A Nintendo patent has been discovered which depicts a handheld device which includes an infrared camera and distance sensor. The patent was discovered today but it was originally filed with the Japan Patent office back in September 2014. As always this is just a patent, or an idea, and it doesn’t mean it will come to anything. Here’s a quick summary of what this newly discovered Nintendo patent is about.
- Infrared camera and distance sensor
- Gesture recognition
- Distance measuring
- One example includes projector and GPS receiver
Thanks, Shuhei Y
I think Nintendo has always been one step ahead in the controller department and if this was implemented with lets say Pokemon Go this could be really useful. In general motioning can be neat like throwing a pokeball or casting a spell. While I hope they never focus on that being the driving force having it as an optional thing would be neat.
shut the fuck up
Omg Im so buying the NX day one now.
Bitch sit the fuck down somewhere. If even one of you say that right now when we still know next to nothing about the NX. Then my good sir. You’re nothing but a delusional bitch.
“Omg, I’m so buying the NX day one.”
Ancient Chinese Secret huh….
Yeah I see what you mean bro. It looks like Nintendo is coming up with something really clever and potentially groundbreaking. I just hope it’s still powerful enough to get constant 3rd party support but we will shall see at E3
Its the same shit, different console.
REGULAR GOOD CONTROLLER REGULAR GOOD CONTROLLER REGULAR GOOD CONTROLLER
Oh no.
Nintendo better not make anymore dog shit that will take away from what really matters
-||And yet you can’t wait for FF, the worst disease ever since E.T the game||-
I am still interested in a few Nintendo games which in the first place is sad I should be interested in many games from Nintendo but o well when you don’t cater to people like me this is what happens and with the crossover it is obviously what I like to call Nintendo other games which are games they don’t usually make at all and are very sparce in said genre or genres and of course these games are barely advertised and the games look interesting so I will try them since I have an open mind when it comes to games but I do look at gameplay
-||My point is that despite there being several other games that surpasses this filth in every way possible, you are still interested in a game which by definition describes everything you hate the Empire for||-
Depending on the genre and game series I do give chances but usually do not and I am very interested with like how the producer said how this game has something to do with the next 3d metroid game
With federation force I just want to try the game since I am a metroid fan but like I said before if it is shit I will tell everyone
-||Except it’s not a Metroid game||-
Of course it is now you and many others may not accept the obvious fact but o well
Just think of it as a side quest that will tie things together for a big epic Metroid game on the NX. All your guys’ nerd rage-over reactions are quite entertaining though, so by all means, keep bitching lol
-||Never and it’s not Metroid, non Metroid loyalists have nothing valid to say about this matter, end of discussion||-
I like Metroid and I dig the chibi art style, so I’m down to give it a chance. For example, the Street Fighter series is one of my favorites of all the time and I’ve been playing it since the 90’s, and Pocket Fighter turned out to be amongst my all time favorites of the series. Sometimes the quirky shit turns out to be amazing.
-||I am Metroid so we are not in the same level at all||-
-||There is nothing in any universe that will ever change facts about Metroid||-
-||The so called producer corrupted his own masterpiece and Nintendo’s for his own garbage agenda||-
You think you’re a Metroid? More like a parasite larva if anything :P
Also, maybe the producer is trying to be meta with this federation force “corruption” ^^
-||Too young to understand what I meant obviously||-
-||There is nothing “Meta” over this nonsense||-
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I beat the first Metroid on NES when I was 8 years old using an ancient relic called “Nintendo Power”. I don’t think you UNDERSTAND when you’re being trolled commander ^^
Also Commander, not sure if you saw the leak of the Metroids for FF but…. Here ya go ^^

-||Playing Metroid games and beating them doesn’t mean anything||-
i think nintendo is still doing some of there research on there motion controls.
