Mario Tennis Ultra Smash Website Says It Will Have Five New Characters

The fancy website for the upcoming Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash on the Wii U has recently been updated. The site now says that the game will include five new characters. We have already learned that Toadette, Rosalina and Sprixie will feature in the Mario themed sports title, so that leaves two characters that have yet to be announced by Nintendo. Any guesses as to who they are?

  1. Metal Mario and Metal Peach, or Cat Mario and Cat Peach, or Shadow Mario and Shadow Peach, or Tanooki Mario and Tanooki Peach, or Fire Mario and Fire Peach or….

  2. I have to agree with GameXplain’s assessment. Kamek and Lakitu are probably the likely candidates. That being said I think its likely there could be another two returning characters if there’s two new characters we don’t know about. I’d guess Diddy Kong and Mii for those.

  3. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

*chuckles* Don’t get your hopes up, people. The other two might just be Mario & Peach/Luigi in outfits. Like how Mario Kart 8 fucked us in the ass with “new” characters. That was the DLC, but still counts.

      1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

Oh yeah. I totally forgot Pink Gold Peach but I wasn’t too sure of Baby Rosalina since I haven’t really done any research on Mario Kart 7.

        1. Nah, Baby Rosalina wasn’t in 7- the crap character on the roster that nobody wanted for that one was Honey Queen. Also, in an interview, the devs of MK7 said Waluigi was “too creepy” for their audience, which is why he was not in 7, believe it or not.

._. Wow. If Waluigi is too creepy, then they should remove Wario because his creep level is off the charts. ESPECIALLY since Smash when fart jokes & stuff became part of that character’s repertoire.
