The official Japanese Star Fox Zero website is now live and includes video clips showing the Nintendo Direct footage, Miyamoto’s Developer Story (in Japanese), and clips showing the games controls. 1. Think Yooka-Laylee is what your thinking. Starfox has always had voice acting since SF64 I think. Maybe Starfox on SNES actually…can’t remember.

  1. I wasn’t aware Nintendo hired a samurai to record that voice acting.

Besides that, what’s the point in using gyro controls to play Zero? Moreover, what’s the relevance of having the cockpit view in the gamepad?

Innovation! We have to shove it down your throat in whatever way we can! We still need an innovating idea to make the next F-Zero! Sadly, we’ve already used any innovation that could also be used in an F-Zero game on other games! Sorry but if we can’t use a brand new innovation for every game, we just won’t bother! G’day, sir!

      1. It’s your fault for not liking our innovation. Our innovations are great! Everyone will love them! And if you don’t, we don’t care! Innovation is key! That’s why our Wii U is outselling the PS1 and the Sega Genesis! What? they aren’t part of this generation? The PS4 and XBox One are kicking our ass in sales? That doesn’t matter! Why? Innovation! That’s why!

        1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

We’re not out of touch! You just don’t see how great our ideas are! There’s a group of people that like our great ideas! What? They are a very small minority of a few 3 million people & are outnumbered by a majority of over 25 million! Whatever! It doesn’t matter because we’re still making a tiny profit! *laughs all the way to the Graveyard of Great Companies that Made Profits but are still either bankrupt or dead*

          1. It’s the perfect business model! The Wii was our crowning achievement! Those casuals are where it’s at! Loyal fans? Pfft! Who needs them? The casuals will sustain us! They love our innovations. The loyal fans just don’t appreciate innovation. So we don’t appreciate them!

            1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

Wait!? 95% of the casuals ditched us? It’s okay! We’ll win them back with more kid & family friendly crap in the Wii U! We need to hold back content to release it in small doses ala Splatoon, censor content, remove content, etc. so they don’t get too overwhelmed! This plan will not fail!

            2. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

Wait! It has failed!? That’s okay! Plan Mobile is on it’s way! That will win back the fickle casuals!

              1. What? Miitomo didn’t go over well? Just hold on to your seatbelts! It’s gonna take off! Mobile is our gameplan and we’re sticking to it! The casuals must be brought back into the fold! They are the chosen ones! We love the casuals!

                1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

Meanwhile, we’ll try to keep the Wii U afloat with more kid & family friendly commercials while also removing & censoring content for our more mature titles like Xenoblade Chronicles X & Fatal Frame V: Maiden of Black Water! Our current Wii U owners will appreciate all the protection we give them because, after all, they are a bunch of children that need us to be their parental guardians 24/7!

                  1. Everyone always worries about the children. Well, here at Nintendo, we got you covered. Kiddie games are our specialty. Mature content? No more of that. No sir. No one takes the kids into account like we do. Kids, casuals, and innovation. We got it all folks!

                    1. I just remembered Miyamoto saying during the last Nintendo’s investors metting that the NX will be child-driven. I still hope that was a matter of mistranslation, but I can’t help find it funny!

                  2. LOL!

You guys flawlessly went over all the old, vitriolic excuses Nintendo and their blind supporters usually use to defend their own bullsh*t!

                      1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

If Nintendo doesn’t, the fanboys will pick up the slack for them. Of course, neither is an if but a certainty.

Region locking? Don’t like region locking? But why don’t you like it!? It’s so useful to us here in America. When we do something you don’t like like censoring a game for some stupid, retarded reason, you can’t give your money to other countries & are forced to buy our politically correct bullshit censoring! Trust us! It’s in our-err… I mean, it’s in YOUR best interest! We must keep children from getting games that might have content they can’t handle! Their parents aren’t bright enough to know what to get & what not to get for them! Everyone in America are stupid children, adults, or casuals & they need our guidance! Please understand!

                          (Better?)

              1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

Yes! We’re sorry! We are such insolent fools to dare challenge Nintendo! Let’s fall to our knees, bow our heads, & pray to Almighty Nintendo! Lest we be struck down by His Almighty Vengeance!

                1. Striking people down out of vengence is like voice chat… Not acceptable at Nintendo.

Now Commander? There’s someone to worry about.

                  1. Well look at the bright side with Nintendo’s weak Voice Chat feature, or communication in general, at least we all know it won’t be the go to platform for ISIS XD

                    1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

With how strict Nintendo is, ISIS would be idiots to use Nintendo for that kind of stuff, anyway. Nintendo is probably spying on the Miiverse “private” messaging as we speak!

                  1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

Well some of these people that defend Nintendo do go so far that they do come off as some kind of cult follower that worships Nintendo & thinks it’s some kind of God so therefore it’s word is law. Or maybe they are just stupid. *shrug*

        2. Cockpit view is exactly what I wanted 2 years before Starfox was even revealed I was like Starfox on Wii U could have Cockpit view on the Gamepad. I get my wish so that’s all that matters. Pleasing a God is always a wise choice.

          1. I think cockpit view will be REALLY fun if you can coax someone to play with you Local.

And I won’t start on the missing potential to have online multiplayer, with one of the modes allowing people to team up. 4-8 Airwing dogfights, but 8-16 players because it matches two people per Airwing…god that would have been epic.

              1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

Especially since Star Wars Battlefront won’t be coming to the Wii U. Oh wait! I preordered the PS4 Star Wars Battlefront bundle anyway, so I’m good! Still, online multiplayer for Star Fox will be nice whether the Wii U was getting Battlefront or not.

                1. You fuckerrrr! I had the PS4 battlefront bundle pre-ordered… But I cancelled it. :/ My dad and bro got the other twin, so… Sadly we won’t be dogfighting together. I’m envious!!! That is a sweeet bundle!

                  1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

Why did you cancel it!? Sure it’s EA’s Star Wars Battlefront game coming with the bundle but that Darth Vader PS4, tho!?

          2. I see your point. But how does that add to the gameplay? I find it more like a neat, but useless camera…

            I may be wrong, though.

            1. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

If the camera for 3rd person is anything like it is in Star Fox 64, a cockpit view is going to be useful at times. ESPECIALLY when we have to go to the top of the screen in the on-rails missions & have to shoot at enemies that are also at the top of the screen. So it won’t be an entirely useless camera. That’s the only useful thing I can think of for cockpit view, though, in single player.

      2. Do you guys think this game being so similar to Star Fox 64 is just a hold over for an all new all original Star Fox game being developed for the NX. Maybe even being released a little after its first year of the consoles life cycle?

        1. No. But I think it will still be fun. Platinum kicks ass. I’m hopinh it’s one of those games that it’s gameplay can’t be properly represented in Video. Like Xenoblade. It’s impossible to know how it feels by just watching the video…

The lack of any kind of online dogfighting is a huge, huge mistake though. It’s going to cut deep into replay-ablitity and sales.

It will sell well with console owners, even give hardware sales a bump for 2-4 weeks, then thats it. … I really feel like Splatoon And Starfox could have been Call of Duty caliber games if properly executed online.

Sadly, it’s Nintendo, so it will never happen.

      3. Wait, is it just me or does the cast has metal legs again? I just noticed it in that picture, but maybe I’m interpreting it wrong…
