Nintendo has confirmed today that there will be a gigantic Super Smash Bros update for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U coming on July 31st. The new update brings with it new stages, Mii Fighter costumes, a new tournament mode, and much more. Some of it will be free DLC and other parts of it will be paid DLC. The Mii Fighter costumes include one for King K. Rool from the Donkey Kong Country series and Chrom of Fire Emblem. Here’s what will be available on July 31st.
• Parka costumes, which can be used by all three Mii types
• King K Rool costume for Mii Fighters
• Chrom Costume for Mii Fighter
• Hyrule Castle 64 Stage
• Peach’s Castle 64 Stage
• Tournament Mode
• Ability to save and post replays to YouTube

Sure it is an appropriate response. King K. Rool is a stupid, repellent character, and Sakurai knows better. K. Rool didn’t even feature in the Retro developed DK games, and the only people who voted for this character are unimaginative retards who couldn’t think of anything else, which is funny, because literally ANYTHING else would have been better. Besides, the major franchise that receives the least representation in Smash is Metroid, so they should add another character from that universe. Of course, Nintendo hates Metroid now, so that isn’t going to happen.

i seriously dont get the k rool hype. he is only in a few old-school dk games, and even then he is a pretty uninteresting- uninteresting to look at, uninteresting to fight against, uninteresting personality, uninteresting attacks, etc. i doubt most of the people who are voting for him and claiming he is so cool have even ever encountered him in a dk game. so why? why the bandwagoning??

Lol now if they don’t add K. Rool as a playable fighter they win the Troll of the Year award. But damn every time Splatoon or Kart adds cool shit Smash gets cool shit too and I don’t know what to play, and that’s not even considering the games coming out this fall that I need. Mii Fighter is the general term for Mii characters. Mii BRAWLER is the one that fistfights. Chrom will probably be a Swordfighter costume, and I know I’ll be getting it.
I really hope this a move to actually put K. Rool in the game. I want to see him vs Bowser dammit!

Me and all my buddies are old school gamers who love King K Rool, and none of us wanted to see his ass in smash lol. You gotta be kidding. With only 5 slots they should try and get variety from new games. I’m tired of seeing the roster grow with characters from the same game over and over. Nintendo has a lot more IPs and collabs than that.

Watch as every other Smash Ballot character gets a Mii Fighter outfit as the “winner will be made into a DLC playable character” was all just a lie from Trollurai so he could troll us Smash fans again like he did leading up to the game’s release.

I don’t know what kind of reaction I’ll get for this, but I think Sakurai should not direct the next Smash. Between his trolling, obvious Kirby & Kid Icarus bias, going back on his word, and nonsense reasoning for character inclusions (ask me about it and I will write you a fucking novel), he is not fit to lead.
I agree. I hope he keeps his word this time & doesn’t direct the next Smash. He’s holding this series back. And I truly believe he might have a huge bias towards Metroid. If someone wasn’t stopping him, I wouldn’t be surprised if he removed everything Metroid in the next Smash. If he really doesn’t want to do Ridley because of his bogus excuse, he could have at least done Dark Samus.
Oh NO ONE had better remove anything Metroid in the next game, lest they piss off the Metroid fans even more than they already have.

I voted for Ridley. Might have been pointless as long as Sakurai is in charge of Smash if him using the size excuse is not him just lying in the same way he said Villager wouldn’t happen because he doesn’t fit in a fighting game.
