Phil Spencer, who is the head of Xbox, has always made it clear that he has the utmost respect for Nintendo. As you know, Tatsumi Kimishima was recently appointed the role of President of Nintendo and Phil Spencer took to Twitter to answer a fan’s question about Kimishima’s new position. Spencer reiterated that Nintendo has a great track record in the video game industry and is confident that Kimishima will propel Nintendo to new heights. He concluded by saying that he wished him well.

I have a good feeling about Nintendo’s new president
I expect phil to say something like this. Despite being competitors, these companies do respect one another. Their sheeps should follow in their foot steps.
Phil Spencer has always been friendly competition to Nintendo and Sony, he’s a great guy.
I hope Spencer is right about this guy and Nintendo does amazing- he’ll have a lot on his plate in the coming year including NX, amiibo, the task of regaining the hardcore fans back, etc.
I pray he’ll be the answer and solution to Nintendo’s years of BS, excuses and doomed casual path.

That’s the way everything is. Another good example was on youtube a couple years back when Nova, Tobuscus and Pewdiepie’s videos were filled with comments saying one of the 3 was better than the other 2. It was cancerous as hell, and all 3 of them had done videos together before and did more afterwards as well, and continue to be good friends. Fanbases easily ruin the things they are fans of ridiculously often, it’s just the way the world keeps spinning sadly.

I wish :) He’s done some amazing things for Xbox in the short time we’ve had him. Especially backwards compatability. And actually realizing that its a game system and not a cable box! Haha. I think he would be good for Nintendo, but this guy seems decent so far. Especially in regards to outright stating that the Wii U was a terrible name. Haha

I had no idea that Tatsumi Kimishima was already president of Nintendo Of America back in 2002-2006. Before Reggie became president. I found out when reading his wikipedia page. So he definitely knows what he’s doing. I have even more faith in him now.
