Miitomo releases in March alongside My Nintendo, which is the new member service to replace Club Nintendo.

Nintendo has today confirmed that the long-awaited replacement for Club Nintendo will strangely be titled My Nintendo. It was previously thought it was named a “Nintendo Account” (that’s what the Wall Street Journal live blogged) but it seems that is the replacement for Nintendo Network ID and My Nintendo is the replacement for Club Nintendo. Guess we shall hear more details regarding the service, and when it opens shop, in the near future.

Kind of confusing to name one thing “My Nintendo” and another named “Nintendo Account”.
Hopefully those are just temporary… but knowing Nintendo and their horrible naming skills… Ugh…

No I think Nintendo Account is actually a replacement for NNID, and My Nintendo is for Club Nintendo.
Actually it might replace both. The way the make it sound it does pretty much what both of them do, only much better.

so the Club Nintendo replacement & their first mobile game both get the 2016 delay. At least it’s not another “everywhere except America for another 3 months” like everything has been lately, looking right at you Paper Jam.
Don’t forget they did it with Yoshi’s Woolly World too because “games don’t sell during the summer.”

So if the Club Nintendo replacement is coming in March 2016, when the fuck is the Nintendo Account to replace Nintendo Network ID fucking coming!? I’d like to transfer my shit from my broken HDMI plug-in Wii U to my new one before the year is out, damn it!
That’s a good question since they didn’t specify that but I would have to say March 2016 since My Nintendo is a part of the Nintendo Account.
If this new account system will let me send my save data to the cloud system so I can transfer the save data & everything to a new Wii U, I guess I’ll wait til Nintendo Account releases through an update before buying anymore games. I don’t want to lose all of the hard work I put into the games I played. I hated having to do that shit with the Wii when it broke.
If not, I’ll just have to bite the bullet, send in my old Wii U to be fixed, and pray they don’t fuck up my save data.
I hope Nintendo doesn’t do something stupid like force us to use some retarded gimmick like say needing two functional Gamepads to use the Nintendo Account thingy to transfer save data using the cloud system between consoles. :/ That’s what’s holding me back right now from getting my shit off the broken one.
I didn’t have any issues when I sent my wii u in for repairs. I had to re download my games but my save files were still there. I really don’t understand what people were worried about.
By re download I mean with no charge.
These are some VERY young people leaving comments, they have no idea that before Club Nintendo the previous system was called MY NINTENDO! They didn’t offer the same level of rewards, but every so often they’d give you an extra something for registering a game or system. I had over 100 registered, so when they switched to the NA Club Nintendo, I got the Thank you letter from Reggie with that cool poster for having so many registered.
