Nintendo Delays Star Fox Zero For Wii U To 2016

The Wii U console’s 2015 library of upcoming games just got smaller. Nintendo has confirmed that Star Fox Zero won’t be released this year as originally planned. It is now scheduled to launch during the first quarter of 2016, but specific details have yet to be announced. The decision to delay the game was made by Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto, who shared the following message via Nintendo’s official Facebook page:

I made a big decision last week.

We have been developing Star Fox Zero for Wii U with the aim of releasing it this year. Although we felt that the development had been progressing well, we now believe that we will need a little more time to work on areas such as the unprecedented discovery that we want players to experience in the game by using two screens, and further polishing the level designs and perfecting the tone of the cut scenes. While we have already reached the stage where it would be technically possible to release the title in time for the year-end holiday season, we want to polish the game a bit more so that players will be able to more smoothly grasp the new style of play that we are proposing.

To the people looking forward to the launch of the game this holiday season, I am very sorry.

Star Fox Zero is going to bring new game play and experiences that take it far beyond the framework established by Star Fox 64. All the members of the development team are doing our best so that the final product will not betray your expectations. And the game will not be delayed for a very long time – we’re aiming to launch the game in Q1 2016. Please stay tuned for further announcements.

    1. Thank god! Now I actually have a little more faith in this game. Miyamoto heard the complaints and is gonna polish the game further. Good deal.

      1. That’s what I’m hoping. I want this game to be awesome. And from the internet buzz it’s been getting, expectations were not exactly awesome. So hopefully they make this game what it is. No disrespect meant, but I believe this is where Iwata would come in and say “Please understand.” Haha. What a catchphrase. Oh well. RIP.

        1. And watch when this game is pushed back and still looks and plays exactly the same as of now. Ya gonna be even more disappointed than ever unless you’re still that delusional to believe Nintendo still cares about its “fans” that almost no longer exists and in its place is a group of fools.

              1. Console isn’t “awesome” as on “hyped” game is delayed?

Suppose, for example, the PS3 is not “awesome” because The Last Guardian (a very “hyped” game) was delayed for the best part of a decade. Or any console, ever, that’s had a game delayed?

And you have the nerve to call others names? Dear me.

          1. We’ve had conversations before where I was very critical of Nintendo. We share the same attitude toward Nintendo. Why would you think I am delusional or any of the sort. All I said is I hope this game turns out good. I have this and Zelda left. After them, I might not be playing video games anymore. Mainly because I have lost faith in Nintendo and felt betrayal over the years. I want this game to turn out well, but I’m not delusional about Nintendo by any means.

    2. Same here. I was hoping it was a typo but no it’s for real and I’d be lying if I said I’m wasn’t disappointed. Well, at least now they have the time to polish up the game and maybe add an online multiplayer mode to satisfy these people who were constantly crying and bitching about it.

      1. honestly a starfox with online is just as needed as level sharing in Mario maker and online in spaltoon. plus starfox offers several vehicles which could mean tank battles, ship battles, drone battles, exe. or even mixed team battles (king of the hill) yea starfox needs online. but overall I’m glad the game is getting extra attention, I rather hear its being delayed a few months rather then not coming.

      2. The fans got their way and fanboys didn’t boohoo now maybe we will have a Nintendo classic instead of classic Nintendo trash that fanboys gobble up. Anyone who didn’t see a delay coming doesn’t know Nintendo and hasn’t been gaming with them long. Fuck you fanboy.

    3. oh man this is nintendos death rattle. first no zelda now this. i’ll be spending this holiday with playstation. fuck nintendo you are your own worst enemy.stop making shit consoles and spend more time on software. i had to laugh.

