Following the news early this morning regarding the appointment of Tatsumi Kimishima, Nintendo has announced large restructuring plans. Both Nintendo developer Shigeru Miyamoto and Managing Director, Genyo Takeda have been assigned new roles within the company. Mr. Miyamoto will become a Creative Fellow and Mr. Takeda will become a Technology Fellow.
The Kyoto based company has also created a brand new department which is titled the Business Development Division. The primary task of this division is to ‘refine the business model for the dedicated video game system business.’ Those workers in the Business Development Division will also be tasked with growing Nintendo’s smartphone ventures and also any new business which features Nintendo IP.

What is a creative fellow and a technology fellow? Never heard of those terms before.
Just a quirky name. It means Miyamoto is working on brainstorming and development, and Takeda is working on console hardware.
Quirky term for “Game Developer and Design Brainstormer”and “Console Hardware Engineer”.
PLEASE don’t let this mean they’re falling into the mobile’s dark abyss.
