Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima has extremely ambitious plans for the Kyoto based company and who could blame him? Kimishima told Japanese publication Mainichi that he wants to increase Nintendo’s operating profits to 100 billion yen a year. To put that in perspective that’s roughly four times the amount which Nintendo earned in 2015. Kimishima is obviously very confident in Nintendo’s expansion plans as well as the forthcoming NX platform, which will revealed to consumers sometime this year.
In addition to a change in their business model, Kimishima wants to increase Nintendo’s operating profits to the tune of 100 billion yen a year (or around $855 million). To give some context to that figure, that’s close to four times what Nintendo earned last year. So this is definitely an ambitious goal.

If you combine a new successful handheld, with a new successful console, and even more amiibo, yes. Easily, but I doubt all three of those will happen (but more more amiibo will definitely happen).
Too late and for this year? Not by a long shot..not until NX is proven to be Nintendo’s biggest, less BS proof that they actually learn this time to give a damn about everyone; not just children and Japanese. Until then, not gonna happen.
Unless the NX is everything the PS4 is but better, I doubt it.

You can’t expect to increase profits 4x unless you’re willing to change your strategy.
Sounds like it’s easier said then done but I love the fact he’s confident thats what Nintendo needs.
