after the “digital event disappointment”… You never learn do you.

  6. Actually 2 games that weren’t shown in the direct showed up at other things like that (Fatal Frame and Project X Zone 2) so.. it might be something. Maybe not anything that’s never been announced but something not shown at the direct maybe.

  7. I think that since Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival is free and sort of a Mini game they will announce a Real Animal Crossing Wii U game Tomorrow or soon like Pokemon Shuffle

  8. The fact that it doesn’t say ‘unannounced’ next to Nintendo’s thing worries me. But, we’ll just have to wait and see.

  9. Three new Platinum Games titles announced at E3. Yeeeeaaaaah calling bullshit on this one unless it’s Project Guard.

    1. In a Twitch stream that not all Nintendo fans will know about? That doesn’t sound logical…. At the same time, making Metroid Prime: Rescue Heroes wasn’t very smart either

  10. Nintendo is depending on 3ds handheld to much. I hope unknown wii u that would be awsome and not amiibo party game.

  11. Watch it be on 3ds…. I might end up just selling my wii u and save up for a different console. If nd is confirmed to be a home console and has a excellent launch I’ll get that. But it seems Nintendo is favoring 3ds too much

  12. I hate the name “Gamespot”. Every time I see that word, I think it says Gamestop. Then I’m left scratching my head for a moment.

  14. all I hear on these comments is a buncha crying. Seriously no matter what Nintendo announced fanboys/girls would be crying about what wasn’t announced. apparently a sequel to everything is expected and nothing less is unacceptable. 2015 has a pretty solid lineup of Wii u and 3ds titles coming.

    Star Fox
    Yoshi
    Mario Maker,
    Xenoblade
    Fire Emblem If
    Fire emblem X Shin Megami
    Devils Third
    Fucking Fatal Frame!!!!
Legend of Zelda Triforce Heroes, Pokemon mystery dungeon,
    Mario Tennis
    Lego Marvel Avengers
    Lego Dimensions,
    Sky landers,
    Disney Infinity Star Wars
    Guitar Hero

    should I go on?