          1. I could see them finalizing on NX hardware already and working on new games for it. I wouldn’t be surprised if star fox and Zelda are being made to be on those systems. but they would be either enhanced versions of the wii U games or just ports. I dont see them canceling on wii U. simply because NX has not a single unit out and just about everyone who bought a wii has bin waiting for Mario kart, smash, …..and of course Zelda and starfox. so its pretty much a given that wii U owners are going to go out and get them. it would make no sense to just sell them on a new system with no customers yet. again I could see ports or enhanced additions as launch tittles for the NX but they would be games already on Wii U

  1. Good, hopefully i will look better and polished and it gives hope to a walking mode, i love exploring the ground as Fox. Let’s see what changes the delay brings. Also an online mode would be fantastique!!

        1. Ehh Assault and adventure kinda got fox in the runt …and command didn’t help. I don’t mind the idea of on foot, but there was too much in assault and adventure( which was more of a zelda game)

        2. Cause you’re fucking 19 and don’t know what a real star fox game is. Star fox adventures isn’t even star fox, it’s dinosaur planet with star fox characters slapped on the last minute. You are a little bitch, certainly no boss though fucking git. Teenagers have no say here.

      1. I dont know, Nintendo likes to have lots of hidden content in its games. its not all that surprising to find out that their may be other vehicles, some sort of character missions or online with the different vehicles .

          1. No offense, but Nintendo doesn’t know what project management means. If I hit my deadlines like Nintendo hits theirs, I’d be fired.

Do you think that means I can do a shitty job unless they give me more time? No. Absolutely nothing against you, your comment triggered my rant, but is certainly not the target.

I know Video game programming isn’t quite the same as online marketing and ecommerce, but they really need to learn what I learned about car repairs…if I think it will take me two hours, it will take me 4.

Year after year after year after year… Should we be used to it? Meh. Maybe. But they should take ownership for sucking hard at project management.

He said he was sorry, it was a hard decision, and I Agree, this is a game that could benefit from a delay, I’m glad he made that decision, but goddamn if those motherfuckers are not the masters of delay and disappointment.

  2. Maybe to release a good game with good graphics !!!
    Look at MarioKart 8 😉
So I hope it will be good …
    Finally it’s a good decision!!!

  3. If they are delaying it for the NX they sure as hell had better do something about those graphics.

Not really because I care about it or anything but it’s just sooooooo tiring having the graphics be the only talking point oeople raise. Seriously, you’d swear the average gamers of today are superficial complaining machines!

      1. That’s what they said about a great number of WiiU launch Window games. Pretty much they missed the mark and delayed the shit out of their games.

Anyone who thinks there’s a “good” chance we’ll see Starfox anytime soon is a fool. As I’m still a Nintendo fan, put the Fool-cap on my head too.

    1. 1st quarter, I hello doubt they will have a direct for the system and be like, and guess what the system comes out this month

  4. Noooo no no no no. I quit Nintendo I quit gaming I quit life this is my last post fuck every damn human on this planet it’s time I erase mankind and we gods can make a proper species to florish here.

  5. It is a good idea at this point. With Battle Front and star wars coming out fox might have not made through. Plus they could add more to the over all experience. I would love to see a kid Icarus style Difficulty

    1. Doofus, it’s Star Wars/Battlefront are the same shit and coming in September..by EA..which everyone hates and knows they’re gonna ruin the game. Star Fox was suppose to come out around November/December which is way passed Star Wars time.

  6. No Zelda U, no Starfox U… hmm idk m8

Btw please check out my Mario Maker levels and give them a star. The first 4 are incredibly hard so you’re gonna have a though time unless you’re a pretty good Mario player but still star them and the others. Use this code to see one level and just go to my profile to see the others 58C4-0000-0032-359F

    1. I’ll try ’em out. I know it’s tough just to get people to notice your levels. Try mine out too. I’ve only got 2 out and truthfully probably only this one is worth playing. But I’m hoping to have two more out by tomorrow.

      3EFD-0000-003F-7F0C

    2. I’ll check ’em out. I know how tough it can be just to get people to play your levels. Check mine out too. I only have 2 out and truthfully only this one is really worth playing. But I’m hoping to have two more out by tomorrow.

