Video: Sonic Developers Talk About The Early Days

IGN had a chance to chat with a couple of the original developers for the Sonic the Hedgehog series at this years SXSW, and lucky for us, they got it all on camera. Want to hear the lead programmer of the first title reminisce about the blue blurs Western explosion? How about hearing the current head of Sonic Team discuss his initial move to America for Sonic 3, and his recent return to the States to resurrect the series?  Or maybe you’d like to learn what could have been if the development of Nights was sped up for the Sega Saturn. You can check it all out in the video below.

  1. I hated SEGA SO much back in the early days. I thought they sucked, and it angered me that they were trying to make themselves look better than Nintendo. They were a complete joke to me. The SNES took a huge crap on the Sega Genesis in every game that was multi-platform. Though I respect SEGA now, and I even collect Sega Genesis games. Times have changed. But they still suck when compared to Nintendo. But that goes for MOST companies.
