You’re missing out with Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, it’s a totally different game. But to be fair, I didnt play X or Y.
i loved x and y but i played and beat alpha sapphire and was very displeased with how it played out plus i hated gen 3 only gens i really loved were gen 1 for lavender town gen2 for jhoto and having 16 gyms and finally diamond and Y after being displeased with alpha sapphire i vowed never to play another pokemon game again plus i grew out of it. that and im old enough to see it’s aimed for kids not adults that are way into their 30s maybe more

Possibly. 2016 will mark 20 years of the franchise.
They still have yet to announce a 2015 main series Pokemon game. Either they’re skipping a year so that they can work on the next game more, or maybe they’re just waiting a bit longer than last year.
They’re not going to. I know they’re not the same but Nintendo wants yokai watch to be successful in the west and releasing a Pokemon game would cast a huge shadow on it

We barely had 80 new PKMN but that’s because of the Mega Evolution idea taking up design time to make more new creatures.
People need to understand that we are getting close to 1,000 pokemon now it’s not surprising they’re slowing down making new ones.
I knew it was a little fishy that sixth gen only had half as many new Pokemon as usual. I guess it was kinda a mini-generation, and we’ll be seeing gen 7 by next year.

Not surprised, they are bound to advertise a new Pokemon that would later appear in a new generation within several films or anime. Togepi and Munchlax are good examples.

Zygarde mega evolution confirmed
This is likely a 6th gen part 2 (Pokemon Z/X2 & Y2) confirmation. Considering that the movie has a Zygarde with a new form, this little dude, and is supposed to be in the X/Y series of movies. 7th gen will come at the soonest in late 2016, though I doubt it.

As a Pokemon fan, I can tell you this one Pokemon is nothing to snuff at. Countless times before, they showed Pokemon that were from the next gen of Pokemon in a movie or season before the gen was even out. Togepi, Blaziken, Munchlax, and a few others were all shown before their respective gens were even released. That’s why a lot of people are making a big deal about this new Pokemon because it’s a sign that a new gen is well on the way.