      3EFD-0000-003F-7F0C

  7. Even with Iwata gone we’re still being told “Please understand.”
Heheh, it’s ok. I haven’t been super anxious waiting for this game. The longer it’s in development, the better it should turn out.

      1. They tried to make Pikmin 3 a Wii U launch title, and it didn’t work out too well. The Pikmin franchise, while I love it, is not a good launch franchise. It’s a niche title, and does not attract new buyers.

They need to make Zelda a launch title or Galaxy 3. It’s time to bring out the big guns, no more pussy footing around…even though I thought the Wii U was awsome….

        1. Agreed. Not to beat a dead horse but releasing a new F-Zero would probably help a lot. I don’t know if it would sell that much (going by GX’s numbers) but it would be a statement towards the hardcore Nintendo fanbase. It feels like it’s become the staple series of the abandoned Nintendo fans, kind of.

      2. I think not ? NX Home 2017,NX Portable 2016 it’s quite simple the Portable will come first 20 million shipped in 1st year points to Portable NX in 2016 which is why they say the main console will be WiiU in 2016…and they will continue to support WiiU/3DS after both are released….

The Only other possibility is they release both Home/Portable versions at the same time that could also point towards 20 million shipped in 1st year but hey lets wait and see oh heres Iwata clearly stating there will be 2 different consoles and lots more…

        http://www.gamespot.com/forums/system-wars-314159282/the-nx-will-not-be-a-single-hybrid-device-32298076/

        1. A 4v4 chatless/contentless multiplayer that looks like a Nickelodeon game, a Mario stage builder who’s idea was ripped off from PC mods and hacks and. Kirby’s Epic Yarn Yoshi game that’s not even as good as the original Yoshi’s Island? Yeah, I must ask; That’s it?

      1. Not entirely barren. Look at some of the indies that are coming to the Wii U this year… including the most highly anticipated nindie title FAST Racing Neo.

      1. Nintendo Sub-Commander Cereza

Tetrarch, I am here to report that TheBenSanders has been eliminated. I dont know if one of his subordinates will return, I sent him through my forced recruitment process and dropped him onto some desert near a Toad Taliban base. He succeeded in his mission, but failed to return because he met with some Dry-chomps near some ancient ruins. He will not be missed.

      1. Actually Starfox Zero did indeed have a release date. It was scheduled for November 20th but the only retailer that was smart enough not to give it a release date was Amazon. Maybe they were already informed about the delay long before Nintendo officially announced it

        1. Since it was decided so last week, I doubt they knew it. But Xenoblade is finished anyways, so a delay should not be expected, unless one of the main voice actors will have health problems or dies…

  8. I’m glad they delayed this. I actually hoped it got delayed. I thought the november release was weird, especially with the Mario Tennis game. And then there is Xenoblade Chronicles X’s release not long after. I wasn’t planning on getting the game on day 1 anyway. I would be busy playing Fallout 4.

  9. sasori obinna: the puppet master

this was promised for a 2015 release….damm wii u wiiiii u wiiiii u (wii u on life support)take it to the doctor tre81 lmao

    1. Yoshi’s wolly world, fatal frame, devil’s third, xenoblade chornicles x, rodea the sky soldier and mario tennis say hi!

    2. Hey, Mr. selfracist!. If they add online multiplayer battles in Star Fox Zero, i hope i can fight you, it would be nice to destroy you.

        1. >>>You say you hate those bashing homosexuals and yet you use slurs like “Faggot” and “Queer” to bash people, no wonder you like to reply to that LGBT hating pothead as well>>>

          >>>Specially when you say you hate Republicans and yet you act like them>>>

      1. Jtz from Manasseh tribe

Cant. Because it was Ninte do’s dumb Idea to give Project Cafe 1gb for the OS, it cant handle Gamecube VC.

  10. Nintendo should just get into the habit of announcing all of these big titles to be released 6-12 months later than they intend them to be. Like nearly every big game is delayed by a few months to over a year.

