Here’s A 30 Minute Documentary On The Power Glove

Interested in the history of the Power Glove? Well you may find this video by YouTuber the Gaming Historian rather interesting. For those not in the know the Power Glove was a controller accessory for the Nintendo Entertainment System and was released back in 1989. The device was actually developed by Mattel and was licensed by Nintendo and not created by them as some people believe. Anyway, be sure to check out the video if it piques your interest.

  1. 💃I'm a Boss Ass Bitch💯

Holy shit. Imagine all the fucking possibilities if nintendo released this shit for 3d games or along side the NX.

  2. The Power Glove pre-dates the Wii and the Wii Remotes’ motion controllers by decades. Yet it worked in similar fashion. They were ahead of their time. TOO far ahead. So far that the Power Glove was an unresponsive piece of crap! It would have been cool if it just worked properly, and you didn’t have to program those stupid codes for each game.

For nostalgia purposes, I’ve always wished I had the Power Glove. But it’s always too expensive on eBay. And it kind of creeps me out to think of putting my hand inside of a dirty, used glove. It can’t even be washed properly either because of the electrical things built on it. Unless it’s just broke in the first place, then it can be washed with no worries.
