Tharja, Virion, & Draug As Mirages In Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem

Two brand new characters have been announced for Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei on Wii U in the latest edition of Weekly Famitsu. These new characters are Mamori Minamoto and Barry Goodman. There are also three new Mirages who have appeared in the Fire Emblem titles on the Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS.

  • Mamori Minamoto (voiced by Kaori Fukuhara) – A talent and Mirage Master that belongs to the same public entertainment office as the protagonists. She’s an elementary school student that likes Showa era songs and clothing.
  • Barry Goodman (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) – A once popular musician who’s come to Japan in search of otaku culture. Following his retirement, he works with the protagonists as a trainer.

New Mirages:

  • Kiria Kurono – Tharja (Fire Emblem Awakening)
  • Eleonora Yumizuru – Virion (Fire Emblem Awakening)
  • Mamori Minamoto – Draug (Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Blade of Light)

  1. I play fire emblem games, and I know that a mirage is an optical illusion created in hot deserts. So all I took from this, is that there are more characters in the game.

  2. How much you all bet that Tharja’s legions of fanboys would buy this game just for her? Assuming that her Mirage design doesn’t deviate too much from the original.

    1. Mirages are more along the lines of your partners. While they do communicate with you at some points of the story, you can fuse with them during battle to gain their abilities from the start. There are certain specials where you can summon your Mirage (letting them off of your body) so that they can also attack enemies themselves. Think of them as the Stands from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