  11. Half of all Nintendo fans said this and Zelda would get delayed… well guess what?
I was right… and so were about half of us.
They were beyond over-fucking-ambitious with getting those both out in 2015.

And with amiibo… they know the holiday delay won’t hurt the money flow… at all.

Just release the Falco amiibo, fuck the game!

    Haaaa!

I’m sad… but my 2015 wallet is happy.

        1. I don’t think I’ve bought a single game this year. Smash was my last purchase (at launch). Not interested in Splatoon, Devil’s Third and Rodea both lost my interest, not interested in Wooly World, Xenoblade was way too long for me so although amazing, I’m not getting the sequel. Pretty much Star Fox and Zelda were my only two big games this year and both got delayed. Nintendo is turning me into a non-gamer haha.

          1. I bought Mario Maker. Pretty cool game. Other than that, nothing under the Nintendo seal. Even for the 3DS, the only title I bought this year was Majora’s Mask, a game that I already own for the N64. Splatoon, XCX and DT didn’t click me as well and I don’t have plans to get them in the near future.

This year the other consoles have been keeping me busy. Besides Mario Maker, right now I’m playing MGS V, and as soon as it releases, The Rise of The Tomb Raider, Fallout 4 and Star Wars Battlefront.

            1. I only have a Wii U. Although I could afford one of the other ones, I don’t feel like it. Although I do want FF7 remake badly. But I stick to one console usually. If NX doesn’t completely wow me though, I think the Wii U will actually be my last console. Gaming has been great over the years, but I am seeing less and less that interests me. Or some things I just can’t justify paying the amount it takes. But I still have soccer that I can play. So I’m good.

              1. HollowGrapeJ (The Legendary Video Game Master And Anime Wizard)

I’m playing MGSV, Batman Arkham City, The Witcher 3, and Final Fantasy XIII, and Dishonored. I still have to buy: (this year)
                -Mad Max
                -Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
                -Fallout 4
                -Hitman
                -Tales of Zestiria
                -GTA V (PC)
                -Dying Light
and even more than that. I’m not even halfway finished with what I own. Used to not have all this when I had only a Wii U. I got tired of it and sold. I don’t regret it all. Lol. I’m sorry.

                1. You don’t have to apologize to me. I am glad other gamers are getting games they enjoy on multiple consoles. Nintendo hasn’t been producing much that I enjoy lately, and as previously mentioned, I don’t have an interest in the other systems. I don’t begrudge other gamers for having fun with Play Station or Xbox, or even those that are getting games they enjoy on Wii U. Except for casuals. Them bastards I begrudge haha.

  12. Officifer Skeletons420♣

Could just be whats best for the game and all the fans waiting for it. People will get over it, im not sure how far Miyamoto would go in the way of upgrading the graphics. So yeah, we’ll see what happens : ).

  13. They need to move Xenoblade X into November and give Fatal Frame 5 a physical holiday release to help fill in the huge gap.

  14. It’s written “polish”, it’s spelled “fallout 4 will annihilate every game in that window so we better get the fuck out of there”

  15. 1st Xenoblade X gets delayed, then Zelda U,now Star Fox lol……RIPWIIU2015 LOL,the only thing that will justify this delayed,is upgraded graphics, to be at the same level as MK8 and Bayo2,and also to have Fox do ground missions on foot with a gun MASS EFFECT STYLE.

  16. Yeah, ok, good for the game and all. But really? Reeeallly? The Wii U has like, 5 good games in all 2015? What a mess, you can’t defend this, Nintendo screw up so badly. From a big Nintendo fan : (

      1. Xenoblade Master Ridley X3

Nope. Fan is right. He’s not sugar coating or bending over for Nintendo & is admitting the company fucked up. You on the other hand…

  17. No one cares about duel screen, if they didn’t waste processing power on the second screen the game would be gorgeous.

Gamepad is only good for inventory or map screen and off TV play

  18. Based on the late footage, it was obvious that the game was hardly ready for launch this year. Only fanboys were unable to see it.

