Ubisoft Files A New Trademark For Beyond Good & Evil

It seems like forever that Beyond Good & Evil 2 was announced and we might be one step closer to its eventual release. Developer Ubisoft filed a trademark for the series yesterday though it should be noted it wasn’t an April Fools prank. The filing includes includes Class 9 (game software), Class 41 (online component to game software),Class 16 (paper products), Class 25 (clothing) and Class 28 (games and playthings). The last we heard was a rumour from Destructoid that stated that the game could be exclusive to the Nintendo NX.

  1. Well thats good to hear, it was a cult classic for sure. Last i heard anything about this game was like what? 8 years ago? This game going through the FFXIII Versus(Now FFXV) crisis.

      1. Personally, I’d like to see that game on NX. But knowing Square Enix, We’d have a better chance of every human being struck by lighting and getting hit by a truck at the same time and survive than for that to happen.

A man can dream, though. A man can dream…

      2. Fuck yes! The wait for that game is finally coming to an end. In the words of Yoda, the wait, not short enough it was.

  2. This is like the Eternal Darkness trademark situation…keeps being renewed but nothing ever comes from it. I don’t even know anything about the first one so meh I don’t care.

  3. Ubisoft has been making really stupid decisions over the past half decade, so I’m kind of afraid how they will fuck up the sequel of one of my all time favorite games.
