Rumour: Nvidia Involved With The Nintendo NX?

It would appear as though Nvidia may be involved with Nintendo’s upcoming next generation system, the NX. The news comes via Neogaf user Natedrake who claims that he has spoken to Emily Rogers at length about the recent rumours surrounding the Nintendo NX and found out that Nvidia is involved with Nintendo’s future hardware.

    1. Nvidia is a company which is generally known for producing Graphics processing units and its work with mobile computing and parallel processing. However, lesser known is that it actually produced its own line of powerful portable consoles (Nvidia Shield portable) for streaming pc games (among other purposes), but ultimately failed due to lack of games. It could be that Nintendo wants to do some work with them on a similar project, with Nintendo ensuring that there will be games for the system.

  1. Now that’s the best rumor I’ve ever read.

“Nvidia is involved with Nintendo’s future hardware”

Nice and simple. Just like that. One line. Awesome!

  2. I swear the unconfirmed rumors being spread around are worse than GOT’s Varys’s little birds! I’m god damn sick and tired of these rumors, regardless if they are true or false! Can we get some actual god damn confirmation on any of this crap! this rumor spreading fiasco is like reading about a bunch of annoying high school crap!

            1. I will also ask you to please not do that. You are using the name of the one who created you as a filthy curse word. What if I were to use your mother’s name in the same way? And why my Lord’s name? Why not use Buddha or Mohammed?

              1. Did you really think those are smart questions? He didn’t say that because something like “Oh my Allah’s” isn’t a common English expression, smart-ass :P And even if it was; isn’t it narcissistic of you to say “Don’t make fun of my favorite story, but feel free to do so to other people’s”? -.-
Welcome to the Internet. and to life, make a solid argument or tough luck.

                1. My position “is” solid. I asked for people to respect me and not blaspheme my Lord’s name. Why is it that people can respect others for every other reason under the sun (e.g. sexual orientation, race, color, creed, nationality, etc.) but when it comes to God, they just don’t care?

                    1. It is written:

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain”
                      Exodus 20:7

                        1. The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”
                          Acts 17:30-31

                          1. You are aware than quoting the scriptures to a non-Christian just amounts to “because I say so” from that person’s perspective, right?

Then again, given how eager you are to do it, I can only think this is a sad trolling attempt.

                              1. Weird question, but I’ll amuse you.

I’m like everyone else. Good at times, bad at others, depending on an endless list of variables. I don’t believe there’s such a thing as a completely good or bad person. Beyond that, I’m a pragmatist. My values are my own, and I decide when and to which degree they can be applied depending on the situation.

So, to answer the question directly, the answer is “no” and “yes” at the same time.

                                1. Well, first of all I don’t know what you mean by the quotation marks in >My position “is” solid< (I should have used them around your quote, but it'd been confusing considering what I was pointing out).

But if you just mean that it's a solid point, I won't necessarily disagree with you; I'm just pointed out that the argument that you used for your point was useless. But it's nice to see that you abandoned it when you realized it didn't float.
And actually this question is just as bad, it doesn't help your point at all either. You see all of those things you counted there are all things that are things we know exist, and there is no possible way to change them (except for creed I guess, but that fits more in the other camp with religion anyway). If there's a god or not has not been proven. Another point to make is that throughout history, all of those things that you pointed to has been shamed or otherwise discriminated in overwhelming majority by religious motives and arguments.
Therefore, in a quite enlighten era as this is, religiosity is quite easy to lose respect for.
I have nothing against you being religious, but I can and will very much oppose any ideology or argument you put forth that I don't agree with.

                                  1. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.
                                    Romans 1:22-23

                              1. I’m asking you for simple respect. And by your response, it appears that, as an atheist, you are incapable of showing respect. And incapable of caring about what is offensive to others. It speaks volumes about your belief system.

                                1. Ahahaha, that’s rich! First of all I’s like to inform you that atheism is Not a belief system. It is the definition of the absence of a belief system (hence the ‘a’ before ‘theism’, which means without/non-).
Secondly I’m starting to think you’re trolling, as I have no idea why you’d start advocsting religion and “anti-blasphemy” on a Nintendo News-board?

                                  1. First of all you probably aren’t even an atheist. An atheist asserts that there is no God and that requires absolute knowledge about everything. Because there might just be some bit of knowledge among all possible knowledge in the universe that you don’t know yet which could prove God exists. Therefore, you are most likely an agnostic. Secondly, if people like you just had common decency and respected someone other than yourself, we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.