While this delay may bring hope for a better overall gameplay — the title looks bland and boring — their efforts to use the gamepad to a greater extent shows not only Nintendo is adrift, but also that they can mess the playability big time. The gamepad is an atrocity and f*cked the Wii U technically speaking in 90% of the time.

I’ve said this already: Nintendo should have invested in the pro-controller, and should have developed an app for android and ios which could stream the screen content to any tablet, a gadget that almost any household has nowadays.

    Fore

  19. I think it’s good that they are delaying it.
I’m okay with game delays if they have purpose and not to actually dumb down the game like some people do……. *cough* Ubisoft, EA *cough*

      1. Hey!
What do you thing about the delaying of Star Fox?. I hope they add the multiplayer mode and project giant robot/guard.
        My hopes are rising :D

          1. they’ll use the extra time to polish the levels and i am sure they’ll work on project guard, i hope this one is not the only multiplayer mode for Star Fox Zero. it looks interesting, i mean, i hate to be the only person playing while the others are just watching, but with Star Fox i want a battle mode, it think it was so hard for some (most) people to look for others with a 3DS to play battle mode in SF 64 3D.
Lylat Wars was one of the best multiplayer experiences in the N64, Assault is epic too.

  20. I hate having 2 screens. Makes me dizzy having to look up and down all the time (and that heavy Gamepad…. Ugh). Seriously, after playing Assassin’s Creed IV on Wii U with the Gamepad, and then playing A.C. Rogue on PS3, I can’t tell you how much of a relief it was not have to look at a second screen anymore. Most of Nintendo’s efforts these days are going towards modes and things that I myself care nothing about, and never use if given the option.

    1. That’s how I feel about the gamepad. I hate having to share my attention between 2 screens. It’s so unnatural.

Moreover, the gamepad drains processing power. A lot of it.

      1. Well. I actually like the gamepad. Though I’ll admit…..every game doesnt need “souped up/ pimped out gamepad” functions.

It worked great for Zombie U (People enjoyed the clever gamepad functions. They really hated it’s low res graphics) & RAYMAN was excellent. But I especially like NINTENDOS approach to HYRULE WARRIORS. The gamepad was an overall map & a good menu guide….THAT’S IT!!

STAR FOX ZERO needs more of the HYRULE WARRIORS gamepad treatment instead of RAYMAN LEGENDS approach. Because if there’s any part that needs to be improved is adding online (which they are…THANK GOD!) & the Grsphics!!

        1. I see. I agree it does a great job in displaying maps, inventory and such. But… For those uses, a tablet connected to the Wii U should suffice. It would save processing power so that developers could focus on longer games, better graphics and better AI.

I’m afraid Star Fox got so gimmicked by the use of the gamepad to the point in which playing it might become a pain in the arse.

            1. Yeah, off-TV play is interesting as well. Ideally the screen could have higher pixel density than its 158 ppi — but I know it would imply in higher costs and higher MSRP. Just for the sake of comparison, average smartphones and tablets have around 450-500 ppi of pixel density. But even off-TV play could be achieved using a tablet, it Nintendo had developed an app to stream the content (either wirelessly, or through an OTG-like cable).

    1. Everyone please please please stop hoping for online gaming. It is NOT being added. It’s not that kind of delay.

I swear to god if you want any chance at liking this game, stop getting your hopes up. Set the bar low and be happy, set it high and keep getting fucked. I’m serious.

  21. Pingback: No Star Fox for U in 2015-- Delayed to 2016

  22. This is a GOOD thing. If the game needs more work and needs delaying to actually make it better, then great. Miyamoto said it himself, “A rushed game is bad forever, but a delayed game can be good.” Or something along those lines.

  23. I tried the game yesterday, and I think this is a good desicion. While I was very impressed with how fluidly the gyro-controls work, the game itself felt very underwhelming and lack luster. I don’t know if they can fix that in such a short amount of time, but the entire thing just feels and looks unpolished, dated and boring. Hope they’ll spice things up.

