  1. That’s sad to see. This game is arguably my goty now, only thing that rivals it is WItcher 3. I can’t get over how much depth it has.

    1. I’ve seen you online and some of your X rankings. Kicking ass I see? ;D
So… Can you actually play with other people, or just hire their Avatar?

      1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

        >>>Indeed I am, what about you comrade?>>>

        >>>You can, you have to choose Conquest Squad or Friend Squad at the beginning everytime and and you go to the Barracks and either host or join games>>>

        >>>To be honest I’m not entirely sure…>>>

        1. Ah, thank you. I mostly play in the first squad, trying to do missions and explore. I LOVEEE how you can scale rocks you wouldn’t think possible to explore areas with indigenous life that could smash you. The adventurer in me. You and I currently have the same class btw.

        2. I’ve been doing ok, but not quite as well as you it looks like. One of these days when I have time to be on for a few hours, maybe we can go exploring, hunting? Until then, keep up the great work! Humanity thanks you!

          1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

            >>>Well it’s not really free to explore unfortunately, it’s more of a linear quest type hunting but indeed we must>>>

            >>>Yes…>>>

            1. Ok… So, it kinda is. If you push the boundries a bit, you’ll find lower level things to hunt so you can keep progressing… I’m sure they are put there for those of us that love to explore. Eventually, you do hit walls… But I sneakily made it quite a bit farther than I should have been able to…. Not a glitch, just clever Monolith game development. It’s really an amazing game. It should have been a console seller if only people knew about it.

          1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

            >>>Indeed, and to those complaining about the “censorship”,there are a lot of half-naked costumes available to buy in the game for both genders…>>>

            1. Lmao, that would be so sad if that actually made someone not want to buy the game. Humans are interesting specimen.

              1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

                >>>They are only good as cattle, once their function have met its target, they are just disposable waste and vermin to get rid off>>>

      1. If you have any live for Xenoblade Chronicles…. Or open world, or RPG… Damn.. It’s such a deep game. Easily one of the best games the WiiU has to offer… I own anothwr next gen system, and although X pales in graphics, that is… It looks like a gamecube game when compared to my other system… X is still the best game I’ve played this year…with Black Ops 3 second. (it’s story was amazing)

          1. Haha. I know there are gamers who hate it.
What’s your reason? Don’t like all the tech? Didn’t understand the mind-fuck ending? What’s your reason? (just curious)

            1. I find the game to be really boring personally. I have no interest in the campaign, hate playing online with random people.

However I do love zombies and playing custom matches. That’s the only reason why I’m considering trading it in. Sike! I’m going to trade it in for Chronicles X hahaha

              1. I find that ironic and interesting on so many levels. I appreciate your answering. I do find it kinda strange that your going to trade one game, with a great story, for another game with a great story BECAUSE, you didn’t really want the first game to be focused on having a great story! Kinda blows my mind. You really should give campaign a chance though, seriously.

  2. I haven’t seen much advertising for either game here in the US. If it’s the same in the UK, I’m not surprised that they haven’t been selling well. Especially Xenoblade, who knows anything about Xenoblade in the West except for hardcore fans of JRPGs?

  3. Well here in the US, NoA has completely ignored Xenoblade in promotions. But don’t worry, if it sells poorly here, Reggie will be sure to blame the fans for it! Has it been promoted much in Europe?

As for Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, I’ve only heard meh things about it online and NoA has said next to nothing about it (hell, it doesn’t even release at the same time in the US. WTF?)

Maybe Nintendo should learn that they need to advertise to sell their games. This isn’t something on the scale of Fallout or GTA or CoD, that needs no promotion to succeed

  4. It would be really sad to see this be the last Xenoblade. I think they have built something very special with X, and it could become a huge franchise… I really hope it sells well in the US.

  5. What did any of you expect lol the uk is ruled by sports games etc etc and that Nintendo most likely didn’t advertise the game come on peoples ha and xcx is just damn

  6. Jaded Ridley X3 {I'm not whining, you suckers... *cough* ..poor souls! I've just been driven insane by Nintendo failing me one too many times this gen!}

Heh… I expect the sales for XCX to be just as bad here. Why? Because NintenD’OH! *facepalm* of ‘Murica’s Dumbshits didn’t market it right. When the only time I see a commercial of XCX is on Toonami on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, I know they aren’t do much, if anything, to make it sell. Probably using the same bullshit excuse as Latin America but with one word instead of a series of words that mean roughly the same thing: niche.

    1. Jaded Ridley X3 {I'm not whining, you suckers... *cough* ..poor souls! I've just been driven insane by Nintendo failing me one too many times this gen!}

Yeah. I’m semi-over the removal of the bust slider. The lack of advertising is much, much worse. BUT if this was fucking Splatoon or some other kiddy or family friendly bullshit, NoA would be marketing it like fucking crazy! *headdesk* Please allow Disney to buy part of NoA some day, Nintendo. They’ll show you how to fucking market to everyone, not just kids & families!

      1. Didn’t even think of that, yea the marketing splatoon got could have helped this game and let’s be honest, this game should have a much wider appeal than splatoon. So much more to do. Sorry I don’t respond to some things by the way, I tried but my phone wouldn’t work properly and deleted some lengthy responses so the only time I can respond is on CPU which is only at work.

If you got a PS4, you could always get a wireless keyboard & mouse for it. If I’m not mistaken, it has support for those. Unfortunately, no 1st party keyboard & mouse from Sony as of yet so you’ll have to rely on 3rd party products.

      1. Well from a little searching I’ve come to suspect that in order to enjoy the game in all its glory, it’s recommended to download the 4 packs to cut loading. Well I was going to buy it before knowing this, and as someone who has limited to sometimes no internet, for paying 60$+ for a game, I feel should come with said game. If I’m mistaken, please let me know.

        1. So, I’m one of those “Very limited” internet people. I have only so much data, so no netflix for me. I live in the country where there is no Cable. (And me and my dogs love it)

To your point. The game is actually compressed VERY well on the disk. Monolith took pride in how they did it. It doesn’t load nearly as bad as I thought it would… Totally playable.

Ocassionally, since it’s open world, the loading can affect the “draw-distance”, on rare ocassion you’ll see a monster that’s half-rendered, and finishes rendering if you hold still just for half a second. It’s really, really not bad at all, and a real feat what they accomplished on the WiiU hardware.

You should not skip it for this, and so you know, they pretty much maxed out the WiiU disk space, for real. They didn’t want to make the game 2-disks and interrupt gameplay like what happened on a few 360 and PS2 games.

Here is what I did. I downloaded the 2 gig terrain data pack while sleeping one night. Then the 3 gig enemy data pack the next day. Installed both.

I’ll install the other two data packs when I visit my dad, as you can do so without a TV thanks to the gamepad.

I don’t feel like I needed the data packs, If you can handle some industy-standard load times, you’ll be fine, and those load times do NOT affect open-world experience, only when you fast travel or start a mission.

          Hope that helps!

          1. Oh, thank you sir! Yes it helped, to be honest I’ll buy the game no matter what I say about the situation. But I do want the data packs because I’m a sucker for pretty visuals and everything running as it should. They’ll be getting my money, just probably not for a week or two.
