Unreal Engine 4: Zelda Ocarina of Time Death Mountain Crater

We’ve seen a number of beloved video games recreated in Unreal Engine 4 and this time around it is back to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. YouTuber CryZENx has recreated Death Mountain Crater using the state of the art video game engine and the results are reasonably impressive with some rather superb particle effects. Check them out in the video, below.

  1. This is probably one of his worst works. The particle and smoke effects look okay, as well as link himself, but everything else looks pretty bad. The polygon count on the environment is still really low, and the textures are pretty horrible. The particle effects also disappear when you turn the camera and the smoke looks like is magically appearing from above the rocks instead of coming from them. You can easily tell this isn’t professionally done.

    1. How can you tell the polygon count is low? Keep in mind I know nothing about this stuff, so I am not trying to be a smart ass. I seriously don’t know. Same for pretty much everything you described.

  2. Still. Complete HD remake on NX anyone? Like even better than the 3DS version. Next gen gotta have at least one Zelda remake in store sometime. Why not Ocarina of time.

      1. Doesn’t seem to be doing any good if they are. If Nintendo doesn’t listen to it’s core fans, why would it take the initiative from a couple of fan made video’s? Granted, it would be nice to see the big N cut some slack and pump out some new ideas, I’m just not feeling that happening for them sadly.

  3. I’m always hoping that Nintendo is secretly working on an HD remastered Ocarina Of Time. Either for Wii U or the NX. It would be silly of them NOT to. Since many Zelda fans (including myself) regards Ocarina Of Time as the best Zelda game of all!