                                    1. I am an Agnostic Atheist, which is often reffered to as “Atheist” as it’s the most common occurrence, in the same way that you are probably Protestantic, Catholic or Orthodox (or some other kind of) Christian, but you would still call it “Christian”.
You are wrong though, however I can explain it to you. Firstly the only thing you can assert from knowing somebody to be Atheist is that they don’t believe that a god/gods exists, and that they don’t have a belief system based on religion. (There are of course a plethora of political ideologies or other philosophies that they can follow).
We also don’t claim absolute knowledge, you actually have that completely backwards, we say that, while looking at the evidence it it’s deemed impossible for god to exist in any way, shape or form that “he” is described. (It is completely unintelligent to say “But you can’t disprove Him!”, just so you know, because nobody can disprove the existence of Anything, not Santa Claus, not flying unicorns, Nothing!)
On that note, there is also no real existence of evidence (not with any kind of scientific backing, and tales of old or “I saw…” counts scince it’s completely impossible to veiny) towards the existence of god, which begs the question why you say that you know “he” exists, and believe in him?

Lastly I didn’t say it’s a conversation that shouldn’t be had, just that I think you chose a strange place to initiate it.

                            1. He asked nicely. If it bothers him, why not just do as he wishes? There are plenty of curse words out there to use. Just don’t use certain ones when talking to him. It’s common courtesy. If someone was saying the N word or racist things about Asians or Hispanics, etc. towards you, would you not want them to stop? Just show some respect and do as he wishes, or simply don’t comment to him.

                                1. Hate speech itself is offensive. The only point I was trying to make is that if someone is offended by something you say and they politely ask you to stop, the appropriate thing to do is stop. You have the right to not stop, but there is no reason not to. When you’re not around that person or taking to them, you can say whatever you want. But if you continue to use those words when speaking to that person, you are intentionally being offensive, and thus rude and inconsiderate. It’s just being nice.

                                  1. And I wanted to point out that it’s not the same offense. I could say democracy in the US is retarded or something to the effect, and if you decide to take offense on that, it’s on you, not the person that said it.

Being offended means nothing. I am offended by the way he jumped to flaunt his religion at first chance, should he stop it? People shouldn’t have to change the way the behave or speak just because someone is offended by it if they don’t give good reasons. I don’t consider “it is written in Exodus” a good reason.

Other than that, I’m not defending the posts of the other guy. I’m just saying the comparison between religion and minorities is blatant victimization, and with a hint of homophobia and racism too.

                                    1. I’m not trying to compare the two. And I even said he could continue to talk however he wanted. All I’ll saying is if someone asks you nicely, why not do it? I’m not telling him he can’t.

                                2. God dammit! When on god’s green hell were you born!? What, are you new or were you born under a rock? Clearly you don’t know how we do things here on the internet.

                                  1. It is written:

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain”
                                    Exodus 20:7

                                1. How the fuck is Nintendo retarded? The company aren’t saying a goddamn word on the NX until later this year. You are the reason of your failures by keeping your expectations at the lowest. If Nintendo were to spill the beans on the NX and its hardware inside, Sony and Microsoft would have made a beefier hardware for their next systems.

                                  1. Of course my expectations are extremely low and sony and microsoft will be beefier by default lol the ps5 and xbone 2 will obviously shit all over the nx i can guess years before they come out and i have a feeling the ps4.5 and xbone slim will be better then the nx

                            2. To be honest, I don’t care whether or not Nvidia is involved with Nintendo NX. I care about games available to play, and Nintendo is the gaming company contributing the least for it.

                            3. I'm just an Animal Crossing

I just can’t wait for Nintendo to show and tell whatever they’re going to release next year. I think they should do so very soon if they want to create and build brand awareness and customer trust again.
It’s been too long. Every day that passes people are growing forgetful of Nintendo’s existence. Sounds crazy to us loyal fans that come to Nintendo news related sites everyday. But why are we hear every day? Because we are so thirsty for some Nintendo lemonade!!!!!!!!! Cmon Nintendo!! Throw us just enough to wet de tongue boss! Lil’ Timothy of the cay is dying of Wii u dehydration!!!!!!!!!

                              1. I do know how you feel. I’ve been gaming on Nintendo platforms since 1989. I grew up on Nintendo. So many fond memories, man… But they are no longer the only ones in my heart, and won’t ever have that position again.

They have been killing their brand themselves, getting less and less relevant to me, at least. I’m okay with it, though. I care about games.

                            4. So now rumor mongers are using other rumor mongers for their source information. Give me a ####ing break.

                            5. This would make sense alongside the rumor that the NX will have parallel processing capability since Nvidia is into that – and also since Nintendo is getting into mobile and Nvidia is also connected to that market. This could lend to some smartphone/console cross gaming possibly, which seems to be the direction that Nintendo is heading.

                            7. A rumour has it that there’s a rumour by Emily Rogers. You’ve gone too far, mynintendonews!

                            8. nVidia is powering the 3DS if I remember correctly. There is probably no doubt that if NX is a handheld hybrid of sorts, they will use nVidia. AMD is good and cheap, but they are not good in mobile factor. nVidia are.
