oh come on, underwater mixed things up plus 4 was too mediocre yes there was more climbing and the mount was fun but i missed the water fights it was loads of fun plus i never died in the underwater fights best mh game was 3 ultimate

          1. Mixed? That’s a funny way of spelling Screwed. I have yet to meet one person who started Monster Hunter prior to Tri that actually likes the damn underwater gameplay. Mixing up the game is one thing, but underwater levels just broke the momentum of gameplay. I’m more up for X’s stylish jumping and mid-air combos than going back to that crap.

your a fan of the old style and fair play not everybody is a fan but the option should be there for those that do if not i’ll stick to tri

              1. Thing is, it won’t be an option. It’ll be a must. It was one of the lesser liked parts of the games in reviews, and generally they stick with a gameplay style once per Generation. We likely won’t see Underwater again outside of Tri and 3U, until much, much further down the line if they bother again. X is already confirmed no Underwater play, and the praise over the decision is still very much visible on forums, boards and facebook groups. It really was for the best that it was removed.

then i wont upgrade past 3 then
until water battles return i wont be playing any other games

      1. Only the unexperienced like underwater battles. Everyone that’s played MHFU, including youtubers, absolutely loathe them. Underwater isn’t Monster Hunter worthy. Capcom realised that, which is why 4 and Cross have more verticality

i liked the change in 3 ultimate i think its the vetrans being big babies that there was something different

  1. I REALLY hope they make a WiiU version of MH Cross. I liked the aspect where you can transfer gear to the Wii version in MH3.
