We’ve got a Pokemon Direct coming up tomorrow and it would appear as though the contents have already been leaked. The two new games are Pokemon Moon and Sun which have popped up on a trademark site along with the flashy logos today. This is obviously great timing and it appears to be legitimate. I guess we shall be seeing a trailer for the two new Pokemon games tomorrow at 3pm GMT!

JUST A THEROY:
Pokémon Gold and Silver could have been called Sun and Moon with the introduction of the day and night cycle coupled with Sunny day and rain dance. Lugia being white and Ho-oh being red respectively. The moon and the ocean have a strong relationship, so Lugias water typing would have made sense. And Ho-ohs Rainbow; which is an effect that happens when the Sun shines after a heavy rain.

I don’t really understand how this is a spoiler… I mean, sure, it’s a spoiler for the upcoming direct, maybe, but does it really matter that you learn of the game from a news outlet (and in today’s case, pretty much every gaming-related news outlet out there) or from the publisher themselves? IIRC supermetaldave specifically said it may not be called “Rainbow”, and that “Rainbow” could just be a placeholder name.
Yeah, he EDITED that into his news posts, but that’s such a cheap way out that I just don’t take it. In the same way, I could claim “The new Zelda game on Wii U is called “Lord of Darkness”, but that’s just a codename, don’t get too crazy about that”. In that case, no matter what the final name ended up being, noone could prove me wrong. Guessing for fall as a release date was also pretty obvious, I would have predicted the exact same thing (both previous Pokemon games were released in fall).

You know, the Pokemon Company has trademarked things such as Pokemon Brown, Pokemon Amethyst, Pokemon Gray, and Pokemon Delta Emerald, but those never existed. This could be the same case.

As someone who has loved the series from its humble beginnings; I’m hyped. I’ve always enjoyed all the little rumors and “leaks” that always seem to show up not long before we expect a new generation announcement. This one, however, seems quite likely (and also makes more sense and sounds much better than “Pokemon Z”).
Even if this isn’t legit, it’s still fun and builds excitement in the community. Personally, I think this is legit though.
Nintendo are the worse at keeping spoiling leaks from popping all over the internet -_- Does any other company let leaks spill out of the cracks as often as like Nintendo? They even leave future update files in their games with the mindset: “I bet no one will hack our games anyway”. I can’t even enjoy a surprise anymore.
Anyway, I’m sure this is true, whether it’s Pokemon Rainbow or Moon/Sun.
To be fair, most people are keeping an eye on Nintendo, and can’t keep it together when it comes to giving out secret info to share it on social media and get attention, even tiny things like trademarks and rumors.

We were surprised by 5 of the 7 DLC characters for smash, most of the stages and mii costumes, and even DLC in the first place.
It’s like being told you’re getting a surprise party when you get home. Of course you’ll like a party, but now it’s not as special anymore as when you hadn’t known about it at all.
When I watched the Smash Bros Direct, I didn’t even care anymore about it because the best surprises were ruined.

This is exciting. I really like the titles, and the logos look legitimate. It does seem odd not having a traditional third installment/ sequel game to X & Y. However, I can totally see GameFreak, The Pokemon Company, and Nintendo pulling a fast one on us. These could very well be sequel titles to X & Y (Highly doubtful.), OR these could be Gen. VII (Highly likely.) and the will be the “Gen. II”/ Delta Episode to Gen. VI.
Hear me out, new region, new Pokemon, new this, new that, and the postgame could either be traveling to the Kalos region as a whole AND doing the Zygarde story arc, or just the Zygarde story arc (i.e. Instead of making a completely separate game, they do it how the did Pokemon Emerald in ORAS, and have a small post-game adventure.)
Or the Zygarde formes are anime exclusive. Which, though sad and what my gut says is unlikely, wouldn’t be the first time. AKA Mewtwo’s clones, Crystal Onix (I’m still not over that one.) Pink Butterfree.
Either way, no matter the outcome, I am hype for tomorrow! Pokemon Z/XZ & YZ/ AZ/ X2 & Y2, OR GEN VII.

Sure you can have spoilers, but don’t use it in the god damn headline of the article. I might get Pokemon Sun, but if the rumour is true about it being a NX title for both the Handheld and the Console then I might buy the one that’s on the console (Fingers cross for Sun to being the NX Console title)
I’d imagine that all titles will be cross compatible between the handheld and the console NX. But I also have a feeling the NX is going to be something different that no one is expecting. Guess we’ll see soon!
