We have finally been granted another look at Keiji Inafune’s latest project Mighty No. 9 and it doesn’t look as though it is shaping up too badly. The game was delayed till February 2016 and could well have benefited from the delay. This trailer was posted on the PlayStation Blog along with the announcement that Keiji Inafune will be at this year’s PlayStation Experience. Anyway, enjoy the video!

I miss the old artstyle, honestly this game looks ugly as fuck now.

When the old artstyle was much better and more inspired? yes. especially when thats the artsyle the games kickstarter showed and what do you mean by complain about it no matter what? what I said was just stating my general dislike for it.
If you don’t like it, that’s perfectly fine. Nobody blames you. But to say “it’s ugly as f*ck” is nothing but wanting a flame war.

That retro hero, aka. minecraft skin, dlc gets me every time.
That said, that was a pretty nice trailer for a not so nice looking game (and I mean that in more ways than just graphics). Nintendo should take notes.
to be honest the game is worse than it was before (in term of art style). Can believe it was delay to be even uglier…… Hope they will adopt the old style art for the wii U.

You are right and they always be a divided option with this game. Personally the old art style was better, but they will be a lot of people who will like that one. I am not just one of them.
And then watch, this game will come out, get little attention, and then be later claimed as a great game and people will wonder why more games like this aren’t made. And I’ll be on the sideline with a glove to smack them with.
PFFT, are you serious? okay for one, nobody here seems to be complaining about it “looking last gen or bad graphics” no it’s just a fuggly artstyle that almost blends alot of it together and does’nt look half as nice as before, two this game has made more money BEFORE EVEN BEING MADE, then alot of games do in their entire lifespan….yeah clearly a failure, the only reason this game might be a failure is if the creator does’nt deliver, quite frankly barring the artstyle out of it completely i’m still not excited for this as the creator pretty much alienated me and alot of other fans when he kept asking for money despite all the tons he got and that he’d put some of that money towards movies, tv shows and spin offs AND asked for more money for a godamn other game he was making(which should’ve been funded by whatever profits comes from this.)

Sadly, Inafune has made most people that wanted this game jaded because of how badly he handled the budget & production time of the game. So you shouldn’t really blame them.

Reeeaaaally would have preferred that more Skullgirls kind of 2D environment that the original designs and demos had….the 3D models really cheapen this for me….
Eh, I guess that came out wrong. In my head the older demos seemed more 2D, but they’re 3D too…..they still look oddly different and better than they do now though :/

at the end of the ad it mentions “Retro Hero DLC” which might be the old art style?
8 bit sound effects and makes him sorta pixelly. Looks more like a Minecraft skin than an 8-bit version of Beck though.

Great trailer but 3D art/animation ruined it for me. Like everyone in the comment section is saying, the 2D concept art should have been the final design for the game.