  24. Wow… So that’s a grand total of zero Wii U games I purchased this year. I was actually looking forward to this. Oh well, I have Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Star Wars: Battlefront to keep me busy.

          1. HollowGrapeJ (The Legendary Video Game Master And Anime Wizard)

Haha funny thing about that is that I see the Splatoon commercial several times on that channel but I barely see it on other ones. XD

              1. Hehe that’s funny. I haven’t been watching a lot of tv recently but the only 2 times I ever saw their commercial were once on comedy central and once during a football game. Never saw it anywhere else. I was starting to think there was something wrong with Nintendo’s ad department.

  25. Jtz from Manasseh tribe

This is one of the smartest things Nintendo has ever done. Remaining a game in R&D. This way it wont need like 3 updates through a server. I also they thinking of online while delaying the game.

  26. They really need to add ONLINE PLAY as well as beefing up the graphics. So let’s remain optimistic about NINTENDO doing the right thing from now on.

….on a funny note dealing with Nintendo after all these years feels like “going to SUBWAY that’s known for shitty customer service.” You ask for a “Toasted Spicy Italian w/ Monterey cheese w/ EVERYTHING on Honey Oat bread covered in Southwest sauce & Ranch. With a bag of Sun Chips, 2 Choclate Chip cookies, & a large drink”.

…..only to have Miyamoto & Reggie (wearing their tight green shirts & little SUBWAY hats) fix you a “salad w/ lite tomatoes & cucumbers w/ oil & vinegar at the side.”

    …..& A BOTTLED WATER!!! LMAO

  27. Nintendo delays a game, news at 11.
But really, this game needed it. Maybe Nintendo wouldn’t always have to delay a game if they were better at estimating when it would be finished.

    1. Your last sentence is something I always say. They need to stop giving out release dates until they are 99.9% sure that they will make it on that date barring some catastrophic situation. They are just shooting themselves in the foot with these release dates. Tell consumers a game will be out in a couple of years. They’ll be ok. Tell consumers a specific date, then go back on that promise, they feel disappointment.

    2. It does not always happen, just on games that might need some content that was considered late. Q1 is not too far, expect February or something.

  28. Guys gguys guys giys it has to be for NX now! Only logical choice….. not! Come on, y’all, not every game that gets delayed means dual release

  29. Pingback: Nintendo Delays Star Fox Zero For Wii U To 2016 | CURIOSIDADES NA INTERNET .COM

  30. Thank the Lord! I knew this game didn’t have enough time to get the proper polish with a winter release. I want to play it as much as anyone, but I’ve been calling for a delay since E3. Now we know that, at Nintendo, quality still means something.

  31. Good cause no matter what people tell me the game still look bland and had no immersive feel to it. I mean when the first flying segment of starfox assault….a gamecube game may i remind you; Looks better then starfox zero… somethings wrong.

    1. Fatal Frame and Yoshi’s Wooly World, if you have any interesting on them.

I won’t be buying any game from Nintendo these holidays. Maybe this is the first time this happens in, like, 15 years or so.

      1. Yoshi’s Wooly world comes out in October I think, so I wasn’t thinking about it as a holiday release, and I’ll definitely be getting it. The fact that this is the first time in several years that Nintendo hasn’t had a true first party release in November or December on a home console is pretty surprising.

        1. True, that’s October 16. First I was excited about it, but some pals from Europe have addressed some concerns about the game, like (i) there is absolutely nothing new on it, and (ii) the gameplay is way repetitive and not challenging. I’ll put htis on hold, though, once I usually enjoy Yoshi’s games. So I’ll eventually grab it, but definitely not this year.

          1. I got the game and I would say that it is pretty hard if you aim to 100% it. It’s easy if you do a walkthrough and hard if you complete it. Especially the bonus levels. There are some transformations, but the gameplay does not change too much, appart from new enemies. And some bosses are the same, but you beat them in different ways.

