A new rumour suggests that the late Michael Jackson joined forces with SEGA for Moonwalker the video game simply because he was annoyed with Nintendo. Apparently Michael Jackson pitched an idea to Nintendo and was basically ignored by the Kyoto based company which cemented his faith in SEGA for the project. Stefano Arnold, who is the Chairman at Tectoy in Brazil, says that SEGA sold more then 500,000 Genesis units to women just in Tokyo because of Moonwalker.

I bought the vita because there are games that are exclusive to the system that I want to play and older games and indies etc etc and that is for almost any console if fhere are games i want to play on it i will get it for example i will get a ps2 and a ps3 and a ps4 and probably an xbox and xbox 360 anx xbone just for scalebound but im sure there are other games i will want to play and I bought my vita late last year and it is bad Sony isn’t making games for the system but it is still being supported by 3rd parties who are still making exclusives or multi plats for the system that I want to play now those games are mainly rpgs but I haven’t checked out the vitas library and I get games here and there and I will get gba games to play on my ds lite and I will buy a game shark to play those gba games with cheat codes and if the game shark doesn’t for some reason work on the ds lite then I will get a gba sp

I agreed with you when you said ‘Nintendo needs a lot of improvement’ because just like every company, criticism can be constructive, however I lost all respect for your opinion after ‘Nintendo sucks’ and ‘Nintendo’s trash’. Despite me being able to arguably deny those claims as they ARE one of the only genuine companies left who denied DLC and Mobile gaming unlike every other company, and continuously stride to innovate, with successors like the D-PAD, saving, standard controller, analogue, vibration in controllers, memory backup and also failures such as the Wii U. I doubt that’s feasible for Nintendo. They would need to get licenses on a lot of MJ songs (or at least the music for the songs).
Is that really a reason to be annoyed? Just because he was who he was doesn’t mean that anyone should automatically listen to any idea he had, you know? Especially when talking about something so unrelated to his field of ‘expertise’ as a video game.
They should’ve at least responded to him saying no. Moonwalker is one of the main titles that made drawed attention to the Genesis.

There were plenty of other publishers, he didn’t necessarily have to go to the other console manufacturer. Nevertheless, what I consider childish is not the fact that he went to Sega but the motivation to do so, as the rumor seems to imply.
He was basically ignored how is that being a child. They didn’t even respond to him, so he went to Sega, and they gave him the deal. Basic business to me, just like how no one wanted to publish Bayonetta and only Nintendo stepped up to make the game.
He thought he had the right not to be ignored. How is that NOT the behavior of a child?
Were he versed in basic business, he’d know that companies don’t have to reply to you or even to take you seriously if you are a nobody (and yes, in the video game industry, Michael Jackson was a nobody).

That isn’t really childish. It’s reasonable for someone as famous as Jackson to be bothered by the fact that Nintendo didn’t even reply saying “No thanks”. The fact that Michael Jackson was a music artist doesn’t mean anything, he was a pop culture icon. You didn’t need to like music to know who Michael Jackson was.
He obviously went to Sega because they were one of the biggest in the industry at the time only behind Nintendo themselves. Also, Sega weren’t the only ones who made Moonwalker.
So, to get this straight, you are saying that having Michael Jackson’s level of fame protects you from being ignored by people, companies or whatever. I disagree.

Look, we can’t know for sure that Michael went to Sega just cause he knew they were Nintendo’s biggest rival and he just wanted to be an ass to them or not.