Off topic, but why are people not considering Mario Tennis when it comes to big games? It might have lots of content.

  32. HollowGrapeJ (The Legendary Video Game Master And Anime Wizard)

I think all games should just not have a release date at all until they’re fully finished and ready to be played. It would be so awesome to watch E3 and then be able to play all those games in only the next week or two.

  33. Have to admit I was disappointed to wake up to this, too, though I understand the need to polish the game. Between this and Persona 5 getting delayed, I’m getting low on games I actually want to buy this holidays. Oh well. Hopefully, Xenoblade will still be coming out this year.

  34. Hahahahahhahahahhaahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahshahahahahahahahahahahaha

  35. Welp, more time for me to finish my Wii U backlog. I’m honestly glad they delayed this game. The game always felt really rushed so its good they have more time to work on it. The gameplay looks really fun but the graphics are not bad (to me) just acceptable. Which is not good when you compare it to other Wii U games that look really good.

  36. Good thing I wasn’t excited for this game. At least now I can have a slight hope that the game can come out looking better and more interesting than it did so far, because since it was unveiled at E3 I haven’t been sold on it at all.

    1. I agree! The big one this year is Halo 5: Guardians, but there are also a bunch of other games coming out on both XB1 and PS4 this year. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Star Wars: Battlefront, and Fallout 4. I don’t know how I’m going to have time to play them all, I’m still on Rare Replay right now!

    2. Halo 5, 4, Master Chief Collection and 343i are an insult to the original Halo trilogy fans and fuck Tomb Raider. I played the first one and it’s just an Uncharted clone with lots of useless shooting and QTEs and a bit more of exploration/collection though. Anyway, original TR >>> Uncharted and its clones.

  38. Yes. Wii U continues is plummet as its zombie gaming library and reputation depletes. Such a sad display to behold. Fortunately I’m no longer part of those idiots still defending and thinking this POS console still has any reason to continue. Now that Star Fox is out, what’s next? Oh yeah, absolutely nothing.

  39. Welp!! (if there’s such a word)
I’ll be getting: Mario Maker. Yoshis Wolly World. Xenoblade. Mario Power Tennis. Fatal Frame. & Just Dance 2016. With a hist of downloadable goodies from the Nintendo E Shop.

Not to mention Im STILL playing SPLATOON (they keep giving us free new content!). Super Smash Bros. Mario Kart 8. Hyrule Warriors. So they can push STARFOX ZERO back as far as they want. JUST GET IT RIGHT!!

I’ll be fine until next year!

  40. Oh man, my son is going to be real sad about this one. This was THE game he’s been waiting for all year long besides Mario Maker.

  41. I’m wondering if Miyamoto is going to slide Pikmin 4 in the holiday 2015 slot, replacing Star Fox Zero. He did say Pikmin 4 was very close to completion like 2 weeks ago.

They gotta bring something, I can’t imagine they are going to let the Friday before Thanksgiving come and go with no big release. They usually have a big game out every year right before thanksgiving

  42. I’m glad this was delayed. I’m already not going to be able to afford Christmas shopping this year due to the few games that ARE coming out (and over $230 worth of amiibos coming out).

  43. Xenoblade Master Ridley X3

Thank God they didn’t go with the Splatoon tactic: release an unfinished game, with certain stuff locked on the disc, and releasing updates that unlock the locked content in the next few month’s of the game being out.

But if Nintendo had pulled a Splatoon with Star Fox Zero, the fanboys would still be giving Nintendo head while the words “Great job, Nintendo! Keep it up!” gets muffled. I’m so glad the success of an incomplete-upon-release Splatoon didn’t effect Miyamoto while they were developing Star Fox Zero. I’d rather see delays than get an incomplete fucking game upon release. I’ve dealt with that bullshit from Ubisoft with the Assassin’s Creed games on the Wii U & I refuse to deal with it again.

  44. I’m reminded of some words of wisdom from Mr. Miyamoto.

A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.
